Needed a place to rest my head while attending the nautical expo. It was perfect for my needs.

The studio was a great place to stay. Enjoyed the screen room when it was raining. Marco and Martina were awesome hosts. Enjoyed talking with Marco about fishing. Would definitely stay there again. Within walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Excellent, quiet getaway in serene setting. Everything is just as stated in the listing. Quaint, clean room with deck on the water and screened room overlooking that. Communication with both the host and property manager is top notch, pre reservation all the way through check out. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it. Thank You!

Little dated, but cute, clean and affordable. Right on the canal. Quiet neighborhood.

Very nice and cozy, Marcus was always available to answer any questions that we had. We enjoyed sitting on the dock and casting fishing lines while also tanning. Property is within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and ice cream parlor. It is also a short drive to Bookelia in Pine Island were we took a boat charter to Cabbage Key and were lucky enough to see dolphins following the boat and plying with the boat's wake. Would stay again if we returned to the area.

We had a nice visit , beautiful view from the deck and really loved those rocking recliners. We would definitely come back again. A few suggestions would be to fix the screens in the red fish room... Mosquitoes and no-see ums were a problem that week ...and maybe an outlet in the bathroom would be great!

The apartment was perfect for the two of us. Clean, quiet and beautiful sunsets. Made new friends at the dock, will definitely be returning.

Nice little place with everything you need. Having kayaks on property was a plus. Perfect are to go out fishing or just paddle out into the mangroves.

Changes in latitude - changes in attitude! Great location-easy walking to all that Matlacha has to offer! Nice deck on the water to relax or fish. Very clean and comfortable. Will stay longer next time!

My husband and I have both just turned 60 and we felt we wanted to celebrate surrounded by sunshine and palm trees. So being the big Minnesota Twins fans we are we knew we had to be close to Fort Meyers so we could take in the last of the spring training games. We didn’t want to stay in Fort Meyers but wanted to be close enough to get to games. When I saw the Redfish Room I knew it was the perfect spot. Nothing fancy but very comfortable. Loved the front porch for early morning coffee and a great place to get out of the sun when needed. There are 3 other units and we really enjoyed getting to know the other renters as we all gathered on the dock for afternoon sun or evening cocktails. Saw many beautiful sunsets from the dock. We thoroughly enjoyed the local restaurants, the quaint shops, sunset cruises all within walking distance! We had some trouble with the TV ......not that we came to Florida to watch TV but Minnesota was playing in the NCAA tourney.....but with the help of Charity we were able to get it working. We loved our stay there and would absolutely stay again. Thank you for the great Florida memories!

Clean & relaxing place to stay. Friendly neighbors staying in the other units. Charity was a friendly, cheerful & helpful host. The reason I only gave 4 stars had to do w/air conditioner & poor TV reception. The AC was not working properly & when the repairman came...he was able to turn back on, but neither my husband or I were able to...so we had to just leave it on all the time. He left & said he’d be back on Sat (2 days later) & clean the back of touch pad to see if it would help. He did that & it was amazingly easier to operate. I have no idea why he didn’t just do that before, since it had also been a problem previous to our stay for other renters. The TV is not cable & the antenna does not work worth a darn. Very intermittent reception. These two items need to be addressed by the owner. They are not in Charity’s control & she did a wonderful job in every way to make our stay enjoyable otherwise.

Adorable, quaint getaway with a deck on a canal, and beautiful sunsets. Our studio unit was clean and adequate for our short stay. Guests in other units were friendly and a real plus. We were able to walk almost everywhere in Matlacha. The Property Manager, Charity, was available for any questions. Cable TV would be an appreciated addition. Lovely spot for a relaxing time. If you are going to be staying in Matlache, this place is great for a weekend get away for two. It has the old school charm you would expect with no frills to get in the way. The host was very interested in making sure we had everything we needed and we felt very welcome. Great place, would return for a second visit.

If you are looking for a clean room, on the water, close to restaurants and little shops, this is the place! 4 units that are close enough together we made some great new friends, but quiet enough for romantic dinners. If you are looking for a fancy resort, go to the Ritz Carlton. If you are looking for a charming little place, with a pontoon boat available for rent, this would be it. We met one of the owners, Marco, while out boating. He flagged us down and checked with us to make sure everything was going well. Charity the property manager, couldn't be any better! Full of information about the area, and quick to respond to any questions that may arise during your stay. Will definitely be back soon!

Charity, the property manager, was amazing! I hope the owners take good care of her because they are super lucky to have her! If you are looking for a simple and clean unique little place, it’s perfect. If you are looking for luxury, then this place is not for you. This studio overlooks the canal which is super cool. Dolphins, YES!! The owners have a pontoon boat you can rent where we saw several dolphins 🐬 Matlacha is neat! Lots of cool shops, good food all within walking distance from Redfish Stopping for ice cream is a must!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Redfish room. Very comfortable and having our dock/deck access right on the water for coffee and sun rise, cocktails and sunsets was terrific! Matlacha is a quiet getaway in general to hang out, eat and drink, fish and kayak and so on. It Highly recommend if a relaxing getaway is the goal. There are much busier places with more hustle, bustle and night life, but that was not our goal.

We had a relaxing time in Redfish cottage. A perfectly quiet spot was exactly what we needed. It was lovely to sit on the dock just outside out porch and enjoy the rise and fall of the tides, try our hand at fishing, and take the boat out to the mangroves to see the manitee and dolphins. Will we visit again? Yes! (only 4 stars because it is, after all, just a small cottage - but much to our liking)

This cheerful, tidy studio was just what we needed. The deck on the canal, just a few steps out our door, was the perfect place to see palm-tree-silhouetted sunsets. There were several good restaurants within walking distance. On Christmas Eve, the streets were all lined with luminaria for a magical effect. Property Manager Charity was very welcoming and friendly and I have no doubt that if we had needed anything, even on Christmas Day, she would have been right on it. We took the canoe out for a paddle all the way around the island, which took about two hours. It was a glorious way to spend Christmas. It's nice that the boats are available. There are numerous nature preserves within short driving distance and we were able to find a different place to hike and birdwatch every day.

We stayed in the redfish room and it was great! Clean and everything we needed. The screened in porch was great for sipping a drink during the evening summer storms. We hope to be back soon!

Very quaint town. Fun to visit.

We found the Redfish Room to be everything we had hoped for on our first trip to Matlacha. Charity's check-in visit was so helpful and welcoming, and the the other guests were friendly. The unit is small but had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked, and the bedding was comfortable. We spent the majority of our time outdoors on the dock, exploring downtown shops and galleries, or visiting nearby attractions. It was great to come back to the Redfish Room after a busy day in Matlacha!

The Redfish Studio is compacted living at its best! The unit is furnished with everything you need and the laundry room is just a few steps away. The screened porch was perfect with a beautiful view of the canal. We also enjoyed meeting and chatting with the occupants of the other three units. The location is great and you can walk to stores, galleries and restaurants close by in colorful Matlacha. We especially enjoyed our evening walk to the corner ice cream store. Charity, the property manager, was easy to work with and made everything go smoothly. We loved our time in Matlacha and definitely want to come back to Redfish Studio!!
