Homely cottage with amazing views

The cottage was beautiful but cosy and the view was exceptional even in the rain. The local villagers were so friendly and we felt part of the community in a short space of time

Loved it!

Beautiful house and beautiful setting. Hosts were really lovely and easy to communicate with. The house if also decorated and equipped very well. Fully enclosed garden was great for our dogs. We enjoyed mountain biking, a visit to Arran, Inverary Castle and the Oban Highland Games. Would definitely stay again.

Only reason we didn't rate 10 is we found the mattresses a little uncomfortable.

Comfortable and well equipped. Decor was lovely and really clean. A real home from home. Views of the loch were great. Loved sitting on the decking, after a "hard" day, just looking out to the loch. So peaceful. A real gem of a place. The little welcome basket was a lovely touch.

Exceptional

Beautifully clean, tastefully furnished and well-supplied cottage in a stunning lochside location. Little homemade treats for our dog were a bonus! Plenty to do and see in the area. Peaceful and tranquil. A gem!

Hard to find anything negative to say. Even the midges stayed away during our stay! Close to the main road but this does not take away from the feeling of remoteness and tranquility.

Terrific Tigh na Mara

Fabulous accommodation in a beautiful location. Very communicative, friendly and flexible hosts. Lots of extra in-house amenities/devices for babies and pets. Spacious and tastefully furnished rooms.Nice homely feel. Nice welcoming package of food. Strong WiFi connection. Good base to explore Argyll from. Would highly recommend to friends and family for a nice relaxing stay. (we’re already planning our next stay)

Lovely home, lovely location and stunning views.

Excellent location and views from the house. Close enough to travel to Oban and Campbell Town with stunning views along the way. Lovely sized bedrooms with loads of cupboard and drawer space, coat hangers included. Lovely decor, very neat and tidy and well equipped home. Lovely outdoor decking area with seating. We had lovely weather so could watch the stars. It was nice to have water bottles in the fridge and a lovely welcome pack which included bone treats for our dog.

Highly recommended for a perfect stay in Scotland!

It was an amazing time in Scotland, I couldn't imagine the better place for the family holidays. It was an Amazing cottage, nice and tidy, feels like a real HOME. The view outside is so beautiful! Highly recommended!

Warm, cozy and tastefully decorated. The house has a stunning location in terms of outlook.

The property itself is absolutely perfect, however it would be ideal if it was closer to Inveraray.

Amazing cottage in the most perfect setting. Hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful - homemade jam and dog treats on arrival were amazing ( or so pup tells us!) Weather wasn't our friend during stay but we made the most with day trips around a beautiful part of Scotland. Small shop 2 mins walk away with all necessities and bonus breakfast takeaways.

Beautiful Location with stunning views

What a fantastic property. Fabulous views, spotted seals and dolphins from the bedroom windows most days. Back garden goes straight down to Loch Fyne. The house is stocked with everything you need and was lovely, warm and clean. Some great places to visit right on your doorstep, National Trust, gardens, Bird of Prey centres and shops. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again in the summer to see the gardens in full bloom.

only downside was no dishwasher but luckily had my husband for that 😂

A lovely relaxing week in a beautiful location.

A very well well appointed and well maintained house and garden with beautiful views. The neighbourhood was very quiet and felt very safe. We were left some delicious tablet and raspberry jam which was much appreciated.

There was a strong smell of dog when we arrived which rather put us off at first. The upstairs toilet is very narrow. The house is not quite half way along Loch Fyne so not ideal to eat out and we found the choices limited especially Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Fortunately the house has well equipped kitchen. The local supermarkets are rather limited so come prepared.

A beautiful property, very clean, well equipped, tastefully decorated and maintained throughout. Stunning views with access to loch from the private garden. Great communication with very helpful owners. Highly recommend, will definitely book again if visiting the area.

Superb

Lovely house, great views over the Loch, so peaceful! Kids loved it. The owners communicated extremely well about the house, facilities, etc and you just know that they'd do everything they could do cater for you if you had particular needs (they asked about pets, babies, etc). The house had a great mood, my daughters loved using the binoculars to search the loch for seals and all the decorations and knick nacks really helped create a homely atmosphere. This house and location would offer something unique and special for each season I think - we'd love to come by in Autumn! Semi detached but zero noise from the B&B next door, or really from the road outside. Its about an hour and a bit from either Oban, Balloch, or Kintryre (we had a lovely day on Gigha) and this means you get a great price as its not right next door - the drives along the coast or through the mountains were for us a great part of the holiday. We'd definitely come back :-)

Shouldn't stop anyone visiting, more for folks to be aware in case it doesn't suit their needs: We should have checked pics a bit more, there isn't really a communal eating space indoors for a family. Set up a table in the kitchen and put away after meals. We ate out most days so it didn't make much difference for a short stay with 2 kids, but given the property can sleep 6 its something to be aware of.
