This is the second year we have stayed in the Beach Barn, and we have already reserved for 2025. The place is quaint, but has an updated bathroom and kitchen and a fabulous view of the ocean, which you are only steps away from enjoying!

We have rented through Carolina Shores before and have always had great customer service, including this visit. The Beach Barn was exactly what we were looking for - just two of us, dog-friendly and directly on the beach. It has all of the amenities we need, is very comfy, has a fabulous deck and allows us to bring our very well-behaved furry family member. We love it and plan to stay here again next summer!

We have stayed at this property several times and love it the MATTERESSES are AWFUL. My back is killing me and I was forced to try to sleep on the window seat. My husband does not have any issues with his back and was in pain also. We did pay the renewal for next year but vacation is not fun when you are in pain and can barely walk.

We had a wonderful stay at the Beach Barn. While a little on the small size, it was just right for the two of us and our two small beagles. And the location and view of the price was priceless!We loved it so much that we have already put a deposit in for the same week in August for 2024!

We stayed at the Beach Barn for our honeymooon. It was just the two of us with our two dogs - it was perfect! We had everything we needed to cook, lots of space to store our beach gear, and plenty of room to relax. Being right on the beach was so nice for morning and evening beach walks.

The Beach Barn's best feature is the oceanfront location. The large deck is a definite plus. Unfortunately, despite paying $225 for an early check in, the house was not clean. There were visible dog hairs on the window seats and one set of sheets (already on the bed) and dust bunnies in the main living area. The one AC unit works well but you have to freeze in the living room to keep the bedrooms cool. Future renters should note that there is NO storage (drawers or closets or hangers) in the one bedroom and only hooks (and dog hair covered window seat) in the other bedroom. There were only two of us staying, but if you had couples in each room, there is no where to store luggage let alone unpack. Not a dealbreaker, but good to know. There is a public beach access right next to the house, which was a surprise. This was not disruptive for us but would be good to know ahead of time. The kitchen supplies were just ok. We did not do any major cooking, but were glad for the one cutting board. None of the knives were great for slicing tomatoes, let alone cantaloupe and watermelon. Again, the beachfront location cannot be beat, and the house was just fine for two people and two small dogs. As for Carolina Shores--it just depended on who you got on the phone. Some were very helpful, others did not seem interested in answering questions.

The Beach Barn is truly a slice of paradise! It was absolutely spotless upon arrival, in a phenomenal location close to everything you could possibly need, and the views are breathtaking! The deck is perfection with a birds eye view of the ocean and beach and has the best chairs ever! Early morning sunrises and watching the dolphins, soaking up the sun all day, and a wonderful spot for dinner in the evening, that deck will certainly not disappoint!! Inside has all of the comforts of home and provides a nice end to the evening with the comfiest beds on the planet! Absolutely cannot wait for next year!

This cute, little cottage is PERFECT!! Great location - close to everything; clean; decorated beautiful; comfortable furniture & beds; stocked kitchen; and THE VIEW!!! Loved sitting on the deck, enjoying our morning coffee & evening cocktails - and the dolphins entertained us almost daily. And our little dog loved it too!! Don't hesitate booking this home - we're already planning our return visit next year!!!Whenever Bill is ready to sell his property we'd definitely be interested in buying!! ❤️

There are no words to describe how perfect this house is for a family beach vacation. House is clean, location is amazing, has everything you need to hole up for a week and forget life and just enjoy your family and the beach. This was a 2nd time staying at this house and will most definitely be back. I would recommend bringing a little handheld vacuum with you, sand gets EVERYWHERE.

This beach house is literally on the beach. The waves put you to sleep at night. It’s the perfect ocean get away.
I must say that we ended up paying almost twice as much as we would have if we booked directly with the rental company. But it was worth it to have found the place through Expedia/ VRBO

I also highly recommend *not* booking through VRBO and going through the rental company Caroline Shores -- it'll save you hundreds of dollars. Can't recommend the house enough!

We loved this house! The location and views are absolutely unbeatable.
