Really needed a place for some R&R for a few days, right on the water, beautiful place to swim and really lovely staff. The sailing tours depart right from the little Jetty at the hotel. Only a few rooms so very quiet at night.

The wifi did not work in the room and it's a bit out of town so getting something to eat at nighttime if you are without transport means calling a taxi. They are affordable though, so it still works out ok.

Cute rooms with a nice shared Patio and optional breakfast. Great Sailing Tour with one of the skippers made our trip perfect!

Be aware that the toilet is inside the room :)

I loved the feeling of this place! The hut is very cute and the room is well taken care of and there was everything I needed: a little desk, nightstand, towels and soap/ etc. The lake is right outside and beautiful. Great for a couple I that wants privacy/ seclusion.

As a solo traveler, there are only 3 rooms to rent, one night I think I was the only traveler there and I felt a little scared. The location is very far from the center of town. I wouldn't reconsider unless I had a car or in a couple to split taxis. Also, they kept the drinking water behind the bar so I had to always ask for water -- not ideal.

oh its excellent place and very friendly staff liking water. I will come back definitelly if staying in bacalar for reasonable money. the nature around is beautiful with direct access to laguna and breakfast viewing the lake.

I loved the staff there, really friendly and helpful, and generally a very good vibe! They could help me with everything. There was kayaks and boats there, and possible to borrow the kayaks.

It was much closer to the highway than what I expected, so it was quite noisy from all the cars passing. Also, not really a place to relax by the water.

Nice location by the lagoon, the eggs were excellent in the morning.

Very noisy all through the night, did not affect me too much as I sleep well, but I am sure it would affect a light sleeper. First time I've been given an unpeeled mango for breakfast, ended up nice and sticky. Could not get the door to lock from the outside and service was very slow.

Very helpful staff and a nice private pier, as well as a lot of nice places to sit and enjoy your time in Bacalar. We really enjoyed our time there!

It is a little hard to see the small sign to the entrance off the main road, so be prepare to circle back once or twice.

The stuff were amazing! I loved them, they were really friendly! I had a Katamaran tour, which was the best ever! Thank you so much! This was a dream!

The price is to high! It’s even 15€ worth. Cause the comfort is very low and the breakfast was a joke to be honest. I didn’t sleep any hour in that bungalow. Cause they where - I swear - over 100 Moskitos. When I came there where already a lot dead one under the pillow in the bed - all over. During the night it startet to be a Moskito Pandemie in that room. I couldn’t stay in that bed because hundreds of Moskitos were walking in my bed - on me - under me - everywhere. So I waited to whole night for the next morning to leave. It was a nightmare and I felt really bad. I know it’s on the water, but they need to find a solution for this. Or not charge that price. I booked 3 days, but left after the one night without a second of sleep.

Right on the lake, calm area, squirrels, beautiful breakfast, amazing family-run place. You could also get a sailboat trip here, or even sail yourself.

Lovely location on the lake. Very nice and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Kayaks available at reasonable price. But kayaking around the lake it felt like this was one of the shabbier places. Good price but you get what you pay for.

Rooms are very simple and not as cute as they look online. Bathroom/shower is only separated by a half wall. Got in late and took a shower and my hairdryer blew a circuit and they couldn't get the outlet or light in the bathroom area back on, or the light in the room next to mine. Assume they fixed it the next day but i don't know as only stayed one.
