I absolutely loved this place. Beautiful location. We would definitely stay there again. Two things I would highlight. As clearly stated on the listing, there is no air conditioning. I’m usually hot, my wife is usually cold. There were times we were both still a little hot with the windows open and the fans on, but not so much that we wouldn’t stay. Second, the washer/dryer isn’t in the unit, it is in a communal space with the outside shower. Knowing this, the way it’s listed makes sense, but that’s not how I read it/what I expected. We never had to wait to use them and it wouldn’t keep us from staying here, but I thought I’d include it so it was clear. Again, we loved it!!

What a location!!! We loved it so much will hopefully make it a family tradition. House is super comfortable and clean. Might be time to update some of the kitchenware but had everything we needed. Outdoor shower was a hit with the whole family.

This was probably our 7th time at one of the cottages here on this property. We love the location. We love the view. We love being in a place that is true Hawaiian style. We will be back for #8 and then again. (If the PM is reading this a larger coffee maker would be great as well as a full length mirror in the master.)

This downstairs unit is old but functioning and the location is excellent. You are ON the Hanalei bay beach and can see the waves breaking from inside the unit and from the lovely covered patio. Roll out of bed and take a nice walk on the beach or paddle out to surf on many of the different breaks around the bay. A lovely 15 min walk to "town" takes you to coffee and bakery in the morning and dinner at night. We were lucky to not have any tenants above us the entire week other than the first night. As expected, it is loud when they walk around above you. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed. Check-in instructions were sent out a full week early from an unexpected sender, so I missed that email, making arrival a little stressful, including a call to vrbo. There is an outdoor shower and laundry a few steps away. Overall, a great place to stay.

We had a wonderful time at this house. It's perfect for a family with 2 small kids - they were able to run to the beach in the morning in their pajamas! The house itself is very clean and comfortable.

This property may not be for everyone, but we loved it! It was quiet, close to downtown Hanalei and the beach out front is perfect for boogie boarding. You can also walk the entire length of Hanalei Bay. The property had all the necessary things for a great stay, beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrella and beach towels. With not much ambient light, the stars at night were amazing! The only reason I gave it a 4 overall rating is that it is a little dated, but for those who just want to kick back and relax, this is the perfect place!

Enjoyed our stay in Hanalei. Beautiful lawn area and of course the beach was lovely. The property was very clean and efficient. We rented some bikes and took nice rides around the area and to town!

We had a great, relaxing vacation in Kauai. The home has all the essentials we needed for cooking meals. The owner was extremely quick to respond to a burnt out light bulb request and we had a new bulb within a few hours. Everything was very clean when we arrived and the location has beautiful grounds with easy access to the beach / Hanalei Bay.

We adored our stay here! With active kids, it couldn’t be better. We came and went to the beach as much as we wanted, and also used the huge, wide open yard a ton. Comfortable beds also. The house has everything you need! We will be back!

The location of the property is unsurpassable - steps to the beach, plenty of space to play, close to town and farmer's markets and other beaches. The house was well furnished and even without AC the breeze through the windows kept us cool at night. The lanai was the perfect place for meals and relaxing with a book. The yard was wonderful for playing soccer or stargazing at night.

Great Location, Could you some updating of interior
The property is older and could use a refurbishing. Tiles in the bathroom could be replaced. You need to know that there is no air conditioning which is quite common on Hanalei, but I would prefer to have some. There are plenty of fans though, and windows the open easily. The location is great with an easy walk across the yard to the beach. It is a large lot with 3 other houses on it, so if they are filled with a lot of people your privacy is not ideal. Overall, if location is most important this will work, but it is not luxurious.

Wonderful home!
We had an amazing time at Suzanne’s Hanalei home! It’s proximity to the beach and the main st was just perfect for our family of 4. We can’t wait to book our next visit!

Perfect Balance of fun and relaxation!
This property was perfect for us. Clean and simple on the inside, and had everything we needed to cook at home when we didn't feel like going out. Beds were comfy, lawn was great for playing, beach was right there. We had bikes and surfboards delivered to the house. One of the best family vacations we've ever had!

Word’s can’t really describe our wonderful time. What a beautiful spot in an amazing location. This was our second time to this specific location previously staying in a stand alone bungalow right next door. Same owner and same quality experience. The only thing that could have been better would have been to book more time here. Mahalo.

Fantastic location!
Lovely ocean view from the house and a very short lawn stroll to the uncrowded beach. Simple house with all you need. We were a couple and 2 single young adults. Would be even better with a second bathroom, but the house worked well for us. Love that it’s just an easy bike ride to town for shops and restaurants. We will be back :)

Lovely getaway
This property was exactly as advertised - which means perfect for us. It's not fancy or posh, but it's perfect for a beach house: clean, all the amenities, a short walk to the beach, and the sound of the waves lulling you to sleep. All the communications with the property manager were prompt and friendly. They even sent someone over to fix the safe when we noticed a problem with it. My boys (surfers) loved this place too - and I hope we may all be able to return soon.

We loved staying here! Great views to Hanalei Bay. We could sit and watch the waves from the lanai and inside the place. Great location to town, very clean place. We would love to come back again in the future!

Great Location In Hanalei
We enjoyed a relaxing week in this property. It was right on the water. With a nice grass area in front. We used the charcoal bbq. The kids played with the beach toys on the side of the house. We also played board games and watched TV.

We loved how close to town the house was. The beach just a short stroll across the beautiful lawn. The beach is gorgeous and wasn’t crowed. At the airport and am already planning our next trip back to the green north shore.

Perfection
Went for a family vacation with my kids and had a magical time. Hanalei is a magical place and this rental gave me the nostalgic experience of what beach rentals were like in my day. House is perfectly situated right on the beach but with an amazing lawn in between to enjoy yard games and a little privacy. Close to town and east to get everywhere. Truly a special place, I can’t recommend strong enough.

Unbeatable location
The location alone makes this place worth it - you're right on the beach, walking distance or a 2-min drive to the commercial strip in Hanalei. Plus it's stocked it with everything you need for the beach! The hosts are also very communicative and helpful if you have any issues at all.

Cleanest property ever/best location
The location is superb! I suspected that would be the case from the pictures, but the reality did not disappoint. What I didn’t expect is that it would be so sparkling clean! We had a great time and everything was beyond expectations.

Hanalei Bay Heaven
This is a very comfortable property and perfect for the beach lifestyle. The hosts have chairs, beach towels and boogie boards to use. The outside shower and laundry center makes it easy to keep everything sand-free. We rented surfboards, kept them right at the house, and could walk out for a swim or surf whenever we wanted! We were grateful to stay at this home. Mahalo

Perfect getaway!
What a fun spot to spend our much-needed family getaway! We have 2 teenage boys, and we all loved the beach being just across the lawn, playing catch on the grass, and just hanging on our porch. The staff was also incredibly helpful during these times of shifting schedules and requirements!

Location Location Location
We're surfers and have been all over the world staying at surf resorts and chasing that magical spot. I've fantasized for years about finding a spot where our whole family can have fun in the ocean together. Somewhere the kids feel comfortable playing enjoying the waves and where my husband and I can surf. We staying in the summer when Hanalei is small and it was magical! It's the PERFECT spot for a family surf holiday. All 3 kids caught their first waves by themselves! Views are breathtaking, beach is huge and uncrowded.
