This was our second summer staying here and we had another great week! Highly recommend this house for families looking to have a relaxing and low key beach vacation. The house is perfectly set up for what we needed and Kathy is a wonderful host. Looking forward to returning next June for our third stay!

Spring fishing in Rhode Island has become one of the favorite trips our group of friends have discovered. The location on Great Island was ideal giving us easy access to the boat launching ramp and marina. The accommodations were perfect with plenty of room for each member in the group to relax. Kathy, our host, communicated clear instructions and was very understanding when a key was mislaid but quickly returned!

Large 4 bedroom home , close to beaches , restaurants and the Block Island ferry. We loved the AC and the outdoor shower during a July heatwave! Great Island is a perfect location to either go to Newport or Watch Hill!

This property was very clean. It had everything and more than we needed. We were all adults but this property is great for families with children. I highly recommend this rental .

The house was spacious, comfortable and well equipped and the owner was helpful and easy to reach. The yard with outdoor seating and shower was a nice bonus. Lovely neighborhood and location!

Property was well maintained and clean. The owners responded quickly to answer any questions. This property is close to so many things to do in Narragansett and only a 30-40 min drive to Newport, Jamestown and Providence .

We loved this house and the location was PERFECT. This quiet neighborhood on a little island was paradise. Kathy was extremely responsive and the house was very well equipped for a family vacation with young kids. Can’t wait to return!

We had a wonderful time at the beach house for the week. The house was set up perfectly for our family. My dad was able to have a bedroom on the first floor close to the bathroom and having 4 bedrooms total gave us enough room and space for everyone. I really enjoyed waking up early and going for a quiet morning walk. The neighborhood is very quiet and very family friendly. The backyard is set up perfectly for a family to enjoy the outdoors. The yard games for the kids were a hit! The propane grill worked great and was very clean and ready to use. We appreciated having beach chairs, boogie boards and beach towels to use on our trip. The house is very close to the block island ferry, great seafood and several beaches. We would definitely like to come back again. Thank you Kathy!

This house was perfect for our family vacation! The location was great…close to everything. We walked to the Block Island ferry. The house had everything we needed for the week. Great backyard….perfect for hanging out or playing games. Kathy was a wonderful host!! Hope to go back next year!!!

My family and some friends spent the week of the 4th of July at Kathy’s wonderful home on Great Island in Narragansett. The location was perfect and it was both a beautiful and easy walk to the restaurants as well as The Block Island Ferry in The Port of Galilee. The beaches are just a hop away and there are plenty of places to explore in the surrounding area in addition. Kathy is super helpful and responsive with lots of great tips for the area, should it be your first time, like it was for us. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a fun get-away to a charmimg island, just a mile from Point Judith. I will definitely be looking to return in the coming year, too. Thanks again for everything, Kathy!

The house wasn't as clean as I would have liked and there were ants in the living room. Contacted the owner and she came but we still saw ants. Nice location close to town and beaches.

Great house for kids. Beautiful large yard. Nice Grill. Plenty of space for large group. Close to beaches and restaurants.

The house more than met out needs. Plenty of room for all of us. We liked the convenient location and enjoyed exploring the area.

Everything was exactly as described and sparkling clean. Kathy was very responsive and gave excellent recommendations. It was a wonderful relaxing vacation.

We have stayed at this property four times and are never disappointed. The Great Island location is perfect for walks along the shore and is convenient to beaches and restaurants. The house’s big yard is a good spot for outdoor meals or just drinks.

Great house in a great location! Kathy was easy to communicate with and very responsive! We had a lovely stay. House is in a great neighborhood. We had a wonderful week with our two young boys!

Exquisite accommodation for family members. Offering plenty of outdoor and indoor space for entertaining and relaxation. The home is centrally located by local seafood markets and restaurants. The home is well equipped for a stress free vacation.

Comfortable cottage, everything we needed, yard and grill/patio were particularly a hit with our group. Walked to dinner at George’s and B.I. ferry, Capt. Wheeler State Beach was a very short drive & perfect for us with small kids. Our first time to this area, and we’ll be back!

My sister has a house on Great Island, a quiet neighborhood surrounded by the Salt Pond, yet walking distance to Point Judith. So we love the area, and it was great to find a rental on the island for our "overflow" crowd. The house is in good shape, and the kids especially enjoyed the large yard. Kathy was very responsive and helpful.

17 Periwinkle was a great property that lacked nothing. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was adequate and well-equipped. Oddly, the only minor complaints that I had revolved around cleaning. The broom, dust pan and foxtail were very lame and there was no vacuum:-). The dryer also struggled to dry a load of towels, which made checkout a little stressful. This is not a five star property but I would have given 4.5 stars if that was an option because the property was clean, comfortable, well appointed and very functional! We had a great week, thank you Kathy!!

I would recommend this home to anyone looking to vacation in RI. We enjoyed Block Island, Newport cliff walks and the local restaurants. Love the wood floors.

The house had everything we needed to relax, and with the reliable WiFi, we also were able to stay in touch with our offices and catch up on some work. We took advantage of the late summer weather to enjoy several meals on the deck in the large back yard. The Great Island location is perfect -- just a short drive from several of our favorite beaches and restaurants. And because it's away from the summer crowds, It's quiet and a good place to walk or run.

Overall the location was good, the house was big enough for us with AC in every room, and the outdoor shower is definitely a plus. The only issues were the stained carpet, the floor tile sinking in the bathroom and not having a big pot to cook in.

Plenty of room for my family of 7 for a week away. Clean and comfortable. Fun to walk to town and around the quiet neighborhood. Nice yard for small children to play and no clutter in the house for them to get into trouble. Loved the outdoor shower! Thanks, Kathy.

Nice place clean and inviting. Just wish there were largest pans for pasta and maybe a lobster pot for boiling them. But other than that great place I recommend it. Thank you Kathy.

We have come to RI for years to vacation, this was our first year to stay in Narraganett......this house was everything listed in a perfect location. We visited Newport, Mystic, and Watch Hill while staying here. The house was clean and very well stocked..... Beach chair, sand toys, well equipped kitchen.... 5 stars!!!!

My family really enjoyed staying in this cottage. The comfortable, well-appointed home provided everything we needed. The yard, with its patio, table, and chairs, was the perfect spot for a morning coffee or cooling off at the end of a hot day.

Kathy's home was very comfortable and very well stocked with everyday essentials. Cotton sheets and lots of towels, including bath towels. It made the vacation stress free.
