The house was very roomy…the 4 bathrooms with each bedroom was very convenient after being at the beach all day! The house could have been cleaner but still very nice! Would stay here again for sure!

There isn’t a property manager or anyone else that responds to email or voicemail. Dried feces in the toilet, one towel for each bathroom, dirty bathroom rugs, dirty appliances, no kitchen towels, dishwashing liquid or detergent. The ONLY thing that appeared to be done is the beds, but I question if the sheets were clean. If you’re cleaning how do you miss the nasty toilet? They came by Wed evening, after I called my credit card company. My SIL had to work on the TV’s, the washer reeked of mildew and the dryer takes forever to dry - btw, we did find some damp towels in the dryer. A simple list of instructions on the counter would have helped - the trash is picked up on Wed, the wrist bands are no longer needed at the pool, the shuttle’s phone number, etc. This property is not being taken care of, nor are their guests.

Property was nice. I personally would have selected a place on the water had i made the choice. Overall was pleased with the property.

Great stay! Very room! Very clean! Absolutely nothing but praise for this location! It was a super quick booking, less than 24 hrs. A last minute vacation that was accommodated! Would highly recommend booking here and will definitely be booking again!

No complaints, very clean

We really enjoyed our stay and the house was great. Our only problem was when we arrived the house had not been cleaned since the last family was there. I mean nothing was done. Towels were in the shower and bedding was in the floor. I think it was totally overlooked. Housekeeping came and cleaned and was finished at 6:00 p.m.

We had a great time. The place was very clean and ready to go. We could not get the front door code to work, but we were able to get through the garage. Lost Key was beautifully equipped. We took advantage of the shuttle. Convenient to get to the beach, no need to search for parking. Loved how each bedroom had their own bathroom. Very handy. Looking to come back soon.

This resort is not within walking distance to the beach. The shuttle service offered by the resort was timely and convenient however not very useful as you cannot take chairs or coolers on the shuttle. The resort offers 4 chairs on the beach. When the townhome sleeps 12, where are the others supposed to sit? There is no parking at the beach which made the logistics of going to the beach miserable. There are so many stairs inside and outside the townhome, not easy for loading and unloading. Of all the VRBO rentals I have had, this is by far my least favorite. The home was nicely decorated, and the kitchen well stocked with dishes and pans, there were only 4 drink glasses, plenty of wine glasses and coffee mugs. Think twice before reserving this resort...lots of rules. That being said, the pool is perfect as is the beach.

This property was beautiful! Not only the home itself, but the entire neighborhood! So peaceful and quiet! We enjoyed our week here and and was sad to see it end!

Huge home with a bathroom for each bedroom. Clean, bright, great location in a golf community. Pool and gym right on the same road. Loved every minute of it. Only drawback was the riptide at the beach.

We (10 ladies over 20 years old) really enjoyed our stay here! It was clean, and the owner was responsive, including with regard to the two minor technical difficulties we encountered there. There are four lovely bedrooms, each with a TV and bathroom (the 3 upstairs bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms). Only the master bedroom (upstairs) has enough floor space for air mattresses, but we fit 3 twin air mattresses (1 provided at the property) in there so five adults could sleep in there. The garage is two car lengths deep, and the property is a 20-minute walk from the beach. We recommend this rental, and we are considering renting it again in years to come!

We enjoyed our stay at Lost Key Resort, love the area and location. We stayed in a different townhouse there last year and decided to come again this year. The townhouse this year we stayed in was in need of fresh paint, carpet is dirty, needs replaced. There are handprints on some of the walls and lots of marks on them. The ice maker is duct taped and also the microwave inside has duct tape to hold the plastic over the vent. The townhouse was clean as far as floors, bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen, but it really needs a deep cleaning of the bottom molding/trim boards and doors. The air vents in the bathrooms were full of dirt and like looked like mold growing. The front door needs the threshold weather stripping replaced, it is coming off and you can see daylight under the door. We cleaned all the return vents in the bathrooms, the track and around the sliding glass door to the porch had bugs and alot of dirt so had to clean that, the garage door leading to the townhouse was black on the outside and we cleaned that also. We also cleaned fingerprints off of some of the other doors. The microwave quit while we were there, we got in touch with the property manager and he did send maintenance to look at it, they brought a different one to sit on the counter for the rest of our stay, it worked fine, but we had to clean that too, outside was dirty and inside had food splatter all over, I would have thought they would have cleaned it before they brought it. With all the cleaning we did they really should return our cleaning fee. We took pictures to prove it, but cannot attach them here.

The property was awesome. We all loved it!! Great location. I’ll definitely tell our friends about it. Thanks for a great Christmas vacation.

This house was the perfect location and perfect size!

Bottom line - I would not recommend this townhouse nor we will ever stay in Lost Key again. We stayed here last year with a handful of issues but decided we’d give it another shot - mistake. Good communication prior to arrival and even offered early check in when asked. For the most part, the townhouse is fine. The carpeting is getting quite old and nasty, but the furnishings still feel clean enough. We did arrive to a weird quilt on the master bed which I discovered 2 days later was bc the comforter had been washed and “dried” - meaning left to sour in the dryer for us to find. The tvs did not work over half of the time, the internet is horrible and the ice maker is literally duct taped due to a broken latch - old duct tape that constantly pulled off, at that. The biggest issues, though, came with the community amenities. Let me say, the beach club was closed our entire trip last year, and all we had was the community pool. This year, the community pool was closed for “cleaning” when we got there and didn’t open until 2 days later. When I contacted the owners they simply said they couldn’t reach management and it should be open tomorrow. We did find out it was, in fact, broken. The next day, they literally shut down every. single. thing. over Ian… we weren’t even near the cone of predictability at that point! We had maybe 3 hours on the beach/pools before they removed every single piece of furniture and literally guarded the pool… with 4 kids ages 4-7 to entertain all week, we ended up spending hundreds on other activities. The high rises had their chairs out for 2 whole days after lost key locked up theirs, and we had gorgeous weather all week! It is painfully obvious that this place is poorly managed and struggling. We spent all week being told “we emailed the owners.” Never once was any information passed on to us. They didn’t even bother to send us check out info so I went searching for the info I had to request last year. To this day, over a week later, I have not received a single communication from the owners since my last request - no we hope you enjoyed your stay, we value our renters and their reviews, nothing. It was a form email from VRBO that asked for this review. I do not like leaving reviews like this, but I dislike more the idea of other families wasting valuable family time dealing with the nonsense of this beach club. Spend a bit more and stay in a high rise on the water.

The townhome was in great shape, clean, and in a great location near the beach. We are already planning to return to this property next summer. My family really liked the option of being able to go to the resort pool in the neighborhood or going to the beach club and beach less than a mile away at the entrance.

The home was very clean, nicely decorated and was exactly as described. The kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of space to store your food. It was great having 4 bathrooms so everyone could spread out in their own space. There are a lot of steps so the baby gates were greatly appreciated! The older kids put the bikes to good use. The big pool is great for small children with a zero entry. The oversized garage gave an extra space for playing during bad weather and was also big enough to house 2 smaller cars. We were very pleased that the shuttle would pick us up at the house and the beach chairs and umbrellas were available at no cost, what a bonus!

My family needed this time together after a tragedy. The property was a zen-like environment. It was well-equipped, spacious, and welcoming. The property was clean upon arrival. The only reason I withheld a star is because the carpet and sofa needs a deep cleaning but it's peak season - which I understand. I enjoyed my morning walks to the beach, which was a 15 min walk. The neighbors were friendly. The property management was attentive to my concerns regarding checking in and out. I definitely would return with my family!

The house was great. Close to the beach. The shuttle was very convenient for dropping us off right at the beach as there wasn’t much parking available close by. Everything met our expectations besides the community pool not being open at all during our stay which our parents were looking forward to using as the ocean is too hard for them to get into due to their age and our 1 1/2 year old would have preferred the pool, but we weren’t aware it would not be open all week. The pool at the beach was always too packed to use. Other than that, we loved this place and would def come back!!

This was perfect for our family of 12! Nice location, we went to the beach every day! This house had everything we needed to cook and wash clothes the only thing we needed was a golf cart! To get to the beach. Loved our stay!

We got to spend plenty of time in the house due to wether but there was so much room and it’s a beautiful place. Everything you can imagine was there from soap, shampoo, laundry soap, and even spices to cook with. Will definitely go back.

Incredible property and perfect location to go anywhere from Pensacola to Orange Beach and Foley. Would for sure stay here again!

Property is located close to all activities around Perdido Key. Great bike distance to the beach, great pool and workout room, very quit neighborhood. I would recommend decreasing the number of vehicles you bring, there is only space for 3 and you CAN NOT PARK on the street or Barney Phife comes looking for you.

Property was great, and as advertised. Circumstantial things are the only downside. 1 mile walk to beach. Shuttle available but wasn't running consistently. No number to call and get a live human to get picked up. Minimal public beach parking, minimal parking at beach club. Beach club restaurant closed Monday- Wednesday. 1/3 mile walk to pool, was parking available at pool consistently.

Just a couple of things that need attention...wifi--if you're working from home, which most of us are these days, the wifi did not always want to cooperate, even with a booster, especially if two people were working at the same time. Once again, the property manager was on it and tried diligently to get us better service. The only other "issue" we had was with the carpeting. It needs a deep shampooing, or perhaps it just needs to be replaced but certainly not enough of a concern to make us unhappy. The location and facilities are excellent. Shuttle service is great and the pool, beach club and golf course couldn't be better. We look forward to renting again next year!
