This house is wonderful. Plenty of space for everyone. Beautiful views. Great location. The kitchen was fully stocked. The bedrooms were spacious. The kids loved the air hockey table. The owner and property manager were both helpful and attentive. I only wish that we got to stay a lot longer.

Check in process was really stressful -- owner would not provide access code and told us to call the cleaner/concierge Howard the day ofwhen I called, it went straight to voicemail all afternoon for both owner and concierge. I sent a message on VRBO, texted and called and left a voicemail for both owner and concierge. Luckily we did not arrive at 4pm when check in is allowed, as no one got back to me until at least 4:30pm to give us the access code to the property. Communication was extremely poor on that first day. HOWEVER, from there on out, Howard and his wife were extremely responsive and kind -- bringing extra towels and dishwasher detergents when needed, and fixing access to direct TV when it stopped working all of a sudden. The house is big, and the living room has a super high ceiling, overlooking the golf course. The kitchen is well stocked with spices and cooking utensils, though the knives were very blunt and hard to cut with -- consider providing a knife sharpener if the set is not replaced. Of note, sheets were not placed on the beds when we arrived and we had to do that ourselves for every bed. The internet was advertised as 250+ mps and a family member needed to work from the house one day and speed extremely slow (when did a speed test, was 5mps). The owner has since changed the listing to 25mps instead. The HOA pool was great fun! It was about 1.5hr to the valley but still pretty easy access to Yosemite National Park. We had fun!

Huge common space and great kitchen for meals, hanging out and games. Great view of the golf course. Clean, well managed and great communication. Already booked for next year. Fred, I like the new floors.

We highly recommend this house as one of the best we had on our Southern California road trip. The spacious open plan was ideal for our 2 families (10 people). Everything was spotlessly clean and it was amazing to spend time on the deck overlooking the golf course, enjoying the sunrises or watching the deer below on the lawn. Our teenage kids enjoyed the air hockey in the games room. Amazing host. Always responded quickly. This stay exceeded our expectations!

Our only complaint is that the pictures online don’t do the place justice. Great house for a couple families with large bedrooms, wonderful great room, roomy deck plus air hockey and foosball tables.

This home was near perfect for our needs. Eight adults (father/son) golf getaway. Golf course was immaculate, nearby restaurants we’re good, Iron Door Saloon was fun. Yes, the furniture was dated, some of the window coverings need replaced. But size and location were spot on.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was huge and very well stocked. The kitchen had everything we could think of without being overly crowded. He was quick to respond when we were missing an item. Kids loved the foosball and air hockey tables. Be prepared for a very steep descent onto the driveway. BBQ needs to be replaced. Nice views of the golf course we saw deer, geese, and roosters. Great back deck with awning.

The property is well kept and both the owner and property manager were very responsive. The pictures in the listing don't do it justice as it is much nicer and larger in person. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again in the future.

We have been renting this house almost every year for the last 15 years. We love everything about it - the location, the layout, all the space, kitchen is super comfortable and well stocked. There is plenty of space for a large family or group of friends, all bedrooms are spaceous, the house is very well maintained. Location is great, we walk to Dunn's beach for the morning swim - it is 1.6 mies from the house and is a beautiful walk.

This is great place to stay with 3-4 couples. Loved seeing the deer every day/night and no sirens all day or night. Couple of small issues: driveway is very narrow and have to back down it with all cars; having to figure out how to lock the door when we leave because the instructions are missing a step (enter code); fire places didn't work (embiance the last night); shortage of AAA batteries for remotes; no binder of directions/information; and DVR, DVD, and other equipment had no directions how to hook them up for sound. We didn't really need the tv/movie equipment but late at night. We would still rent it again.

This spacious home is much better than the pictures! The open layout is great for families with kids. We loved the floor to ceiling windows and the wrap around deck. We will definitely come back when we go to Yosemite!

This is a beautiful, well-maintained cabin located within the gated community of Pine Mountain Lake Golf Course. We felt safe from the moment we passed the security gates. As for the layout of the home itself, it was perfect for our trip; large, open floor plan kitchen facing the family/living room, with a glass door connecting the whole space to a expansive patio (the size of the entire length of the home). I LOVED the patio! We did not have to bring in any equipment, the home was really well stocked with every single kitchen utensil and accessory you can think of. Pots and pans, bottle openers, BBQ equipment, tupperware, 3 car garage. We also went for a nice walk on the property/golf course, and the freshness of the mountain air, the peace and serenity from the quietness/birds chirping in the morning, it was just an amazing weekend. The kids loved the foosball and air hockey table. And last but not least, the size of the bedrooms, was HUGE. Each bedroom was really well thought out, the size of the bedrooms was just beyond what I expected. The kids loved the privacy and quiet space they got, when the adults took over the living rooms. The bedrooms were huge. Also, I very much appreciated the service we received from both the property owner and the property manager. They were really courteous and made sure we had all our questions answered, and were really friendly any time I called them. Thank you!!!

We had a wonderful week at Fred’s cabin. Fred very kindly let us add another day on the front end of our stay at the last minute (so we could get in ahead of some snowfall), so our kids were able to enjoy the snow right outside the door, while the grownups enjoyed the views of the golf course and the mountains from the great room. The roads in Groveland itself were in good shape throughout, and once the road up to Yosemite was plowed, it was an easy hop all the way to the floor of the Yosemite Valley. The house was very clean and well stocked, and the concierge, Howard was very helpful, attentive and responsive to all of our questions. The kitchen is great for baking & socializing and there’s plenty of extra space for board games, watching a movie, or just warming up near the fireplace. The kids also loved seeing the deer, quail, and woodpeckers that would pass by over the course of the day. This was a great place for our combined families of four kids and four adults to spend the week between Christmas and New Years. I’d go again, and highly recommend it!

Fred was super communicative with us. We got a call the day before our arrival with instructions on how to enter the house and what to do when checking out. Simple instructions were five , strip the beds and being linens to laundry room and put garbage in black bags our side in trash cans. It’s a very open space kitchen and living , perfect for all the cooking we did with our friends from L.A. game tables were a hit with the kids. My daughter also forgot her computer in the house and overnighted to us . Haward was super nice when communicating with us about the computer , super kind , both Fred and Haward. My family Ans our friends has a great time and I can’t wait to be back !

This place is HUGE and pictures do not do it justice! There was plenty of room for myself and friends for our golf getaway weekend. Fred was communicative and easy to work with. My only request is that they put together a binder or something with just some simple details about the house, check in and check out process, etc. Overall our stay was fantastic! +*This also has nothing to do with Fred or his property, but the Pine Mountain Lake Gate Fee of $40 per car is a little pricey and good to know for future guests.

Our group of 9 had plenty of room to spread out and relax in comfort. The huge backyard deck was a favorite spot for morning coffee watching the wildlife on the golf course and eating big family dinners off the grill. The house was very clean. The kitchen and laundry room had everything we needed.

Our family LOVED this home! So spacious, beautiful view of the golf course, and the air hockey & foosball tables were bonuses for our kids! Great location and we were able to do a lot without having to go to Yosemite. Can’t wait to come back!

Negatives: -owner not communicative/proactive/responsive: -had to reach out to owner the evening before arrival as no information had been provided on how to access property -owner never responded to a separate message/concern I sent -$40 parking charge for each car -trash has to be hauled out via car to a separate location about 1/4 mile away; owner & documentation in the house said to be sure to use a specific trash bag which was not anywhere to be found in the house Positives: -spacious house -large outdoor deck Other: -First picture for listing is of a pond/lake, but there is no lake/pond adjacent to house.

PROS: Huge living room with high vaulted ceiling’s flows nicely without walls into kitchen and dining. Large wrap around deck with grill etc. All four bedrooms very large. Kitchen fully equipped (appliances and cookware /tools/ dishes, etc.) CONS: Deck was in need of sweeping and hosing off in order to use. Freezer below fridge (and ice maker) had to be cleaned before using. Appeared as something exploded in it. The deck could use lighting around and under umbrella over dining table. We ate all our meals on deck. Great spot, however dinners were challenging to see and take pics.. Lawn maintenance for the golf course (directly below back deck) is a lengthy process that begins extremely early in the morning and loud enough to ruin any chance of falling back to sleep (yes, over the weekend). All in all the stay was wonderful and we definitely would rent again. Oh, FYI... we spent two days in Yosemite, driving hwy 120 from property took approximately 1:20 to park gate, both days. Another 35-40 min to valley floor.

Everyone that entered the home were awestruck by the huge living room and the kitchen and the high vaulted ceilings and the large full-height windows. Kids had a lot of fun in the game room. The large kitchen and the island were very useful. Communication with the owner was excellent, and they were very responsive and proactive throughout the stay. I already suggested them to put better pictures on the VRBO because they don't depict how good the home really is, and we almost passed over this home due to inadequate pictures. Also, the WiFi is very spotty. The narrow sloping driveway is a challenge to park multiple cars in, especially with the garage not being inaccessible. Also, taking the trash out in our cars to a few blocks down the road was an inconvenience. But these were minor nitpicks in an otherwise unbelievable home.

We have stayed at Pine Mountain lake 5 times, in 5 different houses, and this one was one of my favorites! I loved the layout of the house and we enjoyed overlooking the beautiful golf course. The owner was very responsive, informative and kind.

We had a great comfortable time. Property owner was super responsive and nice. Highly recommend for getaways with friends and family. Only nitpick is the dishwasher could use an upgrade. Wasn't cleaning well.
