We chose Villa Merlata for our 2 week family vacation because it had all the features and location we were looking for. Our six adults and two 10-year-old twin boys required 4 bedrooms and baths, a swimming pool and convening tables for all of us for meals together and for playing family dominos. With three eight-seated tables in different locations, it was perfect, no matter the weather. We found ourselves relaxing and talking in the porch lounge area every morning and evening. The kitchen was well stocked with appropriate pots and tableware, although we found the need for and contributed a larger coffee maker. We ate all but 10 meals at the villa, choosing local restaurants both for some lunches and some dinners. The supermarket is only 10 minutes away by car, which is a necessity for this villa. A highlight was Anna making pizza for us one night and a surprise 25th anniversary dinner on another night that she made for us. The two refrigerators were useful, and the security system was easy to operate. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms small but adequate. A/C in all the rooms was a necessity and worked well. Screens on all the windows. Giovanni was excellent and available to check us in and out according to our flight schedules. He was very helpful in suggesting restaurants and answering all our questions. Pasquale and his brother were attentive via WhatsApp and great hosts. The area is perfect for touring with 30 - 60-minute drives to key cities and attractions.

Two weeks of Italian bliss in Villa Merlata with family. Plenty of room to spread out, & in the August heat the pool was heavenly. Nicely appointed & a great location for day trips to local towns & beaches. The property manager was very helpful & responsive.

The villa is just as presented: stylish, well-equipped, sitting elegantly in its own large, lush garden. It all has a thoughtful, designer feel to it. Lovely pool, terrace, barbeque, pizza oven, two dining terraces create the perfect setting for outdoor summer living. Inside there are new en-suites, a good kitchen, hotel-standard bedrooms. Electric gates and burglar alarm, too. Giovanni was easy to liaise with checking in and helpful generally. There was absolutely nothing to fault.

Villa Merlata is exactly as described. We had a group of 4 women and we each had our own bedroom and bathroom. Beautiful property with stunning outdoor areas and pool. We enjoyed an on-site pizza evening which was so much fun and the pizza was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this property

Very nice Villa with all comforts.

I highly recommend this property for a stay in pulglia Italy. The property was gorgeous , clean and had great amenities. In addition it is very well located - close to beaches, shopping and a great base for exploring southern Italy. Giovanni was terrific and very responsive throughout our stay. We were 7 people and there was plenty of space inside and outside for everyone. Great property in a beautiful setting !
