The cottage was fantastic and served us well for an extended family of 17. Well equipped kitchen and facilities and a beautiful setting. Great communication and assistance from the host. We were celebrating a 70th birthday and very much enjoyed our time in the New Forest & Bournemouth.

The place we hired for our group of family and friends was way above our expectations. Such a beautiful house and location and Alix and family were really helpful with anything that we needed. The gardens and grounds were stunning and every piece of equipment you need is available in the house.The whole weekend was amazing and helped us celebrate the marriage of our son and his new bride.. Everything was perfect and we hope that will will stay in this house again soon ( who know’s, maybe a christening?!) Thank you for a memorable few days in Burley 😎 John

Turned up to the house and we were totally blown away! What a beautiful setting. Alix was great, told us everything we needed to know before we arrived. The only reason for the 3 stars on cleanliness was because the bathrooms werent as clean as they should have been and the kitchen and floors could have been cleaner along with the house being a bit dusty. We also struggled to get hot water throughout the weekend. However these things did not effect our time away (more for you just to be aware) with family celebrating my husbands 70th birthday and we had the most amazing time and you have a very beautiful cottage. Thankyou 💙

My family spent a wonderful couple days at Christmas in this ideal New Forest getaway. We were a large group of 16 but the house felt really cosy and spacious at the same time. It was our second visit to the property because we were desperate to spend Christmas there. It did not disappoint. Ideally situated, very accomodating and very welcoming host. Wouod love to stay again.

We enjoyed our weekend break with family at this lovely cottage in Burley. It is in a perfect location, just a short walk from the village. Spacious and well equipped for families staying with all the amenities available.
Apart from a few cobwebs here and there, the cottage was rather cosy.
A lovely break in October, saw so much wildlife on our walks around the grounds.
We really enjoyed our stay!

Two night break for family group ages ranging from 2 months to mid 70’s to celebrate a birthday.
Well equipped house with plenty of space. Particularly liked the playroom with toys for the children and plenty of fridges for food and wine. Nice peaceful location.
Sensor light outside front door not working so steps a bit hazardous in the dark.

As a family we had a lovely few days in the cottage and enjoyed the ample indoor space. As it was very hot the provision of four garden umbrellas and stands was much appreciated as we ate outside most of the time. The two kitchens in the property was really useful too, one for food and one for liquid refreshments! Nice local walks and not too far to the sea.

This is our second stay here and we absolutely love it. Alix is an amazing host and ensured everything was spot in for our arrival. The house is well stocked with everything you could possibly need and much more.
It’s a great location, right in the forest but close to the village amenities and not too far to drive to the beach.
I’m sure we’ll be back!

Fun in the forest
We were a family group and went to the water park and did medieval trio activities at Insight activities. Both absolutely fab. The house was perfect for our large group

Brilliant in every way....including the weather!
We booked this "cottage" for a delayed big birthday. It had everything you could require from superb bedding, coffee machines, indoor and outdoor seating and a big safe garden.....and much, much more.

Amazing!
Have just returned from an extended family break over the jubilee weekend after originally booking for May 2020. We had an absolutely amazing time together. The house and garden are fabulous with everything we needed and more. Great location to explore our favourite places. Thank you so much Alix

Excellent place to stay.
Very impressed with this property. Superbly equipped for us all (10 adults and 3 children) including toys and games for the children. Excellently kept grounds and outside seating. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic for a family get together
Property location beautiful. Equipment level superb right down to baby bibs and cutlery to wine glasses as well as champagne glasses, loads of big saucepans and serving dishes for a group, picnic ware for outdoor meals, plenty of bathrooms. Plenty of toys, games, DVD's etc though we were lucky with the weather so were out and about a lot.

Great place for a family holiday
We loved our time in the New Forest. The property was ideal, with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as peace and quiet, and easy access to the beach. The property had everything we needed, and communication with the host was swift and easy. Highly recommended!!

Ideal family cottage for large group
Easy access to gated cottages. Very well equipped for Christmas break. We loved the freedom the large property have us and the grandchildren. Very quiet at night except for the owls.
Plenty of games to play, but weather not nice enough to use outdoor facilities.
Owner happy to be contacted to resolve any problems.

Excellent venue for family celebration
Great space for different ages to celebrate together. This was by far the best equipped holiday house kitchen that we have ever come across with all the equipment you could possibly need to feed a large number. Autumn colours were an added bonus that we could not have predicted.

Excellent venue for a large party.
Originally two cottages, but now with substantial extensions. Our party was Covid reduced in number, so we didn't use all the rooms. The large sitting-room and kitchen were good with all the necessary equipment. They would have been fine for a larger party. Upstairs underlines its origins as two cottages, with some small bedrooms and only one en-suite.
Delightful location in woodland, and convenient for walking and the other New Forest activities.

We had a wonderful stay at this house. Location is perfect to explore the New Forest. Would highly recommend for groups wanting to get together, lots to see and do. Great property and very well equipped. Would happily visit again!

Brilliant Weekend
We had a wonderful weekend at Burley Hill Cottage. The property was spotless and well equipped. It is a 10 to 15 minute walk into the village and there are lovely walks all around. We had dinner at the Burley Inn one night and had a delicious Sunday lunch at The Three Tuns in Bransgore which is about 4 miles away. Everyone fully enjoyed their stay.

Perfect for large family gatherings
The property was clean and very well equipped, plenty of space for a large group, the host was easy to contact and could not have been more helpful. Lots of extras eg toys, games, barbecue. Beautiful spacious garden with plenty of seating, we ate most of our meals outside. Wonderful setting within the forest, peaceful and great for wildlife enthusiasts. Village a short walk away. A perfect place for family and friends to meet. We are sure to visit again.

Lovely house in beautiful surroundings
We had a lovely 3 days in the house. It was fully equipped with everything you could wish for and plenty of toys and DVD's to keep the children amused and a large garden for them to play in. We had a bbq one evening on the large patio and some lovely walks straight from the house in a beautiful part of the New Forest.

Wonderful stay!
A spacious, well-laid out and perfectly located property. Ideal for multi-generational family gatherings. 14 of us stayed here, age range 1-71. We all had a wonderful time and would definitely go back. So practical for large family groups. Owner very communicative in the lead up to the stay and we had no issues at all while we were there.

Great property for our 5 families. It was so well equipped. Alix couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating.
It was great to be able to walk or ride out into the Forest and enjoy lunch at one of the nearby pubs on our way back.
We loved it so much we’ve booked again for next year.

Great property and accurately described. We had a great time. Plumbing issues in one room. Shower did not work. Kitchen could do with a more thorough clean. Significant dust deposits on some surfaces. Overall still very happy !

The property was magnificent, you will want for nothing, stunning location, stunning property, I wanted somewhere for family, friends and dogs to be accommodated for my wife’s birthday, don’t think I could of choose better if I had tried, five star rating across the board from me.

The house is beautiful and perfect for a large family gathering with large living spaces and flexible bedroom arrangements. The children loved the playroom and all the toys especially. And the setting is great too - peaceful and rural yet easy walking distance to the village amenities and access to the wider area. A real gem.
