This rental condo was exactly as described and was extremely convenient to all sorts of water activities and restaurants but without the noise. Nice touches — labels on light and fan switches and plenty of basic supplies — made this condo easy to navigate. Owner had nice artwork, books and games — and a wonderful local property manager who was very responsive. We truly enjoyed our stay.

I don't think you'll find a better location to stay in Roatan! Solitude of your own beach just 30 steps from the door but a very short walk to the vibrant life of beautiful West Bay beach. We were blessed to see toucans every morning in the trees as we had our morning coffee on the deck. They were such a treat! The shining star of this condo is the master bedroom with an amazing view. What a great way to wake up every morning! The dive shop next door was good to work with and super convenient for renting snorkel gear. The bar/restaurant next door has a great happy hour and their deck has an excellent vibe! Debbie the condo owner and Conny her property manager were very easy to contact if needed. Overall we had a great week and would definitely go back!

Location Location Location...the condo is close to everything yet secluded enough to get away from it all. Everything is within walking distance..steps to the beach for great snorkeling, small walk on the beach to so many restaurants and activities. The most beautiful beach you have ever seen. A rental car is not needed since there are water taxis to take you from West Bay to West end. We really likes that everything seemed to quite down around 9pm or so, not that it was ever loud.

Had a wonderful experience, the location is perfect, away from the crowds but a short walk to lots of restaurants and entertainment.

Loved the location of this property. You can walk to the prettiest part of west bay beach with all the restaurants & bars in minutes or retreat to the quiet area right in front of the condo. Loved having Las Rocas resort right next door. Walked over to it in 1 minute to dive, eat & drink at restaurant. Will definitely be back!

This condo was absolutely wonderful! The condo itself was very comfortable and spacious. It had everything we needed for a week vacation and the location was absolutely perfect. The beach out front was very calm for the kids to play in and secluded from the west bay crowds. Even on cruise ship days, people rarely wander around Las Rocas. You get the secluded beach feel with the fun atmosphere of west bay just a few hundred yards away. The best snorkeling is down in west bay (5 minute walk), but the kids found some really fun stuff right in front of the condo including eels, a giant green moray eel, octopus, lobster, lion fish, jelly fish and so much more! Debbie checked in on us to make sure everything was ok and Conny answered any questions that popped up throughout the week. The banana bread and empanada men came by every morning; make sure to try them both! They come by around 8 am along the beach. Cruise ship days get a little crowded along west bay beach, but very fun atmosphere. We enjoyed crab races, live music, fire dancing and good food at Bananarama! The boys also figured out how to climb the 20 foot dock (slightly broke but still sturdy!! Definitely a must do) in west bay and jump off into the ocean. After a few jumps, everyone on the beach gave it a go! The condo location on the island is great and a very short drive or water taxi to west end. Our last night the ocean washed up bioluminescence on the beach, that was so fun to see and splash onto the shore; making the sand glow! We would love to return soon to Roatan and this location and condo would be the first place we check.

We loved our stay. The location was perfect to walk to the beach and so many restaurants. The view was so peaceful watching the water taxis going by and every morning the birds would visit us. We think they were Macaws. The water taxis would drop us off at the condo if we ask them to. The place is very quiet and the beach is great. There is enough activity near by and yet if you want to be left alone its perfect. The place was well stocked and the owners and management were easy to communicate with during our stay. We recommend this place for up to 6 people. The upper patio is so nice to watch the sunset. we loved that the bedrooms had their own air conditioning. We never heard any neighbors when inside the condo. Internet was great, we never even turned on the tv so cant say anything about that. We hope to return for another visit sometime. We had everything we needed and more. This is the best location on the beach- much less traffic, very quiet, clean gorgeous beach.

We stayed 4 nights, but should've stayed longer! Such a great location and property. Ada and Rueben (property managers) were great for rides and setting up excursions. Debbie (Owner) was very good at responding to questions I had. We enjoyed the parrots in the tree by the unit and the quiet location but so close to bars and restaurants. We went to Trattoria next door at Las Rocas and it had great 2 for 1 happy hour drinks. Beds were very comfortable. Unit was well stocked with the essentials. The only issue was lots of mosquitos/bugs, so we weren't able to enjoy being outside as much as we would've liked. We were warned about it and brought bug spray. Hopefully they aren't as bad during other times of the year.

Communication was great with both the owner and property manager. Location was close to everything, yet secluded. Told the manager about minor repairs that needed done, and it is being handled. Roatan was also great. Good people everywhere we went. Vendors on the beach got annoying after a few days of asking us to buy the same stuff, but they were a lot more polite than I've experienced elsewhere. We may try a different location next time we visit, but only because we want to learn more about the island.

This is a second story condo with steps that lead from the back porch to the beach. There is a nice outdoor shower available before going up. The pool is shared with the other 5 condos but was never an issue during our stay. You are in a private cove with the larger populated beach with all the attractions a short walk away. Everything you need, except groceries, is a short walk away. Ada, the manager, was readily available and helpful in arranging tours during our stay. The owners were super helpful in assuring we had a great stay. Our group consisted of 3 kids and 6 adults and the condo accommodated us perfectly. We look forward to making this a regular trip!

My family of 5 loved our stay! The condo had everything we needed and plenty of room for us and our young adult children. Easy walking access to everything in West Bay…snorkeling, restaurants, etc. Setting up the details of the rental with Debbi was so easy and she answered all inquiries quickly. While in Roatan we enjoyed the property managers, Ada and Ruben. They made all our reservations for activities and provided car rides as needed. They also took us to/from the airport. We’d return for sure!

Great service and attentiveness to our needs

It was easy renting and checking in. Property manager Ada was very nice and helpful. We were very happy with the location and place. The property needs some updating and new utensils in the kitchen and also one of the bathroom toilets needs to get fixed. Other than that we were happy with the unit.

This unit is in need of a lot of work. Only having 1 key for 2 couples was an issue. The lack of warm water and amount of time to get it was frustrating. The condition of plumbing fixtures needs repair or upgrading. There is a lot of lose flooring and in need of repair. The amount of mould on walls being I have a mould allergy I was taking allergy medication daily. It was disappointing when power went out we were the only unit not on generator. Your people at the complex were wonderful helping us when asked . The beach area was raked daily and pool cleaned daily. The location is perfect and we hope to return in future. Thank you very much for making our stay so wonderful.

This was our second visit to Roatan and our second stay in this condo complex. The condo itself is roomy, with plenty of space of my wife, two children and our au pair. The three bedrooms are all wonderful, with air conditioning and all the comforts. The kitchen is well outfitted with the things we needed to make breakfast and lunch. The best thing about the condo is the location. You are right next to everything you want. Gumbalimba park is a short walk away, where you can interact with macaws and monkeys. All the resorts are a short walk in the other direction. But you have peace and quiet with the small pool and beach in back of the condo. We have brought our children, both under 10 and they loved playing on the beach and in the pool. It is a tropical paradise.

The Cervantes Condo was perfect for our party of 2 families, 4 adults and 4 children. The condo is very spacious and has a well appointed kitchen if you care to prepare meals, we only used the kitchen to prepare breakfast and it had everything we needed. The ocean view from the very large upstairs master bedroom is amazing. You can snorkel the spectacular reef right in front of the Condo if you care to swim out a bit or walk to the Grand Roatan resort where the reef is right near shore. Roatan is a snorkelers/ divers paradise but the island has much to offer. We would definitely return to Roatan and stay at Condo Cervantes in the future.

We absolutely loved staying at Condo Cervantes. The upstairs bedroom had an amazing view of the ocean. The condo is right on the beach. We loved how quiet it was around the condo yet you could take a less than 5 minute walk over to a larger gorgeous beach with lots of bars and restaurants. The condo was clean and very spacious with bbq's, bath, and beach towels provided. We will definitely be staying here again! Thank you Debbie!

I can’t say enough... nearly private beach, pool, 2 min walk on the beach to a tiki bar/food, very quite/relaxing and a 7 min stroll on the beach to West End Beach party action. Home faces due west with the most beautiful sunsets we have ever seen. Kevin, John and Jensen were kind, polite and just a pnone call away if we needed anything. We were a group on 6 adults and 3 kids that take a family vacation every year. We all agreed it doesn’t get any better than this. Thanks Steve and Debbie!!

We had a fabulous stay at Condo Cervantes. While we were trying to decide where to stay in Roatan this property was very intriguing to us however we had read a recent review that was very negative and we were concerned about it so we asked the owner what the condition of the property was currently before we committed to renting it. She assured us that all of the items that were mentioned were taken care of. The patio table on the upper deck off the master bedroom was no longer there. I must admit it would be nice to have some more furniture there but we did have a couple of Adirondack chairs to use to watch the beautiful sunset every night! The kitchen was very well stocked with many dishes, glasses, pots and pans, brand new silverware. There was even baking pans and a mixer. The bathrooms certainly do not need to be gutted, however, we were told they are ready to put all new plumbing in during the next few months. Sometimes the water pressure wasn't what we were used to but everything worked just fine. I guess Roatan has had one of the rainiest seasons in a long time and the roof leak that was mentioned along with the electrical problem were all taken care of. This unit is not on the generator and we were told that up front. The electricity only went off one time during our week stay and it was during the night so it did not interfere with our time there. The location of this unit is definitely the BEST on West Bay Beach as they describe it to be. It is so close to everything but you can stay right there on the beach if you want the privacy and peace and quiet. There is a large BBQ that we cooked on several nights and could not have had a better stay while there. We also hired a cook to come in and prepare our dinner one night. I highly recommend doing this. It was wonderful!! We cannot say enough about the property managers and Tulio that lives right there on the property. Everyone is so nice, friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this property and will definitely be back to visit again next year!!

Our large family of 10, 6 adults 4 children under 12 Loved Condo Cervantes! It was in the perfect location. We had the sea, the pool, wonderful accommodations for everyone. Debbie was easy and the best to work with. We would definitely recommend this property! ( altho we want to keep it a secret!) There are too many activities and attractions to even begin. We did a different activity each day but at "home" before and after was wonderful , plenty of play time, drinks and relaxation was enjoyed by all. We did a lot of our own cooking which is perfect, because taking that many people of different ages out to eat would be hard! There were no problems except that we didn't want to leave. New York City If you are going to Roatan for a week or more, you should read this: Left on Mar 3, 2018 for a stay in Feb 2018 This condo on Roatan is the best for its location and bang for your buck if you are traveling with some friends. It is a spacious open-concept living situation. You are a short walk (a couple minutes at best) to a very active beautiful beach with plenty of bars and restaurants. But the best thing is, you don’t really need to leave the condo’s beach, as you have your own private beach right in front of you. You can’t go too deep, as seaweed does start to develop, but when you are in the Caribbean, floating in waist deep water is paradise. Ok, the condo. It is beautiful. We were only 2 families (mom, dad, and a kid toddler each), so my wife and I used the master suite upstairs (amazing view of the ocean for sunset), and the other largest bedroom on the main floor was used by our friends (nice bed with private bathroom). The other room we never used, except for massages, which are around 30 dollars an hour. Overall, this place is an amazing find for Roatan, as everyone who walked by coming from the main strip asked how we got the place. The cherry on top is if you like snorkeling. Many places along the beach you can swim out, and see beautiful reefs and fish (what Roatan is all about). I don’t usually return to another place twice as the world to too inviting, but if I had to go back to Roatan, I would contact Debbie (the owner) right away. Patrick

A rundown rental unit! The employees that support the rental unit are all wonderful and try to maintain the condo we believe the best they can. We know it is Roatan, but we have stayed in other rentals that have been very well maintained, and have been extremely happy. We feel we were taken advantage of, and did not get what we paid for. We see there have been recent good reviews and simply do not understand that! For example, the top level deck chairs were grossly rusted, and would break if you sat on one. There were rust chunks falling all over the deck floor making it not nice to walk on. We sent photos of the deck furniture to the owner and were told they would be "replaced". Little good this was to us for our two week vacation. The kitchen was "okay", but the flatware, can opener, other items were all rusted, holes in the ice cube trays etc. depicting overall low maintenance. All of the bathrooms should be completely gutted. There was no shower head in the main floor bathroom when we arrived, just a pipe coming out of the wall, the toilet seat was broken. The taps in the master bath suite fell out while trying to shower the second day, John the nice maintenance man came in and did his best to patch up what we had so that we could use it, however the shower is sub par for what you are paying. The ceiling in the dining area leaks which causes the light and ceiling fan not to work. When we arrived there was a piece of tape on one of the switches so that we could not use dining area lights due to previous leaks and lack of electrical repairs. During our stay the problem got worse and none of the lights or ceiling fans in the dining area, living room and stairway to the second floor would work. If you tried to reset the breaker sparks would fly. We contacted the owner Debbie and were told that the problems are being looked into. If that is the case don't rent out the unit at a premium rate when it is not a premium property. During our 2 week stay the power went out on the island, something that is common, not a big deal however when the unit you are renting does not have power and you look around and see that other six units in the building do have power because they are hooked up to the backup generator and your unit is not, you feel kind of cheated. As it turns out the owner has chosen not to be attached to the backup generator. We would not rent from this owner again, ever.

The home-owner is a wonderful person who will do everything possible to make the stay enjoyable and user-friendly. The house is located near Gumbalimba Park and just around the corner from West Bay. It is a tasteful and efficient home that combines the rustic beauty of the Island with all the amenities of the US. The house is fully furnished with AC and TV/games for the kids. The view from the master bedroom can't be matched anywhere on the Island: it's as if you are in the trees and can reach out and touch the water. Outside, the house is located right on the beach. The dock near the house makes it a perfect place for Scuba Diving pick-ups and drop-offs and water-taxis are a very cheap, affordable way to tour other parts of the Island. It isn't uncommon for vendors to stop by and offer fresh fish, shrimp, or lobster from their morning catch. When you are done swimming, there is an outdoor shower that makes it real easy to clean off your children before entering the house. Roatan is a magical, friendly Island with wonderful people. This house enhances that reputation and will make your trip all the more memorable.

Location could not have been better steps from a pool & beach, as well as the many shops and restaurants.The home was beautiful/comfortable. Everything to make our stay away from home perfect and memorable! Travelling 4 adults, 1 child, 1 infant We highly recommend as very family friendly and hope to return again!

Our stay at Casa Cervantes was incredible from beginning to end. Working with Debbie in advance of our trip was easy. She was very responsive to all of our questions and helped arrange our transfers to the condo (2 flights and 1 ferry arrival). The team on the island were cordial, friendly, and extremely helpful. Upon our arrival, we got a detailed tour of the house and were given a local phone. The kitchen was well equipped with all the necessities to feed our group of 8 adults/children. There was plenty of drinking water as well. The rooms were spacious with comfortable options for the small kids. The AC provided a great reprieve from the heat and allowed for us to have the best sleep while we were there. The pool outside our villa was perfect for the kids. The location cannot be beat. A few steps from West Bay, we could enjoy the best beach on the island without the hustle and bustle of vendors and tourists. The check-out process was easy as our driver arrived and we were greeted by John and Kevin for a friendly farewell. We learned a day later that we left prized item (my sons teddy bear!). With a quick call to Kevin, he put it on the afternoon ferry to La Ceiba where we were staying. The location of Casa Cervantes and the incredible service provided by Debbie and her team cannot be surpassed. You know its a good time when you're already planning your next trip while you're on vacation!!

The property is well taken care of and in the perfect location. Close to all the restaurants but removed enough that you feel secluded. The caretaker took us out on a couple snorkel/fishing expeditions. The beach is great for playing and the snorkel just off the house is as good as any in the island. Owner will change a few shower heads that need to be replaced. Very well equipped house!
