Great holiday, only negative point is the lack of stair rails which are very dangerous for all age groups. Fab location!

Our second stay at Howton Cottage & it was just as wonderful as before. Everything about it’s quaintness & quirkiness is just delightful & being set within the stunning surroundings of Kingsand/Cawsand just adds to the magic! We could not ask for more & we cannot wait to return… hopefully sooner than later!

We had a lovely few days in this cottage. It was well equipped and cosy and lovely to be so close to the sea. Enjoyed eating at The Bay and the Cross Hands and had fun watching the rugby with the locals at the Rising Sun!

We love Cawsand and have stayed a few times but this was our first time in Howton Cottage. It's a beautiful cottage that was presented beautifully clean with lovely bedrooms, sitting room and a great kitchen. It had everything we needed. It doesn't have any outside space but the bathroom is well set up as a drying room for wetsuits, swimsuits, etc. would definitely recommend.

The cottage and the village are quaint and delightful. We arrived by train to Plymouth, then chose to take the Cawsand ferry which landed right on the beach. It was wonderful but the ferry only operates as weather permits. Be aware that you have to order a taxi in advance if you need to leave the village for major grocery shopping or sight seeing. The cottage and the entire village is not suitable for mobility impaired. Lovely location.

The cottage is in a perfect location. Cawsand and Kingsand at both really lovely places with ideal beaches. It is a shame the Cross Keys pub has closed down on the square, perhaps a reflection of the times and maybe the lack of locals. Only big minus for me was the lack of recycling in the villages. We found nothing available and so had to carry all our empty bottles, plastic and cardboard back to Leicestershire. Surely the council should be doing better than this. No reflection on the cottage though, it's Fab!

Wonderful relaxing holiday
This cottage is perfect for a holiday in Cawsand. We had the most wonderful week. The cottage has everything you need and the owners are amazing at answering any questions. We will be back and would highly recommend! X

Perfect cottage in perfect location
We stayed for a week and could have not asked for a better location, the cottage had all we needed and was in the right location for the seaside and local pubs. We stayed with our dog and all the places there were very dog friendly.

Cawsand/Kingsand lovely place!
Cottage in ideal location. There was just two of us and a dog and found it perfectly adequate for our needs.
Lounge setup not perfect for tv watching (and tv a little small) but that was fine with us.
Local pubs and The Bay restaurant all serving lovely food. Tasty pasties from the shop in the square
No dogs on Cawsand beach during the summer but shingle beaches in Kingsand and beyond allow.
Parking is in the local car park a short distance from the front and the property. Be advised there is a charge!

Cawsand
Property conveniently located. Very damp in living room settee felt actually wet it was so damp. Heating should be on to keep it dry it improved with the heater on but not a good start. Kettle lid is broken and light bulbs in attic bedroom not working.
Very large stain on quilt cover in first floor bedroom — washed in but obvious, and whilst the bedding I think was washed it needs a jolly good boil! Very yellowed round edges. Surely there should be a rail up the stairs to the attic room and a safely gate at the top it’s very dangerous.

Perfect location for this cosy cottage
Howton Cottage is perfectly situated about 2 minutes walk from Cawsand beach. It is a quaint little place with a large kitchen and ample storage space to unpack all your gear. Adjacent to the site of the Ship pub, which is now used for pop up events, we were lucky enough to have live music on the first night of our stay with a guitarist and singer and no need for a babysitter as we listened from our own front room.
The only thing missing is some outside space, but the lack of this is typical in the village and it certainly wouldn't put us off coming back.

A most charming and enchanting cottage in the centre of Cawsands minutes from beaches, restaurants, shops and pubs. Beautifully presented and wonderfully equipped. Ideal for families including children. The owners were most helpful and answered our emails promptly. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Highly recommended.

Fabulous location, cosy but plenty of room. Very well equipped with everything we needed. Easy check in and check out and great instructions/information provided. We would certainly book again.

Lovely cottage, great location
Loved our stay in this beautiful cottage. Everything is how it is described on the ad and it was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Three of us were staying and it was a comfortable size for us, and wouldn't be too cramped for up to 5 people (especially families with kids). Location is fantastic and close to the beach and all of the very decent pubs of Cawsand and Kingsand! Car park is only a few minutes walk away so easy to go to and from your car.
Richard and Lisa were very responsive and helpful in the run up to our stay and provided very detailed instructions for our arrival (thanks guys!). Overall, I'd highly recommend this place for families or friends after a nice getaway to Cornwall.

Character cottage with all the modern conveniences needed.
Booked over Christmas and the owners had delightfully decorated with a true classy Christmas feel which was very much appreciated. In the description they mentioned the kitchen and utensils... and true to word I managed a full traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings easily. The other mention I enjoyed was the bed linen ... excellent quality high thread cotton I believe... spoilt me. Cawsand is a lovely village, very little traffic in the off season, in the summer I often stay in my boat in Cawsand bay and it really is the old fashioned family holiday which some might remember.
