Welcome to Casa di Malia! Located in the beautiful gold coast area, this condo is in a prime location to enjoy all that Costa Rica has to offer. This is an elegantly appointed luxury 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom condo. It has been newly renovated and designed. Located within walking distance to both Playa LANGOSTA and Tamarindo, this luxury property will be your home away from home. If you are travelling with family or friends, this spacious condo provides tranquility and peace while still being close enough to walk to lively Tamarindo with its collection of shops and restaurants.
Casa di Malia is part of the nine unit gated Villa Guapinol complex. The complex is very clean and well maintained. The common grounds include beautiful sitting areas to enjoy the many birds and howler monkeys that visit the area. The large pool is cleaned daily and is a perfect spot to enjoy the water if you prefer a pool day. The pool also gets shade in both the morning and late afternoon offering another way to cool off. We have pool toys in the condo for your use and enjoyment.
The spacious and well equipped kitchen has everything you would need to cook up some of your favorite dishes with the fresh vegetables and fruit available at the local feria (market) on Saturdays. And if you don't feel like cooking while on holidays, there are many restaurants just a short walk from the condo.
The open living room is comfortable and can accommodate seating for 6. The furniture is locally made and very comfortable. We feel it is important to have all of the comforts of home while away, so Wi-Fi and a Samsung 75 inch smart is available to watch your favorite programs. The large living area has its own air conditioning unit to ensure comfort.
Each large bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed with comfort in mind. Both bedrooms have their own ensuite, and closet space to make yourself right at home. The condo is equipped with new mattresses and high quality linens to ensure you get a peaceful sleep, and allow you to wake up energized for surfing, walking, yoga, or other activities you may choose to enjoy. Each bedroom has its own air conditioning unit with remote control to set the perfect temperature. There is also a double size futon in one bedroom with additional bedding to accommodate another guest and two small children. A safe is also provided.
There are so many activities to enjoy in Costa Rica including zip lining, ATV tours, nature tours, catamaran sailing, scuba diving and snorkeling, and sport fishing to name just a few. Yoga is widely available and there are so many fantastic spots right on the beach. Massages and spa treatments are also available locally. Casa di Malia is a fantastic home base to explore all that Costa Rica has to offer. There are many tours offered from Tamarindo with transportation included so a car isn't necessary. There are also many options to rent motorcycles, scooters, pedal bikes, or golf carts nearby.
The popular surf beach of Playa LANGOSTA is only a short 2 block walk from the condo. Take the beach chairs provided in the condo with you to enjoy the breathtaking sunsets. A fifteen minute walk (or short cab/bus/bike ride) in the other direction takes you to Tamarindo. There are fantastic shops, delicious restaurants, and some of the best surfing in the country.
While Costa Rica is a very safe place to vacation and live, this condo does provide an extra sense of security with a full time caretaker located right on the property. There is also a property management company that will ensure you have timely access to the condo as well as provide any information about the area you may need. We want your stay to be fantastic and are available to help in any way we can!

This condo was as advertised, clean , well stocked and the location is amazing. I talked to the owner a few times and he replied every time I had a question . Communication was fast and easy. Our washing machine broke down the day we arrived and was replaced a few days later. Would for sure stay there again. Strongly recommend this unit.

We had a great stay here. Comfortable condo with everything we needed. Our group was 4 adults (2 couples) and the place was a very good size for us. Very close to Langosta beach where you can walk down to see the sunsets or enjoy the day. Langosta beach is quieter than Tamarindo beach which is also within walking distance. The pool was clean and well maintained and very nice to have access to in the hot afternoons. About a 15-20 minute walk to the centre of town but easy to navigate.
Being so close to Langosta beach was great. The sunsets are unreal.

My friend and I stayed in this condo for 11 nights. The unit has two master bedrooms both with en suite and that made the stay so comfortable. It is a large unit. The kitchen is big and had everything we needed. The air conditioning worked wonderfully (thank goodness)! The wifi was fast and reliable. There were options to watch movies as well as live TV. The condo was very clean. It is about a block and a half from the beach. The Playa Langosta area was quiet and peaceful but it is very close to Tamarindo where it is lively with shops and lots of people. You get the best of both worlds.
One thing I will point out is that if a person has any sort of mobility issues they would not want to choose this condo. Both my friend and I can walk just fine; however, the steps to the second floor condo are not safe for anyone who has a knee issue or trouble with ambulation. I was recovering from a knee replacement and my friend has a bad foot so it took some doing getting up and down them. They might also be hazardous for young children. Had it not been for Alvaro, the man who works there, we would not have been able to get our bags up to the room, especially after 16 hours of traveling to get there. Even with that, we loved the condo, never tripped down the stairs and had a great time.

This place was a great option for our family of 4. The condo was comfortable, beautifully decorated and well stocked. We appreciated the use of beach chairs/towels. Restaurants, Playa Longosta, and a small grocery store are a short walk away. We saw Howler Monkeys most days on our walks to the beach. Tamarindo beach access is a little further away but still close enough to walk.

We had great stay at the Langosta Condo. Owner Stewart and property manager Hans were very helpful, and super responsive for any questions we had. We stayed for 5 nights over Christmas and enjoyed it very much. Far enough and close enough to downtown Tamarindo to have access, but no night and traffic noise. We stayed in 2 other places during our stay in Costa Rica, and this one was definitely the best all around stay we had. It had all the appliances, plates and utensils that you would need in a normal kitchen, and a large fridge to hold your food and drinks. The condo is nice and roomy, the AC worked great and the hot water worked fine. Nice little patio sits 2, otherwise the pool area is just below with a larger areas. Our other places did not have a pool, and regret that now, pool areas are awesome in the hot Costa Rica climates. We spent most of our time at the Langosta Beach, which is only down the block. Tamarindo beach is a bit of a walk, or short drive. All in all I would definitely book again at this place, no complaints.

Great location and great place to stay with family alot quieter than tamorindo but close enough you can pop in and out easy. Beach was a quick walk and nice waves. Kids enjoyed seeing the monkeys on our walks to check the waves.

The property was clean accessible in a very quiet and growing community. The unit was clean and was exactly what was pictured. The host was very was accessible and easily accommodated any questions we had. The overall feel of the place was very serene even though the place was in a thriving upcoming neighborhood. We even saw monkeys playing around in front of the house. Very spectacular.

Casa de Malia was a beautiful little gem tucked in a neighborhood very near Playa Langosta. We were a block from a grocery store, a few restaurants and the beach. And the walk to Tamarindo was scenic and took 15 minutes.
The beach at Playa Langosta was gorgeous and the sunsets were spectacular. We spent every evening down at the beach watching the sun and never did it disappoint.
We loved where we were staying, the people who shared the condos and the gentleman who cared for the grounds.
I would highly recommend this rental to a family of 4!

Quiet, beautiful location
We enjoyed our stay immensely. So many good things…comfortable, clean, condo with everything we needed, close proximity to a beautiful beach and estuary. Lovely pool at the complex. Quiet location but close to restaurants and activities. The turtle tour was fantastic. Also, the kayak estuary tour with Kayak Club. Ask for Ronaldo who was our our wonderful guide. It was perfect!

A wonderful holiday in Langosta
We very much enjoyed our stay. The condo was perfect for us and our kiddo loved the option of playing in the beautiful pool daily rather than the waves (which, apparently, have too much sand in them for this particular five year-old). We ate in once or twice a day and LOVED ping pong, food, and drinks just around the corner at the Surf Club!

A Beautiful Spot in Paradise
This was a beautiful, immaculate property that served as a welcoming and comfortable home base during our stay in Costa Rica. It's a short walk to Playa Langosta (one of the most gorgeous beaches I've ever seen) and a 20 minute safe walk into Tamarindo. Hans, the property manager, was always available on WhatsApp to answer any questions. We completely enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back to this property again.

Communication with property owners was very good that we had pre trip. Check in communication with the property manager was slow. We did not receive check in information or directions on how to get to the condo. Until shortly before we arrived, this made us a little nervous. While we were there communication with property manager was very good. One of the bedrooms had something rubbing outside the window the whole time we were there. We were there by ourselves so we just moved to the other bedroom. Overall condition of the condo was good and had everything that was in the description. Lots of road construction going on. So lots of outside noise all day and into the evening. This should be over with shortly. And has nothing to do with the condo itself and once finished. Condo will have a nice road out front. We would stay again

Spacious Tastefully Decorated Apartment with pool and near beach.
Casa di Malia is as advertised a spacious well equipped apartment with two good sized en-suite double bedrooms with good wardrobe space and plentiful clothes hangers.
The kitchen is well equipped with good quality utensils..
There are effective AC units and ceiling fans throughout the property and a good TV package with access to Netflix.
There is a decent sized shared pool for around 8 properties . Playa Langosta is the nearest beach around 5 mis walk. The larger main beach - where you can swim safely - is ten minutes walk via a short cut. and there is a small but well stocked supermarket very nearby. .
Stewart the owner was very easy to deal with very prompt in his responses and quick to forward info regarding both the property and the local area well in advance of our stay.
Hans the manager was equally easy to deal with at check in and out and we had his WhatsApp number for contact during our stay( Happily that was not necessary )
The location is quiet and on the outskirts of Tamorindo - it is possible to walk in around 20 mins or an easy Uber/slash taxi ride .
Our safety deposit was returned within a few days of the end of our stay.
If we come back to this area in the future we definitely want to stay here again .

Great place, close to Tamarindo
This condo was awesome. Kitchen was fully equipped to start cooking. We did eat in a lot, so the spices, pans, and utensils were just great. Lots of small appliances.
There was a maintenance man on site who found my prescription glasses when they fell out of my bag - he was so nice and he keeps the grounds spotless.
I would stay again.

We stayed for four nights at Casa di Malia in March. Located slightly out of Tamarindo but close enough to walk to town or beach. Condo is very large and more than comfortable for two couples. Pool area is lovely and very clean.

Beautiful home in Langosta
Not only is the house perfect but the location is amazing . Everything you need is within a walk around the corner. The beach is is amazing and the food is some of the best I have ever eaten . I highly Recommend The Surf club bar and grill . We caught a 65 pound Yellow fin tuna and a 30 pound Mahi Mahi , And The Owner Matty cooked it up for us .

Fantastic Time at Casa di Malia!
My wife and I just spent 5 days at Casa di Malia and couldn't be more pleased. It's just far enough away from downtown Tamarindo to be quiet, yet close enough to get there via foot. We rented bikes, which I would recommend, from Waterman's that is about a 5 minute walk from Casa di Malia. It was hot, so being able to ride to town rather than walking was a big bonus. There's also a very well stocked little market just a couple minute walk from the casa, as well as several restaurants, all which were good.
The condo was very large, very nice, and had everything we needed during our stay. While the beach is only a short walk from the casa, having a pool on site was so nice as it was very hot while we were there. Deborah, who I believe manages the property, was easily accessible via WhatsApp during our stay at Casa di Malia. There's also someone on site who keeps the pool and grounds very clean.
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Casa di Malia and have absolutely no complaints. Stewart was easy to work with leading up to our trip and reached out to me upon arrival letting me know he'd be happy to help with any questions that we may have. We truly hope to return in 2020!

Nice and very well located condo with beatiful swimming pool
I loved the condo distibution, neat bedrooms and hall. The kitchen is very well equipped and evething was working properly. The only observation I can make is that the entrance to the garage is really narrow and very difficult to get the car in. Also , it will be appreciated a litle more flexibility of the administrators; we asked for leaving the condo at 8 00 am I was told there will be a fee ofr it????

Everything you need to have a great stay in Costa Rica
4 adults rented this condo for 12 days. The condo is equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Spacious kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and living quarters. We cooked for half of our days and ate out in restaurants in either Langosta or Tamarindo for the other days. Close to beaches and a short walk to Tamarindo. Mini grocery store close by for essentials but we did a bigger shop in a larger grocery store outside of Tamarindo. Condo is about a 15 minute walk to Tamarindo, close enough but also far away enough from the hustle and bustle of the town.
Only concern was the cleanliness of the condo upon our arrival. We expressed this concern to the property manager and he compensated us with a mid-stay cleaning at no charge.
The swimming pool and area was always kept clean and was nice to come back to after a day at the beach.
I recommend this condo for renting. Good for a long stay.

Amazing condo close to beach and amenities. Loved it!!
We stayed in the condo for 7 nights. Condo had everything we needed and more. The pool is kept clean everyday and eventhough we did not bring our kids, it's very kind friendly. The neighbors in the complex are very friendly as well. Each bedroom has a bathroom and AC, which is a must. The condo is minutes walk to the beach where you will experience the best sunsets every night. Overall, we felt like we were at home and will definitely be going back to this condo.

Clean, beautiful, walking distance to everything, great pool!
Stayed 7 days and it was not long enough! The property is in a great location, quiet area but walking distance to the beach and town. Great pool that is kept clean and is great for kids! Kitchen is fully equipped to cook full meals if you wish but again walking distance to restaurants. Nice little deck to sit on to enjoy morning coffee or evening wine. A/C in each room and ensuite bathrooms in both bedrooms. Overall great experience with this property and Costa Rica. We highly recommend this property and will definitely be back!
