The house accommodates an extended family comfortably. We appreciated having bikes and a stroller for the wide age range, as well as having two golf carts

We had the most amazing time celebrating my moms 80th birthday at BHI. I highly recommend this property if you are considering a vacation on the island. Owners are so helpful with the process. We look forward to going back next year!

Perfect weekend!

We visited this beautiful home at the end of September 2022. The house was clean, well stocked, and accommodated two families very well. 4 adults and 5 children (ages 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) and we both agree we would visit this home again in a heartbeat. The guest house gave each family their own spaces and served well for naps and noise. 2 Pack n Plays, a high chair, some art supplies & stuffed animals. Ample yard for kiddos to explore and run around. Bikes, stroller, beach toys, chairs... everything we could need. We had trouble finding a twin size sheet for the trundle bed and the owners were quick to provide what we needed. We were easily able to put blackout shades on the windows for the kiddos and had no problems finding what we needed in the kitchen (cooking for 9 every day is no easy feat without a well stocked kitchen). I would suggest bringing some age appropriate toys with you in case you are spending some time indoors. The weather was a little cool/rainy bc of an incoming storm and we found our range of children needed a little more to occupy them than what was provided by the home (our fault as we were trying to minimize the amount we brought over with us). Our visit was cut short by a hurricane and a ferry closure and the owners were incredibly responsive and accommodating when we decided to leave early so we wouldn't be stranded on the island during the storm. We have already discussed our plans to return in 2023. Well done!

This house was absolutely perfect for four couples. We all had plenty of space to spread out and hang together or separate. The yard games were great and the driveway made a perfect location for afternoon competition! The screen porch with comfy couch was my favorite place for coffee in the morning and wine in the evening!

My family (plus my sister’s family and my parents) rented this lovely home for the weekend of my nephew’s wedding. The home’s location was in close proximity to the chapel and the market (plus places to eat on the island). I feel like where ever we needed to go was just a short golf cart ride (less than 5 minutes!). Home was clean when we arrived and the check-in and check-out process was smooth. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Coastal Haven is a beautiful cottage with ample space to gather and get away. It has everything you might need for a relaxing stay. The decor is warm, clean and inviting. You feel as though the host/hostess has thought of everything to make you feel welcome. We were on BHI for a family wedding and my extended family visited us often and remarked on what an incredible house it is and what great space.

The experience was great. The house was recently updated and everything was very nice. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year.

Great Central location in quite neighborhood. Property is well equipped with everything you need for the beach, small children and cooking.

Great home for family vacation. The only reservation I have was that while it slept 12 there were only two master suites and a loft that slept 3 which made it somewhat tight for the 11 of us.

We are so grateful to have stayed at this beautiful home owned by such a gracious family! We had a diverse bunch: 8 adults, 2 teens, and and 2 little ones (1yo & 3yo). The layout of the house worked out great for this type of group. Early risers were able to stay in the main house with the little ones, and later sleepers were able to get their rest in the guest house. We SO appreciated all of the kids items provided -- pack & play, high chair, kids dishes & utensils, games, toys, jogging stroller, etc. Traveling with little ones requires a lot of packing, but the accommodation of this home made it so much simpler! Such a huge plus for us. The location of this house was great -- a short ride to beaches, the pool, shops, etc. Located in a nice quiet circle. The house itself is beautifully decorated and FULLY stocked. Honestly the most fully stocked rental we have ever stayed in. Again, much appreciated when having to bring less over on the ferry! Finally, the owners are truly delightful and clearly care genuinely about guests having a positive experience. Kevin was extremely quick to reply with every question and gave extensive detail on anything and everything we inquired about. So thoughtful! THANK YOU for a wonderful, memorable week with family!

Kevin was very easy to work with and the location is great close to the marina and the market. If we only had one complaint it would be we had 9 people with only 2 four seater golf carts making transporting everyone tricky at times.

Wonderful experience!

You need only bring food, drinks, a book,your bathing suit and a pair of sneakers. Location on the island is in the wooded shady space which was magical and was only a small cart or bicycle ride to the beaches, lighthouse, the market/shops and the pool. Fantastic trip! All nine of us really loved this house!

We have been to BHI a number of times and stayed a variety of properties. This house was, hands down, the best we've ever booked. The property itself is perfectly located a mile from the marina, a mile from the market, and 3 miles from the BHI conservancy. The interior is gorgeous, with top of the line appliances, and is stocked with all the essentials that you would need (condiments, paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper, tissues, spices, a huge assortment of pots/pans, two coffee makers (one drip and one K-cups) and filters), and would normally have to either buy on the island or bring with you on the ferry. Little touches like having USB chargers conveniently located on the nightstands, travel size soaps, towels (bath and beach) in large numbers, lots of plates/cups/utensils, games/dvds for the kids (and parents), chairs set up around the exterior of the house and the screened in wrap-around porch all add to the feel of "home" and allow you to relax completely. The living room is located on the second floor of the main house and has wall-to-wall windows circling the entirety of the upper level, giving you (as one person in our party described it) the feeling of being in an "ultra luxury tree house". Gorgeous landscaping and canopied shade throughout the property help make this property amazing. The kids were thrilled to find bikes, boogie boards, and sand toys available for use. The two golf carts worked beautifully, are easy to operate, and easy to charge. Bottom line - I cannot say enough good things about both the house and the owners of this property. Communication was prompt and the owners were ready and willing to help in any way they could to make our stay even better. This is the house we will stay at every trip to BHI from now on.
