We had a wonderful stay at Tharah, enjoying the multiple indoor and outdoor gathering spaces. It was quiet and scenic. The kitchen was well equipped. We appreciated the bubbly left for us to enjoy. It is a fantastic house for a large group.

Tharah met and exceeded our expectations for our Family Reunion for 16 guests (and 2 dogs) in Feb, 2023. The property was missing nothing to make the stay thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining for guests ranging from 18 to 87! The ability to self-cater with every confidence that there were all the amenities to enable us to do so made for a hugely successful time. We utilized every resource while there..... the pool, the games room, the pizza oven, the BBQ, the completely equipped kitchen, local wineries, and other amenities. We practically lived outdoors under the covered patio which lent itself perfectly to hot summer days. The home was spotlessly clean and well serviced prior to our arrival. Thank you to the managers of this property! A few tiny attention to details that are just routine wear and tear we have made note of, but nothing of any importance. Highly recommend this property!!

This was one of the best accommodations we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. It allowed our family to stay & play together. What we loved a lot was the dining table that allowed our entire family to sit down together for the first time ever. I couldn't recommend Tharah House enough it has everything you could want or need.

Tharah is fantastic for larger groups and the location is simply breathtaking. The house was well kept, although a few things needing some TLC. Outdoor area could use a good clean but was great to have. A few lights wouldn’t work inside however other than that everything was fantastic. Will certainly use Tharah again!

We had the best time with our family at "Tharah". The house has spacious living areas , comfortable lounges and decorated beautifully. The kitchen has 2 big fridges, a 4 oven stove and all the cooking equipment needed to cook meals for a large group.The large 22 seat dining table accommodated our family . A door leads from this area to a spacious covered entertaining area which has a long table and seating, bbq, wood fired pizza oven and a gas heater which makes it cosy even when the temperature is low. Just off this area is the fenced swimming pool [was too cold for a dip} but in warmer weather would be wonderful. The beds were very comfy and nice linen .The games shed is a great amenity, with table tennis, pool table[ in good condition] lounges , fridge etc.. Overall a perfect house to enjoy ones family or friends,[ we all felt it was our new home!] Owner John and Hunter Valley Stays are a very welcoming , helpful and caring team..thank you from all of us.

The house was spacious and accommodated our group quiet comfortably. Wonderful kitchen. House overall was acceptable and the grounds were great. - Windows, window sills and fly screen need a thorough clean. Build up of dust and dirt - outside entertaining area needs a thorough clean. - exposed nails on kids play equipment. - lounges and bed bases are heavily stained - exhaust fans in bathrooms were really clogged and dirty - heating in master bedroom(s) area didn’t work well. - BBQ worked but we couldn’t cook off it. - outside heater didn’t work unless we stood there holding the button on - found spiders in children bed - nowhere the hang clothes, only a few hooks in each room. - house was clean on the surface but overall pretty grubby. For the price to stay at this property, we were disappointed.

This house was perfect for our large group stay. The facilities were excellent, and covered all bases. Plenty of beds, a very large kitchen and the games room which provided lots of entertainment. The house was clean and the location was great, with beautiful views. Properties that can accommodate such a large group are hard to find and we would highly recommend this one.

House was amazing with plenty of living areas and outdoor areas so everyone had their own space but we were altogether. Loved the big dining table so that we could all eat together and when cooking still be able to chat to the group as we relaxed!

Lovely house! Great decor and felt very at home.Some feedback from my colleagues:Need a spanner for gas on the BBQ , so not very user friendly.Kitchen was really well equipped! Great space with huge table for 20! Felt like the house hadn’t been cleaned from previous tenants. Beer bottle tops throughout garden and property. Floors in kitchen area were dirty.Piano needs to be tuned haha!Beds were really comfy and bathrooms were nice.Loved the games room! Would definitely come back! Thank you!

We rented the house for our family wedding.. it was magnificent.. Each guest had a beautiful comfortable room to stay in for two nights. The home is vast and has plenty of room for a large group. The view is beyond beautiful.. stunning and so so relaxing. Everything you need is there, including a pool and fantastic games room.. The Pizza oven makes delish pizzas and the outdoor deck fabulous for dining alfresco. The indoor dining table is so large it comfortably fits the whole gang. It is so tastefully decorated that everyone was commenting on how ingenious the design was. Thank you Tharah .. you sure lived up to our expectations 😁�

What a great place for a family or group get together in a beautiful rural setting. We celebrated a family milestone with 9 adults and 9 children. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were plentiful and modern. The fact that we could sit all 18 around the magnificent dining table was great. We did the same outside as well. The pizza oven was well used. The games room was very popular with the children as was the bonfire facility. "Awesome" was the word used. The manager assisted with the retrieval of an item left behind. Great and friendly service. Would recommend this property to any large group.

Property was great except the bedrooms on the east wing had a bug problem. 3 of the rooms had little worms in them and spiders. Other than that the property was great

This is the 15th year this group has gone somewhere. Catering for all our needs takes quite a bit of planning.Tharah fulfilled all our requirements plus some. The play shed was enjoyed by the males ready to do battle over pool, table tennis and darts. The large kitchen and dining area allowed easy food preparation and the table allowed us all to be together. We were all impressed with the lovely decor and comfortable seating areas. We are deciding whether I need to search out alternate venues or we decide to make Tharah our annual escape.

Amazing property! Cannot fault it. Everyone had the best time. The games room was the best! Phenomenal! Also every dealing I had with Hunter Valley Stays reservations/customer service team was excellent. they made it so easy! Already keen to book again.

We were a large group of 20 celebrating a family milestone and the house was perfect. Plenty of bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, great communal areas......the dining table was perfect!!! The outside areas were great, again plenty of room for everyone. The pool and the games room were well used by young and old. Although we didn't use it much the lounge rooms were comfortable and although large still cosy, I think they would be very inviting in the cooler months. The best part was the attention to detail in the fit out....plenty of quality plates, cutlery, glasses etc. The bedding was luxurious and comfortable.....everything was fabulous!

We enjoyed every minute! The facilities that the house had to offer catered for all our needs. We came for a hens weekend and the bride had an absolutely amazing time as did everyone. We are already talking about coming back.

Tharah was the perfect place for our family 5 day get together. 18 all ages. The weather was extraordinarily hot but the air/con and the pool helped us survive very happily. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms- new and well appointed. A few more towel rails would be good. Fabulous kitchen and huge dining table and huge frig. Pool a few meters from house adjoining wide wooden veranda which has a huge table for outdoor meals. House feels new and is styled in French Provincial. Could go on but I’m sure it’s clear this beautiful big house set on acreage with wonderful Australian country landscape view fills the bill for a beautiful Hunter Valley stay. No cleaning equipment provided. Only outdoor broom. Also access to outdoor tap would be good. Thoroughly luxurious. Thankyou.

We celebrated our mother and grandmothers 80th Birthday over the October LWE. Tharah was able to accommodate all 21 of us very comfortably, including two pups and a bird in a cage. Very kind to allow our pets to come along. The shared spaces were perfect for us. We used the pizza oven and made our own pizzas and the dough! The Mountain View’s were beautiful. We had one special dinner at Bistro Molines which is down the road 700 metres and some of us walked there, whilst some drove. I would recommend Tharah for a special family gathering. We all had a fabulous time.
