The positives are the kitchen and back porch. Very roomy and enjoyed time there. The dock and overall property are okay. Looks like interior of house has been remodeled. Needs some TLC. Baseboards filthy dirty and had problems with the remotes for televisions. One remote worked all three. Fan in one of the bathrooms was hanging out of the ceiling. Exterior of house needs work. But overall house is good.

Lovely house. All up to date appliances. Kitchen is well stocked with the tools you need. We loved the porch, might could use a ceiling fan. Driveway has a slight slope. Nice lake getaway! 4 kids under 10 stayed in the water by the dock. 16 year old had fun too! Adults loved the porch and boat riding on the lake.

We had such a great time here! This property was perfect for us. The house is beautifully furnished and has so many good gathering spots. One of the best spots is the porch. We were here a lot. Great seating for a large group. The home is on the lake, but, as the VRBO description says, it is secluded. We loved that! The secluded spot also meant that we could kayak and float on inner tubes. The dock gets great afternoon shade if you’d like a cocktail on the dock. The hosts were quick to respond any time I had a question. We loved this property and Lake Sinclair! Thank you!

My husband and I brought our two kids (and two of their friends) for a long weekend lake getaway. We enjoyed every minute at this house. There was plenty of space for everyone. The beds were all super comfortable (though as a matter of preference I’ll bring my own sheets if we stay here again as I don’t like microfiber). The kitchen was very well-equipped and everything was in perfect working order. If you are going with teenage girls, please note that the only mirrors are in the bathrooms. You’re about 40 minutes away from any grocery stores (except for a tiny convenience store 5 minutes away where we grabbed a gallon of milk and a 6 pack of beer), so come prepared so you can spend your time enjoying the lake. We had great communication all weekend for the few questions that I had. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We had an amazing time at this house. We loved fishing, swimming and just relaxing. It was very private and comfortable. The bed in the master was soooo comfortable. We saw a deer on the property next door eating grapes. A couple of issues, which we didn't feel was the owners faught or the housekeeper is that the family that was there before us left a bunch of piles of dog poop on the deck. I would recommend if you bring your dog that you clean up after them, it's just being a responsible pet owner. Another issue we had was that the neighbors kept their radio on 24/7, it never shut off, again no reflection on the owner or the house and we got used to it. We had a wonderful 3 day stay for our son's 9th birthday. We had the best time cooking , fishing & cruising the Lake. This home was perfect for us and the best part was it was pet friendly. Our dogs loved it as much as we did. We will definitely return to this rental in the future. The house manager was so helpful and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful vacation. The Webbs

the area it's in was quiet. the fishing was good. the house itself was stocked and clean. it had everything we needed. the week here was very peaceful. we only went to "town' once and that was to make a walmart run. it was about a 20 minute drive. mostly because of speed limits and hills. it's more like just going into the mountains in this area. it's a really nice drive around there. i didn't mind the drive at all. there is a cute little convenience store about 2 miles from there that has just about anything you might have forgotten to pack. they also have a small dining area. you can eat breakfast lunch or dinner there. you can also get fishing bait. it's a great little stop and the people are friendly.

Outside could use attention. Bring your groceries since nothing is close by.

The house is modern, comfortable and well equipped. The beds even slept very well which isn’t always the case in a rental. It was a busy holiday weekend in the lake but we had a lot of fun with our kids wake boarding and tubing! (We did have to rent a tube as the one at the house was flat). Only negatives would be that the yard was not well maintained and the sulfur in the water is quite strong. Even with those things we really enjoyed our stay in this rental!

Our family stayed at Craig’s lakehouse to escape from Hurricane Florence. We were able to book last minute and Craig was gracious enough to allow us to arrive before check in time and was very accommodating. The house was totally stocked with everything we needed, and the furniture was very nice quality, and clean. The house overlooks the lake, which was our favorite part. We had a nice time and really appreciate the owners’ hospitality!

Lovely spacious home that included everything needed for our cooking plans. There is a charcoal grill on the back porch. We brought in bottle water do to there being well water on the property (sulfur odor). We would definitely visit again if in the area.

This was a great experience! The house is nice and new and very roomy. The porch is great and the owner is great to deal with!

Had a family trip to the lake. Was in a good location for us. It is a nice secluded cove. The fish were not biting but good depth off the dock and lots of cover to cast into. We did swim and use the fire pit. Back porch was great for sitting and taking in the view. Well off the main channel so very little boat noise even on the 4th of July. Inside was very well appointed in the kitchen and very clean (like new). We really appreciated being able to bring the dog with us on vacation. Cooked my best brisket ever on the Webber kettle grill. We brought our own charcoal but there was a “starter bag” there just in case. I did all of my grilling on the driveway just to be safe. Only recommendations for future upgrades would be to add ceiling fans to the back porch and possibly stairs off the sea wall for the dogs, kids and older folks to get in the water/board a kayak. Add a walkway or extend the deck to meet up with the driveway. (Would be a great place for a grill and fish cleaning spot). Not negatives. Just a recommendations. Drive to the grocery store is 30 min. (Kroger). There is a local gas station about 7 min down the road with a limited selection on beer, fuel and very basic items. Stock up on your way in. Enjoyed our stay and feel the owners are working hard to make the experience great for anyone who visits. Thanks for the hospitality! Will visit again.

Four family members and I enjoyed our stay at this quiet hideaway for a few days of relaxation and fishing. House and surroundings were very clean and accommodating. Only regret is that we didn't bring fishing net since my son caught a huge catfish which broke line just as he was pulling it up to the dock -- still had great time and was surprised at just how big the catfish are that close to the dock. Highly recommend this fantastic lake house and very grateful to Craig for military discount on rental.

This was a lovely stay, despite some torrential rain that knocked power out one evening and kept us indoors a bit more than we might have wanted. Meh, weather happens. Craig (property manager) and the owner were both very responsive and helpful. The back porch and the dock were our two favorite hang-outs. We fished the heck out of the lake, kayaked around the cove (leaving the main body of the lake to the Big Boats), read, talked, and just enjoyed the quiet. Our last day was a fish fry featuring all the fish we had caught that week -- a feast! The kitchen was fabulous - anything you could have needed. Wifi was excellent, and though we couldn't quite figure out the multitude of remotes and TVs, they were hardly necessary since we spent as much time as we could on the lake. Beds were comfy and MADE for naps, as was the front room couch and its fuzzy blankets. We loved the place, loved being close enough to family that they could visit, and hope to be back!

We pulled in Thursday with our 4 grandkids (two 6 year olds and two 9 year olds) to celebrate all of them getting great grades all school year. We had all the food, drinks, gas and toys we needed for our 3 day stay. The house was decorated beautifully with high end everything!!! The house had everything we needed and more. I can see where this house would accommodate families with kids or couples. We have some great pictures of the kids jumping off the dock and one of the 6 year olds caught a fish. I especially loved the kitchen/dining room set up. We ate every meal as a family talking about our day. We will definitely come back. Thanks for the wonderful stay.

We loved our visit to this cabin! We needed time to unwind and de-stress. That is exactly what it was! The owners have thought of everything you could need to entertain yourself, no matter what age. We relaxed on the dock, and caught a few catfish. We had fires in the outdoor firepit in the evenings. The bed and sofas were very nice and comfy. Modern kitchen and appliances. Craig was GREAT! He went out of his way to make this trip work out for us! Thank you for sharing your lovely home on the lake!
