The cottage was exactly as we had expected and Jan made us very welcome. The location is perfect - in a very peaceful location just a short walk to the beautiful Belongil beach and about 2km into the centre of Byron Bay (either walking along the beach or road ... or a few minutes in the car). The cottage is very private and overlooks the garden. It is well equipped and comfortable, and even on one chilly night while we were there we were very cosy with the heater on. Would also highly recommend the Treehouse just along the road for dinner.

Great private getaway close to Byron Bay. The garden is a private oasis and we loved watching the bird life. Close to the beach where you can walk for miles in either direction. Jen is a great host and we would definitely want to stay here if we were back in Byron Bay.

My mum & I loved our week in Jan's beautiful artist cottage. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Enjoyed the leafy backyard, outdoor dining, close proximity to the beach & the quiet street. I'd definitely recommend it!

Great location within walking distance down the beach to Byron but not in the busy part of town. Great couple of bars/ restaurants a few hundred metres away & the ocean nearly on your doorstep. A tranquil garden setting. Lovely!

Absolutely loved our stay. Such a gorgeous little place and beautiful private garden. The location is simply PERFECT as well, just a minute walk to the beach. Only improvement for me would be to have a fan, even though it has a good working airco.

The property does not have direct beach access as the photos suggest. The bathroom and toilet can only be accessed by going outside which does not suit our mature age. We will be reluctant to use home Stayz again

was warmly welcomed on arrival and had an amazing stay. Room was clean and well decorated. could hear the beach from the room. property manager was friendly and replaced towels daily. 10/10 would recommend.

This is a lovely little guest cottage, literally a minute walk from beach and amazing eateries (treehouse). If simple and secret is your vibe then I would highly recommend a stay. Jan is a beautifully welcoming host.

Very nice, even though it is a cottage with the main house nearby the way it had been established makes it very secluded with its own garden area. We loved it here. The location is also fantastic, so good to be away from the main busy area of Byron but still so close to the beach and cafes. Being able to walk 2min to the Treehouse Café was perfect for dinner and breakfast.
