The pool was the best bit, well maintained and refreshing at the end of the day. The kids loved it and spent most afternoons in it. The beds were very comfortable and the air-con in the bedrooms worked well in the hot weather. Clean linen and towels were provided. Nice large fridge with a freezer in the kitchen, good WiFi network coverage throughout the apartment. Good location with less than a 10 minute walk down the hill to the nearest beach. The sandy beach of Saint Aygulf is just a 5 mins drive away and is beautiful with a variety of lively restaurants. Although we had the language barrier the owner Marie Christine and her husband were very welcoming, even providing us with a crate of fresh fruit during our stay.

With a little time and money spent on repairs it has the potential to be a wonderful place to stay but unfortunately it needs quite a bit of work at present. We are a family of four and we stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment with pool view for 9 nights also celebrating a big birthday during our stay. We are Airbnb hosts in the UK and so have experience in holiday lets. Upon arrival we found all of the plates, bowls and cutlery in the kitchen were dirty and definitely hadn’t been checked between guests, I had to wash everything before use. There was also a broken glass in the cupboard which we discarded. The kitchen area is really just a kitchenette with a 2 ring portable electric hob plugged in… no oven or toaster as advertised. The kitchen needed repairs as both the drawer bases and the cupboard backs were falling out. The washing machine was located in the communal garage and not in the apartment so we had to wait on numerous occasions to use it. We found that the shower in the en-suite bathroom wasn’t working properly, also the lights in the main bathroom didn’t turn on and one of the towel rails was hanging off the wall at one end… owners were advised of the issues but nothing was done so we ended up using just the one working shower in the main bathroom for the duration of our stay. All of the showers and taps throughout were plumbed in incorrectly with the hot and cold the wrong way round to the red/blue which took some getting used to. The hot tub use was charged at €15 an hour and not free as advertised so we didn’t end up using it.

A fantastic stay at a beautiful villa with an amazing host who did everything he could to make the stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We will be back.
