Beautiful and comfortable room and garden. Very chill an quiet location. Nice hosts and tasty breakfast with home made marmelades to try.

Very welcoming host - nice room with wonderful shower. We are considering a long stay next time to explore the area.

We stayed here on our way home from Spain in December. We were travelling with our dog and there was no extra charge for her and she was welcomed. Varzay is just a little village with few facilities but the place we stayed was very really lovely. The hosts were very welcoming and pleasant. The accommodation was in an annexe to the owners own home, it was very welcoming, with a beautiful garden ,even in December. The accommodation was charming in an old beautifully renovated house, it was very tastefully furnished and decorated. We had a bedroom which had a comfortable king size bed and an very large bathroom. The bathroom was beautiful with an enormous shower cubicle, roll top bath and twin washbasins. Towels were provided and there was a hairdryer. There was a TV and Wifi was quite good speed. We had access to a small kitchen area next to the bedroom used also by our hosts, with a guest fridge, microwave and a single ring plug in hob. Crockery and kitchenware was available. Unfortunately there wasn’t a toaster. You could have made a basic meal in the kitchen. In the bathroom there was a kettle and a pod coffee machine with coffee and hot chocolate pods. We chose to eat out for our evening meal in the nearest main town Saintes which was about 8km away, it seemed to have a good selection of Restaurants and facilities. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was eaten in the hosts kitchen, we had orange juice, croissants, bread with the hosts homemade jams, ham, cheese and yogurts were available too. We mentioned we liked eggs for breakfast which he kindly made for us. Car parking on the house driveway was available and secure. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Host was so helpful. We had problems with our car and he phoned a garage for us. The room was immaculate. We couldn't fault a thing. Very dog friendly. Comfy bed. Parking . Lovely breakfast. Huge bathroom. Nice garden. Loved it. Thanks for everything

This is an exceptional property. The decor is wonderful and the facilities - and host - are first class.

The host was friendly and spoke English to us as my french is poor! The location was good for us and the accommodation matched our expectations. The addition of the fan was good as the weather was exceptionally hot. We were made very welcome.

I have a gluten allergy and breakfast was wonderful for my husband but it is always difficult to cater for me. I had brought gluten free bread to have with the delicious home made jam!

Perfect location with a secure garden as we were travelling with a dog. Access to microwave and fridge so we could self cater in the evening. Delicious breakfast with homemade jams. Very friendly host who was very helpful.

Very cute and well decorated duplex bungalow. An amazing bathroom with great bathtub and all amenities. Very private has it has its own entrance and patio. Beautiful gardens and friendly owners. Very good breakfast with fresh fruits and homemade jam. Really good value.

This is a well designed and very comfortable guest suite. Perfectly clean and well situated. Huge bonus is their friendliness to well behaved pets

Everything was perfect but I would have appreciated a later breakfast and check out.
