Location and the quietness

We paid for a private apartment but got only a room in another apartment with shared bathroom and kitchen - completely different and less comfy as the one in the pictures. The reason the host gave us was that the apartment from the pictures was under reconstruction. It was explained to us that because of this the host will sleep in the apartment, which meant that even if we had stayed there, she would have been there with us for the whole time - something that we explicitly avoid when booking a place. At first, we agreed to stay at the other apartment, even though it wasn't as nice as we paid for. However, a few minutes later after the host left, we had the opportunity to look around and we found many really unpleasant and dirty places in the apartment. It hadn't been cleaned for months, the blanket was not changed and there were some pets in the apartment - spiders, bugs... To sum this up, please don't waste your money - you can find a far better place for less money. We doubt that the place from the pictures has ever been rented at all or it's fake. From an old comment here, we understood that the same excuse was given in October when the place started welcoming guests according to Booking.
