we had an enjoyable weekend. The cottage was as described, the owners had given us comprehensive pertinant infomation and the house furnishing and facilities were good for a holiday. The position, close to the national park, was excellent. we all, that is my wife, my daughter and her two teenage children all agreed how suitable the house was for what we were needing.

House was quiet and ideally located for our visit to the Prom. Not upmarket but adequate for our needs with space to accomodate all our guests. So close to a beautiful beach!

Prompt response from the owner during booking, checking in instructions and useful information were all clear. There were pretty much everything we need for stay. Well prepared for guests. Great location, 7 mins drive to the entrance gate, and the inlet beach was just like private beach! Thank you, we would love to visit again.

It is a cosy country farm living. Suited for people who likes a quiet place to stay and cook for themselves.

The place covered the basic amenities but I would've expected more at that price point. Most importantly it desperately needs a proper deep clean. It's very dusty and hasn't had one in what looks like a long while. On top of the fridge / in the portable heater vents as an example. There was not wood for the fire, and the fire hadn't been cleared so was piled full of ash. Not that we were there to watch TV but it could do with an update as it's older & small. It has potential, and the bed was very comfortable ( hence 2 stars not 1 ), but having stayed in places that make a lot of effort with bread / milk etc this place just didn't. The fact there is one store & one pizza place within 30 minutes means you need to stock up. Considering that for guests and having some basics would go a long way.

Nice and secluded little spot

The location of the house is just perfect. The beach is so close as is the Wilsons prom National park. The house itself is such a cozy place for family and friends. We loved the kitchen that had every utensil you would need on a holiday to cook for yourself. The living room has such a diverse collection of books and CDs and they have a VCR player..like an actual player from the 80s…couldn’t believe that! The rooms are so nice and comfortable as explained in the description. We only stayed for one day and a night which was enough to make us admire the house. Thanks to the hosts for letting us stay in their house. We are surely keen to come back for a long stay sometime soon.

We were a small group of friends staying for a weekend to enjoy time in The Prom. The house was perfect for our needs; plenty for room, well equipped kitchen, quiet location, and very comfortable and warm beds. We’d definitely stay here again.

Really great cottage getaway very close to Wilson's Prom. Somewhat rustic but not lacking in charm

Very comfortable house for a quiet family holiday. Nice kitchen-dining-lounge area, spacious bedrooms, full laundry, 2 toilets. Television is free to air only due to remote location. Good selection of DVDs and board games helped keep the teens occupied. Great location for exploring nearby wilson's prom. Lovely walking track directly from house to shallow inlet. Good alternative to the family cabins at tidal river (which are much smaller and difficult to book in school hols!)

Very friendly hosts, sent lots of useful information in advance. Smooth check-in, very clean and comfy house. Great garden views, amazing deck, kitchen well equipped, books, games, dvds.. The location is perfect, close to Shallow Inlet and the Park‘s entrance. We just wish we had more time, we would have loved to stay longer !

We received msg from owner that property is ready for us to check in from 2pm. We arrived at 8pm and met the cleaner on the front yard. She told us she did not know she need to clean it today. Then she started to clean it and we were waiting outside for an hour. After she changed the bedsheets her husband set on it in his very dirty clothes. He looked like he was working in the field or did a car service. Cleaner walked inside the house with barefeets that were covered with dirt. She dropped the towels on her feet and then put it on the rail for us to use. We called the owner and asked for refund and had to go to motel for that night. I've never seen such a disgusting property and service in Australia.

A very comfortable and well-appointed home in a lovely quiet location, and just a short walk to the beach. A perfect getaway that had everything we wanted. Loved the furniture (so sympathetic to the house) as well as the range of books and games.

We loved our stay at this cottage. It was very comfortable for a group of 5 adults and it was well equipped and decorated. The location is fantastic as a base to Wilson's Prom. Would definitely stay again. We just found it rather odd that towels were not provided (we knew to expect that but still it is inconvenient).

We are keen walkers so loved the location so close to the park and some great tracks! The house was very comfortable. It was a cool spot to escape the heat of the day. The bed was also super comfortable and it was so quiet that we slept well every night.

Add coffee and Tea

Inlet Cottage was a great base for exploring Wilsons Prom. Bedrooms were spacious and the living spaces were good. The house was well stocked with crockery, utensils, books, dvds etc.It was very handy having the general store at the end of Millar Road too. The only disappointment was the state of the barbecue. Lovely otherwise.

The house location was good but unfortunately the house was not well set up for guests. There was a lot of clutter, it was not very clean, particularly the cupboards and dishware. There was no gas in the bbq and it was very dirty. There were used towels in the bathroom. It could be great but these details let it down

Great hosts and very comfortable and clean cottage in a fantastic location and only an short drive to the main access to Wilson’s Prom. An evening walk down the nearby lane will take you to Shallow Inlet the only other entrance to the Prom for beautiful coastal walks and the most amazing sunsets. Highly recommend.

We loved this little cottage so much! It is surrounded by the most peaceful farm land so lots of backyard picnics were had! House is very clean and has everything you need to be able to sit back and relax. And it's so close to the prom!! The Yanakie general is close by and very well stocked. Best fish and chips! Owners were amazing to deal with! We have already booked to stay again!

Yanakie was a very adequate house for our family. All the rooms were spacious with plenty of light. But when the power went out everything went to pot. With no power you have no running water, cannot drink (had to boil before drinking as well) water or use toilets. We lost food in the fridge because the power went out 2 times in 3 nights , 12 hours and 10 hours. The owners were responsive, but the write up did not mention the water business until we got our welcome/keys. Bring your own water if you go to Yanakie. Also, the fuse box is on the front of the house.

There are a big house with many beds and full equipment in kitchen and laundry. That is amazing. Bathroom is little bit small.

We all had a wonderful stay at the cottage and the kids even referred to it as their ‘dream cottage’. We love it for its proximity to the Prom and its access to the Shallow Inlet where we had the beach almost entirely to ourselves at Low tide. Thanks for recommending that we visit Agnes Falls which tuned out to be a beautiful cascade. Wish we had more time!

I would absolutely stay again, this property was so relaxing and peaceful. Bathroom is a bit small but totally functional, and all other spaces in the house, and the yard, are spacious and great to spend time in. There are plenty of heaters and blankets to ensure guests are comfortable. There are limited places to eat nearby so I would recommend bringing some food to cook- the house has plenty of utensils and crockery. The deck out the back is an excellent place to enjoy the sunshine and country side. The hosts were very attentive and provided lots of information, and even checked in on us via message to ensure everything went smoothly. Great place to stay!
