Access to the beach with just a five minute walk to watch the sunrise each morning and pet friendly are my priorities. This property met both those requirements. Plus having friendly, helpful owners is the cherry on the top. On top of that, having volunteers on the beach where the dolphins typically strand feed to answer any questions, makes the Kiawah location go above and beyond.

This perfect beech house was clean, in a great location, and the owner was friendly and responsive. We had a great time!

We enjoyed our time on Kiawah. The house was conveniently located and gave plenty of room for our family of 5. We enjoyed working with the owners who were responsive and helpful and allowed us to make a last minute change and bring our small dog. We appreciated the communication that we could get in a little early as well. Minor improvements could be made to cleanliness of the back porch and kitchen (dishes that were in cabinets probably not cleaned by previous tenant). Dishes in general were sparse. Great space, friendly communication. We would stay again. Thank you!

Very cozy cottage in a shaded,wooded area with lots of wildlife to enjoy. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils, dishes and cookware. Comfortable beds. Lots of beach towels and extra towels. Love the beach and the bike paths. We would stay here again.

Last year I wrote the review "Wonderful Beach House" May 2022. This year everything was just as perfect. We already booked for next year. That's how nice this cottage and area is!

Spent a full week on Kiawah with my immediate family and it was such a lovely stay. It was our first time on the island and Cheryl’s home was perfectly located near the beach and an easy drive to the local restaurants and grocery store. Host was very communicative and we felt right at home. Looking forward to our next visit :)

We had a wonderful time with our extended family! Location was close to golf, the stores and beach. We definitely will come back!

My family had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The cottage was perfect. We had easy access to beach, bike trails, shopping, and fishing. Everyone was happy!

Clean upon arrival & enjoy my stay even while waiting for wind & rain from Hurricane Nicole to finish up at end of week. Very quiet neighborhood with 5 min. walk to beach access 1. Would recommend & stay again.

We haven't been to Kiawah for about 10 years it was as pretty as we remembered but wasn't a fan of the new construction at our beach. It is one of the widest and largest beaches on the east coast that is worth the trip alone! The walk in the hot weather seemed longer than 7 min to the beach but we timed it and it was 7 minutes. We must be weak northerners not used to the heat. The shady paths were a bonus. The cottage was clean (especially the bathrooms) and well equipped but there was a slight moldy odor in the kitchen area upon opening cabinets. The dishes were chipped we wished we had brought paper plates. Who wants to do dishes anyway! The kids really enjoyed biking the trails but needed OFF spray by 4pm as we forgot about the ferociousness of the mosquitoes. For the very reasonable price and location the cottage is nice for a private stay especially with the dog. Great during covid so that you can social distance from others on the beach. Can't find that space on beaches up North! Thanks for sharing your home with us. I can imagine it's really lovely down in Kiawah in the fall and early spring when it isn't as hot.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay for the week. The house was clean, prepared and fully stocked with all the kitchen utensils you could ever need. The walk to the beach is a wee bit long but very pleasant and scenic with abundance of natural beauty . The neighborhood is quite, clean and family and pet friendly. Highly recommended staying here.

Cheryl has a lovely property in a quiet area only a couple minutes walk to the pool and twice that to the beach. It was fun to take a morning walk around the pond and see a pair of alligators nearly every day.

Amazing location, comfortable cottage in Sparrow Pond. Plenty of clean bath towels and beach towels. Beach chairs available at property.

We had a great time at this property. Kiawah is super laid back and relaxing. The house was in great condition, the beds are super comfortable. Overall enjoyed it and would stay again.

This was such a wonderful trip and Cheryl was so helpful with any and everything Kiawah!! The cottage was so comfortable and had everything we needed. We plan on returning next summer!!

My husband and our dogs totally fell in love with this beach home and area. The quiet neighborhood abounds with nature and beautiful natural landscaping. The beach is spectacular, expansive and hard packed so you can walk and bike for miles. Also, if you turn right after entering the beach at Boardwalk #1 and keep walking you'll soon be surrounded by only the ocean and dunes. Heaven on earth! We easily rented lounges and an umbrella. Excellent service. If you haven't experienced the fun and historical city of Charleston, you're in for a real treat. Many tours in the area. We dined a few nights in the city. Anson was the winner. Closer to the house was The Royal Tern, which impressed us. On the island we enjoyed 48 Wine Bar, walked for cocktails and appetizers at the Cougar Point Golf Course and don't miss the Atlantic Room at the Ocean Course, where the PGA was held last year. The drive there is so pretty and so Kiawah. This house is very dog friendly and well maintained. You can tell only well-behaved dogs have stayed here. Ample comfortable seating. Very good washer and dryer in its own utility room. TV and Netflix easy to use. Offers a very private screened porch. Great for watching wildlife. Cheryl, the owner, extremely nice to work with. We all returned home so relaxed and refreshed after our two week stay. Looking forward to our return!

The property was exactly as described, well furnished, comfortable, all amenities expected and close to the beach on foot. Absolutely no complaints! A lovely setting for a family getaway. My daughter and her family were nearby with a similar unit not as nice and priced higher. They were also impressed with ours by comparison.

Stayed at this location for 30 days. Extremely good site for beach and moving around Kiawah... Easy to bike paths and into off island commercial area. Furniture a little dated, but several different areas to sit, watch TV, or enjoy screened-in porch. Location has high level of foliage and trees so sunlight does not always lighten the inside of house. Ended up turning on lamps even during daytime hours. Extremely quiet neighborhood. Only real complaint was not having a really sharp set of knives ( restaurant quality) .. Would definitely recommend...

Lovely and spacious detached home. Fully winterized and comfortable in December. Two outdoor lounges - one fully screened and one open-air. Very quiet area with numerous walking paths and bike trails. House had everything we needed to prepare our meals.

Our week at Kiawah was wonderful. Cheryl’s house was the perfect place for my husband and I to relax and enjoy the beauty of the island. It was clean, well kept, convenient to the beach and perfect for enjoying the beauty around us. Thank you for sharing your house with us. We hope to return.

The unit is a very, very short walk to a quiet portion of the beach (Boardwalk One) and managed to fit a great deal of usable space into a good-sized but not huge home. Screened-in porch, side (private) deck, front porch, good ground-floor storage….more than enough space for some separate spaces for adults and kids. Appreciate it and we’ll be back!
