About this bed and breakfast

Our guest apartment was lovingly built in 2018 with our family and friends that visit Austin in mind. The unit is nestled in the back corner of our property surrounded by mature trees. The private stairs to the rear of the unit lead you up through the trees to the natural-light filled apartment. Our historic, friendly neighborhood is close to all our vibrant city has to offer. Our neighborhood offers coffee shops, restaurants, shops, a park, playground, historic sculpture museum, bike routes, access to transit, and beautiful historic architecture. We are just over a mile from the University of Texas and just over two miles from downtown Austin.

Our one bedroom apartment features wood floors, large wood windows and a thoughtful recreation of the craftsman styling in our 112-year-old home. We purchased and renovated the main house beginning in 2007 and added the garage and guest apartment in 2018.

Spent a week in this sweet apartment in the heart of Hyde Park. Managed by onsite locals, it provided everything I needed and more such as plenty of coffee makers in case one didn't work. The "extras" were 5 star, such as Aveda products for the bath in case you forgot your own. It was quiet, private, charming, and well-located. The owners were helpful, even providing a covered spot to lock my bike. I would most definitely stay there again!!

We were pleasantly surprised! We were having trouble finding a place to stay due to the COTA races and came across this little gem. We loved it! The finishes were perfect, bed super comfy and everything was very clean! We will definitely book here for our next trip to Austin.

We arrived around 5 PM and they had already turned the thermostat down for a cool stay. The place was immaculate and very cute. It had everything we needed and convenient to fraternity house. We love Hyde park neighborhood and stay there every time we come I would definitely stay here again thank you!

The pictures don’t do justice of how charming this place is. The location was close to many attractions and neighborhood was nice and quiet. Very clean and has many amenities to make the stay very comfortable. Would stay again!

This was an excellent location! Cute and quite neighborhood offered convenience to walk to local eateries. It was a short 2 mile walk to campus which was worth avoiding traffic and parking challenges during the events we attended at UT. The owners were extremely responsive, easy to communicate with and always one step ahead of things I would need for our stay. I would highly recommend and personally stay here again.

Wonderful place- immaculately clean and well thought out to have everything you might need to make your stay comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and we found plenty of off-street parking during our stay. The host was very quick to respond and was even able to accommodate an early check-in after a long day of travel. My husband found the bed to be a bit hard for his liking but otherwise we have nothing but good things to say about the place.

This property was excellent! I gave it a 5 star rating in all categories: cleanliness, check-in, location, neighborhood. The owner/property manager Sara was helpful and friendly. If I had a question, she responded promptly. I was working online so I appreciated the quiet neighborhood, tasteful and calming decorating style and excellent internet service. Although I went to the neighborhood restaurants, coffee shop, and cheese shop often, I appreciated the modern, well-supplied kitchen. I love to cook and it was the best! Cute little garage apt. Very clean, and well-maintained. Fully equipped kitchen, and extra blankets and towels. Quiet, family area. It was a little difficult to find from the street, because it is tucked away behind the home. But, that also means that it was private and relatively secluded. We would stay here again :)

I want to give this place no stars...but just to try to make sure it's available EVERY time I return to Austin. However that would be unfair to others who will enjoy the thought and care the owners have put into this rental. Everything is great--from the linens in the bathroom, the utensils in the kitchen, plus welcome snacks, a phone charger, interesting books--and everything is new or updated, which is atypical in these kinds of rentals. These hosts really care about their place and it shows. Will look forward to returning!

Stayed here for a week, and really enjoyed it. Very nice accommodations—clean, bright and spacious. Our only suggestion would be to add a lamp to the living room, to make it feel cozier for reading.
