Sunshine Cottage was perfect for a trip with our two dogs. The cottage was fresh and clean and the large garden was 100% secure. Location was great with a short walk to the beach or lovely countryside. Local shops, takeaways and dog friendly bars and restaurants plus the new North Sea Observatory made for a perfect weekend. Will definitely book again.

My only criticism would be that it didn’t say anywhere that we would have to pay for electricity separately. Due to Covid we were asked to take our own bedding, including duvets. This was a huge problem for us as we didn’t have enough space in the car to fit three duvets / pillows in. (There was no price reduction for this either). The advert says tea/ coffee etc provided so we didn’t take any with us, but only two tea bags were provided.

After a five hour drive to the address and no reply to e mails or phone calls to the owner, we were told by Owners Direct after desperately phoning them , that the address was 1 Beach Avenue ! After 45 mins up and down beech Avenue and asking a resident we realised there wasn’t A number 1 Beach Avenue ! We contacted Owners Direct who are a London based company and they talked to us like we was stupid ! To cut a very long and heated story short the CORRECT address was 5 Tyler’s Close 😡😡😡 We were extremely desperate as we were also trying to contact the owner Carl Axon (a nice and helpful man) for address and key code to enter property. This should have been supplied before hand. Apparently he works over seas ! I recommend IF you book this lovely peaceful clean property make sure you get ALL the information and Key code weeks before your booking date ! The Owners Direct company where bloody hopeless ! Deal with the owner direct if you can reach him ? Carl was very confused about the wrong address we had been given and also confused ! It didn’t start the holiday break very well at all.The property is very nice , but the picture of the house is outdated ( blue garage door is now white) my Top two Tips is to turn OFF the heating boiler switch (in the kitchen) in the night because you won’t get any sleep due to the noise of the boiler rumbling all bloody night ! And to control the hot water by the boost dial ! Don’t rely on the hot water timer clock ! Shower is over the bath (not in a cubicle as In description, But with all the above the house is nice,local to the shops and beach’s !

We were not given a code for the key safe and had no way of accessing the key? Luckily my wife guessed the code by shear luck. We eventually received a response from the owner at 8.20pm a whole 5 hours after emailing him? The house was nice, very very cold and some of the furnishings were dirty and need of a clean. It was a lovely bungalow with a good garden space. Beds were a bit creaky and the hot water was hit and miss. But saying all the above we did enjoy our stay and made it a good week. Have emailed the owner with response ? Wouldn’t let the review put you off it’s a lovely area and the property was in good order with cooking and washing facilities.

We had a great holiday and had everything we needed - the kitchen was very well equipped with loads of pans, dishes, glasses etc. The lounge was perfect for relaxing at the end of a busy day, the sofas were very comfortable and a good size TV and had excellent internet service, which is a real bonus Everything is clean and the bed very comfortable and the linen felt fresh and new, lovely! The location is perfect, only a couple of minutes away from the beach and village centre. We especially liked Chapel Point Beach and its cafe where we had breakfast every morning before taking the dogs on the beach. Truly amazing and can't wait to go back there! Very homely feel to the house. Comfortably sleeps 5 people without feeling like your all on top of each other. Lovely big garden for the dogs to run around and it is pet friendly as our dogs would find a way out. Overall a lovely holiday for all the family and we would definitely be booking again :-)

Delivered everything that was promised.Delightful cottage 7 mins walk from the sea.child and pet friendly.Spotlessly clean with all of the home comforts needed for a relaxing stay.FANTASTIC correspondence from owner who provided clear instructions of location and local amenities.Topping up electric was simple and made sense.Would highly recomend this holiday cottage

The overall impression of the cottage was good that's why I gave four stars. But here comes the problems.First of all the electricity was by key meter which did not have any electricity on it so straight away had to top up the key meter.Then had the gardener knocking on the door to clear out wood in the garage then again next door knocking on the door to water the plants.Then of Saturday of our first week come in while we were out to cut the grass (oh yes using the electric we paid for his lawn mower). Even all that decided to book another week on September 9th paid the deposit and owner confirmed my booking then three days later email to say that his wife had double booked so those dates not available anymore. Well, surprise surprise on the owner Carl Facebook page it said he is single. So where is the wife. Having all this going on while i was on a supposed relaxing holiday for myself and my 75year old mother for two weeks made a bad taste in our mouths and by Saturday night of the first week decided to leave and come home. If the gardener wants to cut the grass this can be done between the change over 10-4 There was notes in the property listing do this and dont do,s . Did not feel like a holiday more like running someone property for them. I would not book again or use Owners Direct as if there is any problems Owners Direct do not take any responsibility but charge a fee from you the traveller and a fee from the owner.So any problems have to be dealt with the owner direct. I did get my refund back for September but as i have mentioned all of this blighted our holiday. So, therefore, will not book again. And for note, the pond filter was run on the electricity that your pay for would not have minded but there were not fish in it as the gardener told us a heron had eaten them.

Ticked all the boxes, exceptionally clean and well equipped. Garden ideal for dog, really safe and secure. We would definitely recommend it and the neighbours are lovely

Lovely cottage - well equipped, very very clean, and welcoming. Beautiful, large, fully enclosed garden - very dog friendly! Very close to all amenities, but in a quiet residential area. Thank you so much for letting Mum and I stay with our dogs. Will definitely be returning later this year, and next spring also!!

Lovely cottage, beautiful garden, very dog friendly, nice area. We really have got no negative comments to make, and the accommodation was really clean! One of, if not, the cleanest we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in several.

This was the first time my husband and I have used owners direct and we found this lovely pet friendly cottage perfect for our needs, and perfect it was. We were amazed at the size of the garden, which is actually 4 times larger than our own, so you can imagine how our 2 border collies Felt! They absolutely loved it and being so close to the beach and shops, not to mention, just 10 minutes from Skegness.. We were in our element, so much so we have now booked for next year. It was clean, in fact Superb in everyway, can't wait to return next summer. Thank you

Beautiful, clean accommodation. Stunning garden! Set in a lovely, quiet location but not too far from the amenities. Just a bus ride to Ingoldmells and Skegness. Would highly recommend.

We found the property to be very poor in the amount of cleanliness. The cupboard and drawers in the kitchen need a thorough clean, the microwave and oven were both filthy. There was cob webs in every room. The two piece suite in the living room is filthy and the cushions did'nt even fit properly so totally uncomfortable. Non of the curtains are hung properly with hooks missing and could'nt be pulled properly. The beds were overused and had mattress toppers but were really uncomfortable being lumpy and the sheets had hairs on them!. The upstairs bathroom smelt absolutely foul at night for some reason. Maybe something to do with the cupboard housing the water tank which came on at night. And the bathroom downstairs had a couple of weeds growing up the side of the bath. Just to make things even worse somebody came into the back garden and cut the lawn when we was out one day. There was notes to ask us to put the bins in and out for the dustmen. Some body also put these out when we was out one day. And we was expected to top the electric up also. After paying what we think is a quite high price for this type of property and time of year i think this is a damn cheek. We was not sent the address so we had to contact the owner on the day of our holiday. So all in all not a very enjoyable holiday holiday. To be totally honest a very big disappointment. We booked fairly late looking for a week by the sea and was really impressed with our property find. After booking the info pack sent via e-mail was brilliant telling you all aspects of the holiday and was very useful. The cottage itself was very spacious and very much like a home from home with brilliant large rear garden with a fenced of pond and loads of seating for outside dining, inside you couldn't ask for more well equipped kitchen comfy sofas in the lounge and a great tv for those comfy nights in. Its location was just tucked away off the main street so quiet but only a few minutes walk down into the village with its small amount of shops and food outlets with the expansive beach just a few hundreds yards further on. A short drive too to the bigger resorts of Skegness / Ingoldmells and Sutton on Sea / Mablethorpe to the north all worth a visit too. All in all a great week and a great property which we wouldn't hesitate to stay in again when next visiting the area.

This was a very last minute booking, literally the day before the holiday. The price seemed very fair , we had never been to this part of the country so it was something new, but mainly it was the pets made welcome that drew our attention. We have two older rescue greyhounds and because one of them frets if left it has prevented us going away in recent years. This holiday home was perfect and exceeded our expectations. With or without pets this property is really lovely , clean and homely. It has everything you could need. The well tended large garden is a privilege to enjoy and sitting by the beautiful pond with the sound of the water watching the fish a perfect place to lose yourself. If you have children or pets be assured that the gardens are completely enclosed as is the fish pond. But ... You dont go on holiday just to sit in the house when you are surrounded by literally miles and miles of sand and sea just ten minutes walk away. The locals are very friendly and everything on the doorstep including a very good fish and chip shop if you fancy a night off from cooking. If you fancy every night off then there is a choice of so many restaurants and pubs . This is a place to escape and breathe and had we been here for longer we would no doubt have explored the area but its been a wonderful few days just simply doing nothing. We had a lovely stay in Sunshine Cottage. It was ideal for us with two dogs. The cottage had everything we needed aswell as a large secure garden. It was very clean and well equipped. It's in an ideal, quiet location but within walking distance of the beach and all the attractions of a seaside holiday. We had good weather, a good seaside resort that is very dog friendly and a great holiday home. We really enjoyed it and would recommend it to friends and family.

We had a lovely stay with our dog. Everything was provided including milk and flowers. Fantastic garden which our dog loved. Quiet location with amenities and beach close by.

Absolutely lovely cottage a real home from home highly recommend specially if you have dogs my dogs loved the big well kept garden,weather was terrible but it was a pleasure to stay in at night as you have everything you need and more in this lovely home,the area is beautiful with plenty of nice places to visit,highly recommended we will definitely book again...Thankyou Carl for sharing your lovely home with us 😊
