Wir haben zu zweit mit Hund, 10 Tage in völliger Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit verbracht. Das Haus liegt großartig. Panoramablick rundum, die Landschaft lässt einen schnell zur Ruhe kommen. Der Pool ist super, groß genug um Bahnen zu schwimmen. Ein tolles Fleckchen Erde. Ein Hinweis zur Zufahrt: Für tiefergelegte Fahrzeuge definitiv ungeeignet. Wir haben das für die Aussicht gerne in Kauf genommen.

We have spent three wonderful weeks in absolute remoteness. The house is large and well equipped, very pleasant that each room has a bathroom. Access is via a four kilometer gravel road, one kilometer of which is in very poor condition. But you are in the middle of nature, every evening we could watch foxes, badgers, hares and deer very close to the house, and you also have a magnificent panorama of Citta della Pieve, Chiusi, Montepulcano and the sunset. Very pleasant pool, which was cleaned every second to third day. For the days in between we would have liked a Dolphin (pool robot) to keep the pool clean. There was also a lack of other supplies to clean the house once in between (we didn't manage to get the two available vacuum cleaners working). In previous years we have always rented houses in Umbria - this year for the first time there was no personal contact with the owners/landlords, there was also no welcome greeting (fruit, olive oil,...) as in previous years, which made the whole thing a little impersonal. But overall we had a wonderful vacation.

Un MAGNIFIQUE lieu où se reposer et se ressourcer. Nous avons séjourné 15 jours dans cette ancienne ferme joliment restaurée. Au calme absolu au bout d'un chemin (la tranquillité se mérite un peu!) , dans une magnifique oliveraie face aux collines de Toscane et d'Ombrie vous dinerez, soleil couchant face à Citta' della Pieve. Maison agréable, spacieuse et confortable attention toutefois frelons et guêpes (Simona a aussitôt dépêché Mr Ferdinando avec une bombe pour régler le problème) nombreux en été (c'est la campagne) vous pourrez apercevoir, tôt le matin des lièvres mais point positif pas de moustiques! La maison est bien ventilée mais il peut parfois faire un peu chaud (il y a des ventilateurs). la piscine est belle et grande, de nombreux endroits dans la maison et le jardin pour s'isoler, bronzer ou lire à l'ombre d'un arbre. Faire du sport... La cuisine est très bien équipée, le BBQ un peu ancien mais adapté pour 8. Et comme nous sommes en Italie, il faut impérativement tester le four à bois pour la pizza ou les "lasagne al forno". Simona la gérante est très sympathique, accommodante et réactive. Je recommande vivement cette maison.

Villa conforme à la description, très agréable et très calme dans un cadre idyllique. Une grande piscine, des bonnes parties de Billard. Un long chemin en pierre... voitures sportives ou basses à proscrire. Nous recommandons vivement.

Wir haben mit zwei Familien einen super Urlaub verbracht. Die Lage des schönen Hauses auf einem Hügel ist perfekt. Super Aussicht, immer ein kleiner Wind - super im Sommer. Der Pool ist schön groß. Das Haus bietet ausreichend Platz und ist gut ausgestattet. Die Küche hat aller Nötige. Super: der große Kühlschrank mit Eisfach. Es hat uns sehr gefallen.

Très belle maison, décorée avec beaucoup de gout et très bien située

We spent two lovely weeks with our three boys and Ava, our 3 yr. old lady dog. We not only loved the house, the pool and the views. Also, all commnication with Simona was smooth and prompt, leaving no questions unanswered and no room for dissatisfaction. Finally, Eleonora and her husband, taking care of any issues with the house not only were extremely friendly welcomers, but also quick assistants with little questions when they arose. We can highly recommend La Villa and will be happy to return.

La maison se trouve dans un coin isolé au milieu de la nature, permettant de bénéficier d'une vue à couper le souffle. Nous avons pu profiter de merveilleux coucher de soleil chaque soir. La maison est conforme à la description avec tout les équipements nécessaires pour passer de bonnes vacances. Chaque chambre est équipée de sa propre salle de bain, ce qui est un plus lorsque l'on voyage à plusieurs familles. La piscine est grande et très agréable L'emplacement nous a permit de visiter à la fois les villages autour (citta della pieve, lac de Trasimène, etc) que de partir en train à Rome, puis à Florence sur une journée. Seul bémol : nous avons eu beaucoup de frelons au début et nous avons du faire attention chaque soir à ne pas laisser les lumières allumées. Je recommande cette location

Wonderful villa in a very privat place. Perfectly maintained, the house as well as the pool. Very nice and helpful staff. Easy and fast communication with the owner, who helps to find the best solution. The house is tastfully decorated and furbished, with a lot of unique pictures. The only imperfect thing is the very small cooking space (hotplates) and the quite short beds (only a problem for tall people). Thank you very much Simona for letting us stay in your beautiful villa! I spent a pleasant holiday and relaxing in "La Villa" with my husband and our daughters aged 7 and 16 years. We also had a way to spend the holiday in this beautiful country house with our inseparable dog Nana. The house is tastefully furnished and equipped with all the comforts to spend a comfortable holiday. The location of the house is unique and allows for maximum privacy in a context of absolute nature. If you love the Umbria-Tuscany area "La Villa" is the ideal home for a great holiday with family and friends.

We stayed at the house for a week and had great time. The environment was absolutely fantastic; the view from the house was spectacular every day again. The house itself was perfect too, with lots of reading places and spacious rooms with separate bathrooms. We enjoined the big swimming pool and the kids could play freely in the huge garden. It was a great holiday at a great place and I recommend the house to everybody.

Cara Simona, ti scrivo queste poche righe per ringraziati dell’ospitalità. Il casale è veramente bello e confortevole. Siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti di aver scelto “La Villa” in quanto abbiamo potuto abbinare a delle bellissime passeggiate nel verde la vista a delle stupende località turistiche come Firenze, Perugia ed il Lago Trasimeno. La casa è molto accogliente ed ho molto apprezzato la possibilità di portare con la mia famiglia i nostri inseparabile cani Birba e Gigi. Siamo stati fortunati con il tempo che è stato molto bello. La cosa che più mi è piaciuta è il posto in cui si trova la casa. Il panorama è magnifico e si prova una sensazione di pace e tranquillità unica. I write this review to thank the treatment received. The holiday spent in "La Villa" with my loved ones was very nice and comfortable. "La Villa" is a real country house located in an area of absolute privacy with breathtaking views. The house has a beautiful garden and a well-maintained private pool. La Villa was well appointed with good quality furnishings and fittings and everything that I needed. There was a large patio area outside with sun loungers and a table and benches and a tree for shade. There were more sun loungers by the pool and plenty of shaded areas around the property to sit and read. I fondly remember the days spent in the pool with my children and long walks in the countryside with my dog Birba. The Villa is also well positioned as it allows easy access to major cities. In conclusion I would recommend this property to others as it was of a high standard in a lovely and esclusive position.

We spent a wonderful, restful week at the Villa. The views are stunning, the photos here do not do it justice. In fact much of the holiday was spent wandering around and gazing at the beautiful surroundings! The Villa itself, was well equipped with everything we needed, with amazing views from every window. There is a comfortable outside eating area that is covered for the hotter days, a good barbecue, and the pool was lovely and well kept. There are bikes, a billiard table, boules and even a child-friendly croquet set. It is very well positioned for exploring Umbria and Tuscany should you want to venture out. We particularly liked the beautiful Citta della Pieve which could been seen from the Villa, where there are restaurants, a small well stocked supermarket, and some interesting shops. Highly recommend the Villa for a relaxing and very memorable holiday.

While the Villa property is very isolated, with a long stretch of bumpy gravel road to access it, we did not mind this once we'd driven in and out a few times. We certainly enjoyed the peace and quiet and the grounds are great. The view of the surrounding hills and twinkling lights of Citta della Pieve are breathtaking. The kitchen is very well equipped and we cooked many fabulous meals there. We made day trips as far east as Spello, north to Florence and west to Montalcino and we especially enjoyed going to Paciano for dinner, which is just 10 km away. The Villa was very clean and the pool was well-maintained and aside from a couple of broken poolside chairs, there are many areas to sit and eat outdoors. Our only recommendations would be that the mattresses on the beds be upgraded as they are pretty uncomfortable! We had issues with one of the toilets upstairs which I expect the owner will have fixed by now. The hydro power did go out often - sometimes twice a day and thankfully there were instructions on how to fix this, but it can involve walking outside in the dark to the main hydro pole, which some may not appreciate. Also, when we visited, there were swarms of hornets all around the villa which, while they didn't sting, made it problematic to leave windows open as they repeatedly made their way inside. Overall, we loved our time at the Villa and we would definitely recommend it.

We spent three very relaxing weeks in this nicely furnished house with its huge garden and the pool with its great panoramic view. It is absolutely quiet and the only "noise" - apart from our dog's squeeking ball - came from birds, crickets, and a cow somwhere in the distance. The house is also ideally situated to visit places in Umbria and Tuscany. There are various small shops in Moiano, and a bigger Famila supermarket with a broad range of products is located in the next village. The house is definitely recommendable!

Our family with 3 kids stayed at the Villa for one week in June and absolutely loved every minute of it. One week was too short a time to spend in this lovely place. The villa is very old but modernised with taste, and spacious - we did not miss anything. The estate of the villa is absolutely huge - you can take quite a long walk admiring it and the views. The garden is also big and beautifully maintained - our youngest, 8 years old boy loved to run around it. The pool was big enough for all our kids. Since the villa is on top of the hill everywhere you look at there is absolutely lovely panoramic view with hills, mountains, old villages. We were of the opinion that in reality the villa and its views are much better than in the add and pictures of HomeAway. Moreover, the spot is very peaceful since it is isolated - the nearest houses are not to be seen. The villa is also well located in order to visit both Umbria and Toscany. There are many places of interest to visit by car. All in all, our family was very, very pleased with the holiday in the villa and certainly would like to come back some day.

We had excellent two week vacation in this perfect place. For my family this was the first trip to Italy, but we will definitely go back, experience was so good overall. We all loved the Villa and its surroundings. Villa itself was well equipped. At least we felt that nothing was missing. Location on top of the hill and stony walls kept Villa nice and cool even during hotter days. The view from the hill was breathtaking, we were amazed by it, every single day. Kids enjoyed playing on the big yard and in pool. Honestly, I have to say that in my opinion (and my travel companions agree) the pictures in Homeaway.com or Villa´s own website don´t fully do justice to this place. We expected lot, but got more. On the other hand, I guess that capturing fully this hilly scenery is impossible with any kind of device. Housekeeper Eleonora was very kind and helpful. We had just few wishes when we first met her and all of them were fulfilled the next day. Also our concern about missing washing machine (see earlier review) was unnecessary as there´s separate laundry room in the Villa. We also found distances to all Umbria and Tuscany sites and local food stores very convenient (by car). There´s quite a few good food stores in nearby towns Moiano and Chiusi. From Chiusi one can take train to Rome, Florence or Siena if not brave enough to drive there (we weren´t). It is very easy to recommend La Villa to pretty much anyone after this experience.

What a wonderful place! What great amenities! My husband and I along with my sister in law, her husband and their daughter, had the pleasure of staying at La Villa for a recent trip to Umbria to attend a wedding. We chose to stay at this beautiful countryhouse located on a hill directly facing Città della Pieve. It turned out to be a very wise decision. The Villa was everything (and more) promised by the ad: it was absolutely gorgeous, extremely well maintained, very comfortable for families and meticulously clean. It was so nice to relax in the patio with coffee in the morning and wine at night while star-gazing! Eleonora, the housekeeper, was really kind in helping us in any situation and was always interested in our staying being the best it could be. We will definitely return to this Villa and will recommend it highly to friends traveling to the Umbria area.

The Sat Nav took us straight there although we thought we had got lost as it was almost 4 KM from the main road and the track seemed to go on forever - literally right in the middle of nowhere. We were met on arrival by Eleanor and she and her husband were lovely and showed us how everything worked. The grounds were huge and so lots of room for our 6 year old boy to run around! There was a games room and that was very good especially for the younger two. We were initially worried that there was no Air con but we did not have a problem at all inside the villa was very cool - especially as we were there the first two weeks of August. The beds looked a bit old fashioned but were fine - the double bed could perhaps do with a new mattress but we were so tired that it wasn't a problem. My only complaint really was that there was no washing machine. This villa is geared up for familes and I was very surprised that there was no washing machine. I did do washing by hand and we even bought a washing line and my husband put it up between two trees in the garden so we got washing done and dried. The ironing board also could have done with being renewed but I just ironed on the table. All in all we had a very pleasant and enjoyable holiday and we absolutely loved the location. There is so much to do round and about and there was the best pizzaria restaurant in the village, very welcoming and great food at reasonable prices. There are several towns nearby which were lovely and of course the lake which we spent a fantastic day at and hired a pedalo with a slide which my 6 year old could not get enough of. Brilliant holiday - would definitely recommend and go again.

Fantastic house in a wonderful setting, hidden away at the end of a lengthy track for near complete seclusion. With views to die for, this well-equipped house with fantastic swimming pool provided my family and I a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of city living. Thoroughly recommended for a family escape!
