Good communications from the owners and their agents. Great to be welcomed on arrival by the property manager and brilliant welcome pack no matter what time of day you may arrive. We have stayed in Santa Barbara de Nexe many times so know it well and that Charneca would suite us. Casa Lucia actually outstripped our expectations. The perfect outside areas, great views, pool, shaded terraces, BBQ etc etc, inside the villa is extremely comfortable, spacious well equipped to a high standard and as sports fans we loved the access to Sky TV. Second holiday staying at this excellent villa. Modern, well equipped with excellent facilities . Updated since last visit also - bedrooms are spacious with plenty of wardrobe space. Living space is well furnished and the outside area and pool are stunning. Another garden space has been added with Hoopoe’s on the lawn every day. Tucked away in the hills and not overlooked with everything you need close by. Excellent holiday for the family, we shall return again!

We have just returned from an amazing family holiday in Casa Crow/Lucia. We spent 7 Days in this beautiful property. Our impression when we arrived was that pictures do not do justice of the real space and comfort offered by the house: It is huge!!!! We received a welcome pack which had all the essentials to get you started including excellent wine and local products. The house comes with EVERYTHING you will need. In special, the kitchen and BBQ. They are l fully and newly equipped. There is plenty of working surfaces, 2 ovens, 3 fridges and a great terrace to eat alfresco. As we traveled during the pandemic, the house provided some face masks, sanitizer and hand wash. The pool had a great size and the outdoor space provided ample opportunity for our party to enjoy different activities. Make sure you study the directions given by the property managers to arrive to the house as GPS systems can get a bit confused. We highly recommend this property ! Thank you Lucy and Richard!

Stayed at this lovely villa for 2 weeks during August/Sept 2019. The villa is perfect for a family holiday and was well equipped with all modern ammenities. The bedrooms were well furnished, bright, clean and of a good size. The kitchen was smart and modern with all you could possibly need and the bathrooms likewise. A similar story outside with a large pool (maintained regularly) and patio area with ample sunbeds (of good quality) and seating areas. There was also an upstairs area perfect for sundowners or a space to get away from kids and family! Any assistance required was smartly addressed by Richard the villa manager. A great stay in a great villa, we will be back!

we spent one week in this house near faro with our two families with 4 adults and our children. the house is well equipped, super clean. the pool and the garden are great. the location allows us to discover the algarve area in an easy way. I strongly recommend it

We had a fantastic time at this villa which was exactly as advertised and exactly what we needed for 3 generations aged 6 to 81. The place was absolutely spotless which was a huge relief after a previous holiday rental where cleanliness was not a priority! Many happy hours were spent by the pool and the two terraces - upstairs for sundown in particular! We know the area well and will definitely be back as could not find a single thing that was not perfect ! Thank you Lucy and Julia - see you again !

Nice spacy bathrooms and bed rooms. Fantastic kitchen and living room. Large swimming pool and a spacyous covered terrace. We spent all evenings at the roof terrace, with its nice view. We had a great time.

This is the second stay at Casa Lucia, the villa is so well equipped for the perfect villa holiday. The villa is very spacious and exceptionally clean. Bright new kitchen and also a new, very comfortable terrace for perfect evening entertaining to watch the sunset with a cool glass of wine. We have stayed in many villas but this one is by far the best we have stayed in. Thank you .

We spend one week in this beautiful villa. We were 2 families, 8 persons and everyone, kids and adults, enjoyed the stay very much. The villa has everything you need, big pool, wonderful 2 terrasses, perfect equipped new kitchen. Really enough space and a perfect view into the landscape.

Casa Crow is a wonderfully equipped and tranquil villa. There is plenty of space for two families, there was 6 of us but 8 could quite easily have stayed. Lucy and her team were a delight to deal with and the welcome pack was a nice touch and well appreciated. I would suggest a car is essential, although Uber is available and they are able to find it using location rather than address (just make sure you have it saved for the return trip) Any (very few and small) problems were dealt with very quickly and efficiently. The new kitchen is fantastic, lots of space, storage and well stocked. There are two fridges which really help, and save trips to the supermarket. (Continetel ~10mins, Apolonia ~15mins) Apolonia is recommended. There is also an outside fridge by the BBQ. Around the outskirts of Almancil, you will also find some fabulous restaurants. For some reason there were a lot of wasps (not normally an issue). We found keeping the outdoor space clean and using Citronella candles (in buckets) very effective. The pool (heated) was used day and night, really big and deep too. There is a wonderful roof terrace which we made good use of, the BBQ (Gas and Charcoal) is a great size, with plenty of seating and beds around the pool. The Table Tennis Table also got good use (might be worth bringing your own bats and balls) WiFi was quick and plenty of coverage. Lots and lots of TV Channels although we rarely had it on. A really good villa, which more than helped make it a great holiday. I'm sure we will return soon.

The villa is well appointed and comfortable. There is a large swimming pool and the poolside terrace has an abundance of seating. This, coupled with the outside barbecue area, makes the villa ideal for families. We found the rooftop terrace to be a delightful place to relax with a drink, to catch the last rays of sun each evening. The air conditioning was very much appreciated, particularly as the temperature around the pool reached 47 degrees during our stay!

The villa is outstanding with amenities to suit our party of 6 adults and 2 children of 3 generations.

We were looking for a villa that was inland, quiet, heated pool and lots of space for the kids. This villa didn't disappoint. The villa was huge, the pool/terrace area was lovely and we also enjoyed the roof terrace with the beautiful views. Villa had everything we required for our self catering holiday and was set up well for our baby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you

My wife and 2 children could not have had a better holiday. The villa is absolutely perfect both indoors and outdoors. It is only 20 minutes to Faro airport, 20 minutes to the beaches near Quinta Do Lago and Vale Do Lobo, and the local supermarket has everything you need. there are also some super restaurants very nearby, most notably Le Marquis (http://www.restaurant-le-marquis.com). The views are amazing, particularly from the incredible roof terrace (ideal for evening drinks), and the outdoor furniture is plentiful and luxurious. The owners also made sure that they were contactable if anything went wrong, not that anything did go wrong. All in all we couldn't have had a better two weeks and look forward to returning. Huge thanks to the owners for helping myself and my family have a wonderful holiday.

This villa is perfect if you are looking for beautiful scenery, quiet surroundings and a private getaway. Although it is only a 10 minute drive to Faro, the villa feels like it is hidden away in the countryside. Surrounded by vast landscape and mountains you have complete still and quiet as you play in the pool, explore the huge garden or just chill under the pergola. Facilities were excellent - the pool was heated (an extra £150 but worth it for the evening dip under the clearest, starry sky). There is also a huge TV inside for late night movies and a PS3 with around 25 games to choose from. The kitchen has everything you'd need (2 fridges - one for drinks one for food) and each of the four bedrooms are all huge. Would definitely stay again and will look into booking up for next year!

3 adults & 4 Kids (age 10, 8, 5 & 3) The villa exceeded all our expectations! This was the best place we've ever stayed in. From the moment we walked through the doors it had the wow factor. The pool was amazing, really big and we spent most of our time in it with the kids, just what we needed in the scorching summer sun! The villa had all the essentials and more, including a washing machine that proved essential with 4 Kids! The 2 fridge freezers were great, it meant we could separate food. The air con in the bedrooms proved essential in the summer heat and enabled us to get a good, cool nights sleep. The bathrooms were lovely, very luxurious, and with 4 in the villa we were spoilt for choice. The outside area was huge! Not only was there the pool area but also a big grassy area, ideal for the kids to have a kick of a football. There was a ping pong table and bbq also in the outside area... both proved useful especially the bbq. The security Gates at the front of the grounds meant we had peace of mind that the kids were safe and couldn't get out. The grounds are well looked after, we stayed for 11 nights and in that time the pool was cleaned twice and the grass was cut twice. Also the bed linen and towels were changed. The living room was spacious with plenty of seating. The TV was massive and the play station was a hit with our 10 year old. The Dvds and books which were provided were a nice touch. All in all the villa was amazing! We have made so many happy, fun filled.memories here that we will always cherish. We will definitely be returning! We a had a brilliant fortnight at Casa Crow. You can tell the owners use the villa regularly themselves, it is so well equipped. There are also some great luxuries like the portable Bose docking station. The villa is very spacious and even if there were eight of you in the villa, there would ample space. The highlight of the villa is outside space, the beautiful 12 metre pool, the fantastic covered verandah and plenty of good quality furniture. Then you also have the table tennis table. It was one our best holidays need I say more.

This house had everything you could possibly look for. The two outdoor spaces are extensive. The pool area was fantastic with the outdoor seating, cooking and eating areas. The garden area was a great luxury for the young children to be able to play safely. The indoor area is extremely comfortable and spacious. We had one spell of rain but this gave us a great excuse to light the open fire, watch a film ( house has complimentary wifi) and enjoy a bottle of wine ( part of our welcoming hamper). All the luxuries of home in a warmer climate. Julia and Richard were always available to deal with any query no matter how small. We will definitely be returning to this gem of a house.

We absolutely fell in love with this villa, if it is space you need, space you will get. We felt so home at this villa and was so impressed we have booked it again for 2 weeks next year. My 12 year old son was over the moon that it had a play station and asked if it could have an xbox in it next year lol. The outside is amazing and the photos on the site do not do it justice, The owners had purchased some new outdoor furniture before we arrived and it totally transformed the outside life, we spent most of our time lounging by the oversized pool enjoying the lovely views and the red hot sun, the terrace is an absolute sun trap and you couldn't ask for more, it has 4 or 5 different seating areas, depending if you want some shade or sit in the sun. This has to be my favourite villa so far and we have stayed in many villas in Portugal. I think it would be very difficult to find something that could top this for quality and price. The owners were very very accommodating, we stayed in another villa the week before we moved to this villa and the villa we were in was horrible , dirty and depressing , I phoned the owners of Villa Crowe and they let us move in early , so glad we did, wish we had actually stayed there the full two weeks. The name on the villa is "Casa Crow" & I can't crow loud enough about it. It's gives everything and more than whats listed. Top features 1. A fantastic outdoor area with great size pool, large terrace, quality furnishings for relaxing days & nights, dining, barbeque, good external lighting, all day sun, shade under the wonderful pagoda etc 2. Facilities were excellent, decent WiFi, Sat TV (Sky, Setanta etc etc), Playstation for kids, ipod docking speaker, air conditioning, everything you could consider in the kitchen, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, dishwasher, 2 Fridges (one for beer & icecream !!!) etc etc....everything.... 3. Customer Service : Excellent, both from Owners Lucy & Julia, and property manager Richard. We had a minor issue that needed looked at (no fault of the owner) & it was dealt with very efficiently & professionally. Lucy / Julia are very considerate to your needs and in ensuring you have the best time at their wonderful villa. 4. Rooms spacious, comfortable, 3 showers, bathrooms, garden very well maintained , good views, not overlooked , all fine I could go on, location is just what we wanted, slightly away from the maddening crowd but still very much within striking distance to larger towns, coastal areas 15 mins to beach at Vale do Lobo. I bike, and this was a perfect location to base myself and head inland to the mountains. I like good restaurants, and found plenty close by. Loule, 5 minutes drive has everything...we needed a hospital (not villa related) and the private hospital in Loule was excellent, also close to Faro if needed. Golden triangle only 15 mins for golf, restaurants, shops etc All in all, thank you Lucy and Julia for providing for everything we would need for a perfect vacation.....there was one problem though....we had to go home !!!! highly recommendable

On arrival we found a welcome pack with some basic groceries and some beers in the fridge – this was a really nice touch for which we were really grateful as we’d arrived late at night, long after the shops had shut! The villa itself is beautiful; bright, spacious, and airy with lots of natural light. The main lounge area was massive, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen and dining room were well equipped. Easily the best thing though was the fully lit pool and patio outside – where we spent most of the week enjoying lazy lunches and hanging out by the pool area which overlooked the amazing local countryside. The location is great; there’s a supermarket very nearby, it’s only a short drive from the nearest towns where you can go on boat trips, eat at nice restaurants and find plenty of things to do, but if you just want to chill and be away from it all (which we did!) the villa has everything you need.

We were a group renting this house, the communication was very easy, quick and we got all the info we needed to plan, arrive and find the house easily from the airport. The house was very well prepared for our arrival, clean and fresh and filled up with essentials. Even a bottle of bubbly, we loved it. The house has quality beds and massive rooms, luxurious bathrooms and large equipped kitchen, its situated in this little paradise with swimming pool (where we spend most of our time in obviously!), lots of flowers, a very picturesque neighbourhood with fruits growing everywhere and a cosy local pub just like advertised, and we had a splendid time and came back well rested and with a nice tan, just how we wanted. We have recommended this to all our friends for a chilled out holiday and are sure to be back very soon!
