Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in beautiful Praia da Luz. The property was very clean and well set up for a family stay, and even more spacious than the pictures show. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed using the pool at the Ocean Club and the stunning beach only a short walk away.

We can’t recommend this accommodation highly enough. From the first encounter with the owner to the actual day to day living in beautiful Luz.....all was perfect! The villa is spotless clean, has everything one could wish for and is located in the most charming of towns. You can go wrong in renting this perfect piece of paradise.

I recently stayed with my family in this luxury townhouse and was very impressed with the location, the villa size and furnishings which were all first-class. We stayed a month in this villa and will be booking again next year. As it was February, the pool was not open nor the tennis courts so I don't know whether this is a seasonal thing or not but it would have been nice to play a game of tennis. However, overall Ken (owner) and Marina (housekeeper) were very helpful with any queries we had.

We had an amazing time in Praia da Luz and Ken’s town house is amazing. The pictures are lovely but they don’t do the home justice. It is a lot bigger than expected and for a 3 generation family it was perfect. It had everything we needed and then some and the balcony off the lounge overlooking the sea was my favourite spot. The complex itself was quiet but still had a great atmosphere. We arrived after reception had closed at about 10:15pm but Ken had given us a number to contact the night receptionist and he was there waiting for us when we arrived. He checked us in and I asked him if there was anywhere we could get anything to eat. He recommended the pool pizza restaurant but as they were due to close he rang them to ask if they would do a take away for us. He then drove us to our accommodation, helped us unload our car, showed us around the house and then drove us to the pizza restaurant, (it is a few minutes walk but it was late) where we had 3 delicious pizzas waiting for us and we purchased wine and beer to go along with it. All the staff at the Ocean Club were very friendly and we would highly recommend the accommodation and the complex. Lovely holiday, thank you Ken 😀

We had the pleasure of spending 2 weeks with our four children age from 14-3. The villa is so spacious with a beautiful balcony perfect for breakfast looking over the sea, and the added benefit of a garden where you can sit and have a BBQ. Within 5-10 minutes you have an array of very good standard of restaurants, and a lovely beach. We had a car so spent out days exploring and would highly recommend anyone to do the same. We visited 11 outstanding beaches, all within 30 minutes of the villa. The pools are lovely, we visited on a few occasions at the end of a day. Ken is very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend this villa and give it 10/10.

The property lived up to all the previous reviews and we will definitely be rebooking when we return to Luz. The location was perfect for walking to the beach and into the village where there are some great restaurants, it’s also near a bus stop if you fancy popping into Lagos. Booking was easy and the staff at the Ocean Club were helpful and friendly they even drove with us to locate the property and see we got in safe and sound. It was great eating our breakfast on the large balcony with the lovely sea and mountain views. We miss it already. Thank you Ken

The owner Ken was a wonderful help. The condo was clean and beautiful. The area was wonderful and relaxing. The pool and club were also fantastic! Excellent location, a few minutes from the beach and grocery stores. Plenty of places to grab dinner and enjoy the views.Quick drive to many of the beautiful beaches in the Algarve.

We had a most enjoyable stay at Ken’s lovely house in Luz. The property was exceptionally clean and the property manager and cleaning lady were a delight to deal with over our month’s stay. Ken was very pleasant to deal with and the property was as expected and as described. The house is large and has almost everything one might need. There could be a few more dishes available, especially coffee cups. The lack of a dishwasher was only noticed for the first few days until we settled in for the authentic Portuguese experience of washing dishes by hand. The local grocery store is wonderful. Great selection of meat and cheese and fruit and vegetables, as well as a good bakery. The local restaurants are excellent. Most everything you need is located in the town but the larger town of Lagos is only a few minutes away by car and absolutely everything is available there. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we plan a return visit next year!

Had a fabulous holiday staying in this villa. Loved the resort itself - narrow cobbled streets with traditional white buildings. Plenty of good restaurants. The villa itself was a pleasure to stay in. Attractive decor, clean, well maintained inside and out. Loved the beautiful shrubs and trees in the garden. The staff at the Ocean club were very helpful and friendly. Pools were delightful - large with nice sunbathing areas. Owner Ken very helpful with booking, car hire info and key collection late at night. Friendly member of staff from Ocean Club met us and drove us and our bags right to the door of the villa (even though it was not far, it meant we didn't wake everyone up nearby trundling our cases along)! Hope it won't be too long before we book again. Also, highly recommend the dolphin watching trip from The Beach Hut on the beach. Highlight of the holiday seeing dozens of dolphins swimming alongside the boat!!!! Amazing.

We spent the most amazing 10 days in beautiful tranquil Luz and kens equally beautiful and tranquil villa. Spotless and with housekeeping visiting twice in the 10days was an extra bonus.Loads of space for us, 2 kids and granny.Comfortable and well equipped .We spent every evening dining on the beautiful balcony gazing at sea and stars.The boys aged 7 and 4yrs loved the choice of pools which are just around the corner. The beach is simply stunning and a very short walk from the villa. Ken was a pleasure to deal with and made everything so easy for organizing our trip .The only thing left to say is we'll be back next year 😃

Thanks Ken for letting us stay in your property. It was beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean and had all facilities required. My son said it had great internet. We were very lucky that we had great weather and enjoyed coffee on your balcony every morning with the views of the ocean. We never had a bad meal in any of the restaurants that you recommended, the food was exceptional and good value for money. We would love to return again very soon.

We have just returned from a fantastic week in Luz. This was not our first time in Luz but it was by far the best standard of accommodation we have had. We travelled with 3 adults and 2 under 3's and the property was large enough that we didn't all get in each other's way! The pictures do not give a true representation of the size and the outside space downstairs is amazing and safe for young children. The living space again is so comfortable and is like home from home (but better). Everything you could possibly need is in the property and it has a great location with ample parking. The owners were a delight to deal with throughout and all requests were responded to straight away and fulfilled such as cots and high chairs for the children. We would highly recommend this property and will hopefully be back.

An excellent property in a great location.....far enough away to be quiet but within easy walking distance to any part of the village, including supermarket, restaurants and the beautiful beach area.

We've just returned from an absolutely wonderful week in Praia da Luz and feel very sad to be home; our holiday just wasn't long enough! Our two boys (aged 13 and 10) loved the Luz Club pools, which we had almost completely to ourselves most of the time. They are HUGE and deep, and when they tired of the water spent much of their time playing pool and tennis (15 euros per hour). The beach is beautiful, and the steep walk up to the mysterious obelisk thingy before it gets to hot well worth the climb for a particularly good view of the area and the villa. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed - the washing machine was a godsend! We were also impressed with the town of Luz itself - plenty of places to eat and drink, although we really only tried Chicca's (fabulous food and hostess!), Clives (we splashed out on a shopping list of cocktails!) and Saffron (the best takeaway curry we've had in a long time!). We very much hope to return soon and can highly recommend the house and surrounding area.

We have just returned home from staying in this house, it was bright, clean and very spacious, I would recommend this property highly and can say you would not be disappointed. There are supermarkets close by and some great restaurants and bars, The Dolphin Restaurant is a must, nice people and great food. We used the Garden Club for our swimming pool during the day and the staff were great and the food was nice for a light lunch, I will be staying here again for sure. Thanks Ken

What a great set up for a totally relaxing family holiday. The accommodation was spotless, spacious and well maintained and had all the equipment necessary for eating in and fun days at the beach. It was cleaned regularly and beds changed weekly which was a bonus. It is a short walk to the pool and the beach and both were perfect. Luz is small but has a few nice restaurants and although we hired a car if we had only been there for a week we would not have bothered as the local amenities were spot on. Would definitely return and would recommend thanks ken.

Have just returned from Luz after staying in this lovely villa. Villa was very spacious and extremely comfortable. The house itself was like a home from home for us, tastefully decorated, and all the facilities you require for a comfortable stay were provided. The house was cleaned every 3rd day and the bedding was changed after a week, which was a bonus! The layout gives a large amount of inside as well as outside space to sunbathe and relax. The garden is also private when sunbathing. We loved the sea view and it was lovely to sit and eat our meals on the balcony. We were impressed with the table and chairs around the bbq area and had a couple of relaxing evenings in the garden area as well. Luz is a lovely quiet town. We have visited in previous years, but this was by far the most comfortable accomodation we had stayed in whilst there. We also had access to three swimming pools and (for an extra charge) tennis courts. These facilities were very popular with our 9 and 11 year olds. As there were other children using them, they had the opportunity to make friends. There are a variety of restaurants to try and we found many of them good value for money this year, due to the Euro's decline! Even in the half term holiday, Luz wasn't overcrowded. There are other places to visit if looking for other things to do, but my family was happy with the pools, beach and even watching CBBC if it got too hot for them! I would highly recommend this villa, and would also like to add that the owner dealt with all our enquiries (and in our case a last minute change of guest) promptly and professionally. We shall certainly return!

fantastic holiday home, perfectly sited within a lovely town. was great being able to walk easily to beach and enjoy loads of nice restaurants and bars close by. accomodation of a very high standard, we've stayed in many places where villa clearly kitted out for 'holidaymakers'. this was furnished and equipped as if it were own home - very impressive! provided an ideal base for our family holiday!

Fantastic location and excellent accommodation. Our two girls aged, 6 and 8 were kept occupied by the swimming pools and beach and also managed to make new friends which enabled my wife and I to relax. The location is ideal for family's with young children, upto secondary school age. The locals are very helpful and friendly. We will certainly be coming on holiday here again.

The property is furnished to a high standard and and is located in a quiet area, only a few minutes walk from the beach shops and restaurants. We cooked our own meals occasionally and the kitchen is very well equipped, if that is what you want to do. I have stayed at the property before, and would recommend it highly. The owners were most helpful, and made sure that the booking was done quickly, and that any questions were answered promptly. We had a great holiday, and will be sure to return in the future!

Fantastic villa - immaculate and perfectly placed in a quiet cul-de-sac 5 Minutes walk from the beach and 3 excellent Ocean Club pools. The resort offers a variety of watersports and excellent restaurants (The Dolphin - A Concha - Fortaleza were our favourites). Checkout the nearby beaches - well worth a visit (Quieter than Luz) Would recommend both the villa and the location, we had a great time!

We had a wonderful 14 days in Luz with our 2 boys and my parents. It is a very spacious house with a fantastic view over the sea from the terrace balcony. The terrace was large enough for the 6 of us to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner out in the warm sunshine. The house was tastefully furnished with comfortable beds and although it did lack a dishwasher it pretty much had everything else. The staff were very helpful and the cleaners always did a good job although it would have been nice if they came slightly more often than twice a week. The BBQ worked fine but would have been nice if it was slightly larger. Luz was wonderful and the quality of the food, especially seafood, in all the restaurants we visited was excellent as was the service. We particularly liked O Poco (on the cheaper end, about €15 each for dinner with wine) and Atlantico (more expensive) where they served the largest prawn any of us have ever seen! The beach was mainly sand, which some rocks to explore at one end, and child friendly. The waves were generally not too big for the boys and although the sea was nice and warm in the first week, it turned a bit cold towards the end of the second week. Although my Dad has some food intolerances, it was not a problem finding suitable foods in the supermarkets, which had a good selection of British was well as Portuguese foods. We enjoyed visiting Slide&Splash, Zoomarine and Lagos Zoo (the food at these places better than expected) and took a number of day trips to other beaches and towns along the coast. We would highly recommend visiting Luz and staying here and we hope to come back sometime in the future.

Just back from a fortnight in Praia da Luz and I would have no hesitation in booking right now for next year. As a resort goes its just the right size to get about on foot, beach, shops bars, restuarants etc... the use of the Ocean Village Clubs is excellent and the beach equally so. The apartment was kept spotless and equiped as you would want. The location, or more specifically the outlook from the terrace is one of the best you could find. The small drive to Lagos is also a plus if your looking for more a more vibrant and cosmopolitan day out. Try out Praia Don Ana for an amazing beach. Lagos Zoo also worth a morning out. Having holidayed in both Albufeira and Villamoura, this by far wins hands down... cheaper too!

Had a wonderful holiday here last year with our daughter, her husband and children. The villa was great, picture does not do it justice. Views from the terrace magnificent, accommodation very spacious and very well equipped. Very clean with a maid service every other day. Perfect place for a family holiday, beach and sea, ten minute walk away, much enjoyed by all. Swimming pools at the Ocean Club were also enjoyed as were the tennis courts. Eating out, plenty of choice but you need to book and we noticed an increase in prices from our previous visits to the resort.. Mr Nicholas very pleasant to deal with. Would definitely return and recommend to others.
