The property was lovely! All the comforts in a great location…felt safe and clean and quiet! A beautiful pool and deck, a short walk to anything you’d need, a lovely dock for resting by the ocean and helpful friendly staff!

We would highly recommend staying at this property and any of the Valento Rental properties. We were upgraded to a different house on the property due to a hot water tank issue so we can not speak directly about the Hidden Gem house but can say that the management group and staff who work on the property are absolutely amazing! From coordinating golf cart taxi's to the property (which is highly recommended on first day when arriving with luggage), to the easy rental of bicycles and free use of paddle boards and kayaks. The property and pool areas are extremely clean and the dock out to the water is lovely. We recommend renting bikes for at least a day as it makes it very quick and easy to get around the whole island and explore. It is about a 20 minute walk to the split but there are grocery stores and restaurants closer to the house. We highly recommend Elba's little kitchen a few blocks from the house, Reina's and eating fry jacks at Errolyn's.

When we first arrived to the Hidden Gem, we were skeptical because it was HOT when we walked in. We were assured that it would cool down, which it did, but it took a while. The ladder to the loft is pretty steep, so maybe take that into account. It wasn't an issue for us. The place was clean, and everything was provided for us. This was such a plus and doesn't happen everywhere on the islands! It's a bit far away from the main road, so I would definitely recommend some sort of transportation, other than walking. The pool was lovely, and the staff was very friendly.

We were pleased with the seamless transition from arrival on the water taxi to our residence via taxi arranged by property management. We were greeted by Victoria who was very friendly and gave us instructions for using the property. We also rented bikes from the property, which proved to be a good call for getting around the island. We easily arranged for a snorkeling tour through the property management. The tour also provided us a taxi service in the morning to the departure location. The property was clean upon our arrival and the exterior patios and decks were swept daily by staff. We only had one small toilet plumbing clog that was readily remedy by the staff. We took advantage of the close proximity to the airport for our departure off the island. We enjoyed our accommodations immensely would recommend them to anyone looking for a quiet, private location to enjoy Caye Caulker.

Tim & Debbie were great. The property is fun with a shared pool right outside the cabana. It is a short walk to their oceanfront property. The way the island is set up it's fine for a short walk to the beach instead of the beachfront I didn't feel like we missed out at all. The staff is friendly and helpful. Jiani and Beyonce are awesome concierges, definetly recommend Gerald & Gerald Tours for the snorkeling. I can not really think of anything they could do better.

This is a wonderful property, and the pool is an excellent bonus. We had a great time in the house. It is a short bike ride into town, but we adjusted well to that fact.

We had an amazing time at Hidden Gem! We travelled straight to Caye Caulker from Canada and were exhausted when we arrived. It was nice to have such a clean, beautiful place to relax in. My husband and two kids (ages 9 & 11) loved it too. The pool is beautiful and was a huge bonus for the kiddos. The house itself is in a nice quiet area of town really close to the airport (3 min walk) but there are no flights at night so noise was not an issue. It is about a 10-15 min to “town” but we found it nice to be a little removed from the action. The staff at Palmetto (property management) are awesome and super helpful with everything we needed. The beach and office is just a 3 min walk from the guesthouse. We would definitely stay here again!

This property was really awesome. Everything was as listed online. The staff were great, available and helpful. We couldn't think of one thing that was not in the house that we would have wanted. Really nice house and pool area. We have been to Caye Caulker several times and until we have a place of our own, we will stay in one of these houses!!

The Hidden Gem Cabana was perfect for our first stay in Belize. My husband and I traveled with our two young adult kids, and they were very comfortable in the loft. Property management made extra sure that we had everything we needed. We arrived before check-in, so the crew took our belongings inside the cabana for us (they weren't done cleaning), and Don, with the property management team, personally shuttled us into town to find a restaurant and transportation. The property owners were also responsive and communicative. Overall, a great place and a great stay.

Honestly we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at Hidden Gem Cabana. The pictures don't really do it justice- it's beautiful. Kitchen was large and had everything we needed. The AC worked great and the beds were comfortable. I was slightly concerned about my kids (8 & 10) on the ladder to their loft but they were fine. We were there with another family who rented the Seahorse cabana and it was so fun to share the pool and have our separate houses. We never used bikes or golf cart taxis because we're used to walking a lot, but beware that the mosquitos around the house are HORRIBLE during the rainy season. We couldn't really hang around the pool and we had to run down the street. I'm told it was worse when we were there due to a big storm and that our area of the island is the buggiest, but I figured it was worth mentioning.
