We had a very nice stay at Kiel and Meaghan's well-maintained home. The owners were so quick to respond to a couple small questions we had, and they were very prompt in letting us know when we could check in. We had a rainy week and are looking forward to staying again when we might have some better weather, but we enjoyed some spots of sun down by the water, and we were able to spend the cooler days fishing off the dock and from the canoe. We loved the spacious and beautiful waterfront area, where tall pines offered some nice shade, but there was also space to sit in the sun. Our children (5 and 6) loved the toys and floats, too. The home was clean and we really appreciated the modern convenience of a full kitchen with plenty of cooking supplies, as well as the convenience of the washer/dryer in the bathroom. The queen bedroom has beautiful views to wake up to each day, and our young children enjoyed having their own space in the bunkbed room. When we booked, I wasn't thinking we would use the tvs, but what a great thing to have on the rainy days. We appreciated being able to log in to our Netflix and Amazon accounts for kids movies. The property is just as described in the listing, and the warnings about the number of stairs were appreciated. Thank you for having us for the week!

We really enjoyed our stay in Acton, ME at this GEL lakehouse. It was classic lake house living, something we've been doing for most of our lives in the Acton Area (we have family on Mousam lake nearby). This property was very clean, and just the right size for our small family which included myself, my wife and our soon to be 3 year old. Our toddler had a blast, making use of the water table and kids toys outside and inside the home. We had perfect lake weather, though did catch a few consecutive days of 90+ heat. It does get very warm in the house on days like that - if a wall or window AC unit was added in the future that could be the cherry on top of this home. The home stays cool otherwise with plenty of window and ceiling fans to move air around. By each morning the house had cooled significantly. The beach area is large and great for relaxing or playing with sand toys. The actual access into the water is fairly small, and not overly sandy. There is a cute spot to access the lake down to the left where our toddler could stand and play in a sandy spot. Great East Lake is just such a nice, clean lake -- we swam everyday, especially on those 90+ degree days to beat the heat. Down by the lake, with the shade of the trees it stays cool. As seen in photos, there are about 80+ stairs down to the lake - which had us packing up all kinds of goodies to bring down to the beach each day, so we didn't have to constantly run up and grab things. Overall we really enjoyed our week at this camp - outdoor seating and grilling was fantastic. Thanks for allowing us to visit your wonderful home.

Exactly as advertised. Pleasantly surprised. Very secluded and private. Massive private beach area with nice dock in no wake zone. This makes for great safe swimming or kayaking in the crafts provided. Water off dock is plenty deep for a boat if planning to bring one. We had lost power mid morning and Megan quickly responded with an update for scheduled maintenance in the area. It was quickly resolved and not a problem but we had a FAST response when I contacted with my my concern. Great communication from the hosts! The ONLY downside would be the stairs to the water if elderly, handicapped or obese. Long weekend with another couple and would definitely go back! Thank you!

My husband and I took our 2 and 4 year olds to the lake for a week and we loved it! The camp was very clean and well stocked. Pretty much anything you could need for a little getaway was available. There was a canoe available to us to paddle around the lake which we loved. Kiel was very easy to get in touch with and always helpful with answering questions about the property.

Quiet, restful cabin in a quiet location. Kiel and Meg supplied a notebook with all the information you needed in an unfamiliar place. Lake was clean and calm - great for a person who can be uncertain of water. We had a wonderful time with absolutely no concerns. Thanks!

My family had a great time at this lake house. The house is perfect for a family of 4. The owners were very responsive to any issues and questions we had. We enjoyed the beach area and quietness of the lake in the wake free area. Loved kayaking on the lake and getting a sunset on the lake. Would highly recommend this place.

Nice property although if one has a problem with climbing stairs the walk down to the lake may be a challenge.

We had a wonderful stay here despite cold, rainy weather. The cottage was so sweet, clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The hosts were laid back, helpful and accommodating. The lake beach was amazing as were the wonderful views! We highly recommend this place.

We had a very peaceful stay. Cooked great meals in the very well stocked kitchen, had a fire every night and went boating everyday. Perfect location!

My wife and I brought our two boys, and we had a great time swimming and canoeing on the lake. The house is immaculate, and the lake was perfect. The property is located on a arm of the lake that is low wake, so there were only a couple of motorized boats that were just coming from neighboring docks. That meant they were quiet and slow, and didn't disturb our swimming or rock the canoe at all. We spent the evenings roasting SO MANY marshmallows (and when the 21st century kids got a little bored with that, we could let them go in and watch Netflix on one of the TVs, lol) Absolutely would stay again.

The camp was super clean and cozy. TVs in every room were an added bonus. Great east is a beautiful lake and great for swimming. The water becomes deep very quickly and proved to be a bit difficult for my niece who is three to dip her toes in the water. With a life vest, and inner tube she was swimming in no time. The owners are great! They would respond to any questions within 2 hours. I was refunded my deposit within 24 hours of leaving. All in all a great relaxing stay and I would visit again!

Great East lake is my favorite lake in Maine and this lake house follows in suit!!! Great frontage on the lake with a very clean and comfortable house to stay in. Great homeowners as well. Meaghan & Kiel are very accommodating and responsive!!! On another note we did have a rainy day or two during our stay but fear not as there plenty of things to do nearby. We visited Wells and Ogunquit during those days and had an absolute blast. We highly recomend the Front Porch Piano Bar in Ogunquit, Very fun!!! Enjoy this Lake House!!!

The cottage was clean and has a pretty view. It is a peaceful place and you can play games when it rains or check out some great local restaurants. There are seaside towns not far away too!
