About this villa rental

One of the few villas on the island that is set right on a rocky beach, just across from the shoreline of a small cove, perfect for beach combing and snorkeling. There is also a great sandy area between the pool and the beach that you can relax on!
Sunset Beach also offers a full range of creature comforts. Float in the large lap pool or unwind with a long soak in the warm spa. Prepare a meal in the expansive kitchen and enjoy it on the breezy balcony. Perfect place for 4 couples; pool is terrific, and rocky beach was perfect for fishing/kayaking in the early morning before heading to the beaches. Incredibly well-stocked kitchen, gorgeous views. Catered To was excellent to deal with - very responsive to questions. Our stay with three other couples there was simply perfect.

We stayed at Sunset Beach May 6-11 and for a family of 7, we had plenty of personal space as well as an open space for all of us to enjoy games and good food! The beach is rocky, but great for snorkeling, watching the boats from the lawn chairs and listening to the waves. We enjoyed the pool and the beautifully landscaped outside areas the most. The iguanas and hermit crabs made daily appearances too which was fun! Only suggestion would be to add air conditioning to the indoor family/kitchen area. We definitely recommend this unit to anyone looking for a place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday work grind!

Spent a week here with my spouse and 3 other couples. Amazing views, great snorkeling right off the point. The pool is beautiful, clean, and a wonderful place to relax after a morning exploring Cruz Bay or north shore beaches. The outdoor showers in two of the bedrooms are an amazing feature! The house is well maintained and we felt right at home for the whole week.

Beach area beautiful with great snorkeling! Pool clean and perfect for cooling off! If staying in the summer months, bring lots of bug spray…mosquitoes are terrible! Air conditioning in the bedrooms great, but there isn’t any in the kitchen or common area. Made it very hot for cooking.

The house was clean and well equipped. It worked so well with two families. It was so nice to gather at the pool/hot tub when we returned.The only downside to our week was that the main living space does not have air conditioning and the bugs made it difficult to be outside at night.The location was so peaceful. The waves crashing and the sunsets were great, but the driveway was very steep and our taxis struggled to get in and out (but they did it)!

Easy check in, greeter takes you right to the home and shows you around. Listing is very accurate. Kayaks are available to use at the rental along with coolers and other extras. Great place to stay.

We had a great time on St. John. Sunset Beach was the perfect place to get home to after a long day at the beach, St. Thomas or Cruz Bay. The kitchen was very well stocked with all of the cooking utensils and appliances you could need. The pool was refreshing and the hot tub was used nightly. The view in the evening was beautiful and the ocean sounds were perfect.

This was our second stay at Sunset Beach and it was even better the second time around. The pool is outstanding! With four bedrooms, everyone has space for themselves, but the large common area was wonderful for gathering together. The outdoor areas are fantastic, as is the proximity to the water, as there are very few waterfront villas in St John. All in all, a fantastic villa!

We had the most spectacular holiday at Sunset Beach. The house was incredibly comfortable and completely accommodating. The beach front property was the nicest place we've ever stayed. We just adored all of the amenities; the gorgeous pool, hammock under the palm tree, the comfortable beds and outdoor showers. We can't wait to come back.

The house was clean and we enjoyed all having a master bedroom! The view was unbeatable... it was nice not to have the morning sun beating down to enjoy daily coffee and breakfast on the deck with the iguanas. We had some wonderful excursions and enjoyed returning for late afternoon swims, enjoying the hot tub and evening sunsets from the deck.
Highlights included hiking Rams Head and having lunch at Lucy's, spending the day at Maho snorkeling and paddle boarding, hiking to Water Lemon Bay and snorkeling with sea turtles, tropical fish and seeing barracudas.
Favorite restaurants and eats were Banana Deck for nice evening out and the following for casual fare: Shambles, Tap and Still, Joes Rum Hut, Lucy's on Coral Bay side, and Greengos!
Our day trip with Captain Cleve for drift snorkels and Lime Out was amazing. We also booked him for a half day fishing charter and cooked yellow tail snapper for dinner.
We can't wait to come back and definitely want to stay at Sunset Beach again!

The property was located on a private beach that gave the illusion of swimming in your pool at the end of the world. It comfortably housed 8 of us and we had an incredible time. The kitchen was spacious and all rooms were nicely furnished. Each room having its own bath was a huge plus. The customer service was also excellent. They helped us to navigate the covid requirements and also provided a greeter who met us when we got off the ferry. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

The management company, Catered To, provided excellent customer service in responding the same day to our two maintenance issues: they repaired a toilet handle mechanism and replaced a non-working portable fan. We did not use the hot tub because it seemed to be an older model and the water did not look inviting.

The no-seeums were slightly annoying. We were out of town far enough to have a quiet relaxing day by the pool but close enough to town for convenience. The hot tub was not in great shape but I don't think we would have wanted to use it anyway. There was a pretty good breeze in the house through all the windows and screen doors but would have been nice if we could have closed up the main living area to turn on an air conditioner but there isn't one for that space. Property managers were extremely helpful, both before and during our stay. Location excellent within 10 min of town but far away enough to be away from light and noise.. Bay is beautiful. The beach is rocky, not sand, which isn’t preferred. However, there was a north swell hitting the island during our stay, reducing the water visibility at St. John’s iconic sandy beaches to near zero. In our little bay you could still see 50-60 feet down even on an overcast day. Thanks to the property managers for being so helpful.
