Very nice location

No Aircon, no Timble dryer, no cleaning brush for braai, need more Towel like carpets for rain. Lots of things were rusted

Location was great. Apartment was clean and comfortable. Cleaner was friendly,quick and efficient. Semi private beach was great in Dec/Jan when the other beaches were packed.

Only one shower - convert the ensuite to a bath/shower. No internet and no smart TV to hotspot and watch Netflix, showmax or Disney. Towels a bit threadbare. Living area and decor dated.

The property was very friendly,beach few steps away with excellent scenery, sea views from the balcony as well as a pool near by. The area is so tranquil.

The apartment though was very hot especially at night when the doors are closed. We suggest air conditioners or quality fans instead of the coolers that they have( coolers are very small as compared to the area or space of the apartment.

WiFi could be added given it is essential in today's world and for added value and at price etc. Visitors to united being hired out should be allowed, especially if for a lunch or get together, of course, provided it is within rules of the establishment.

I made my own breakfast. Keys were collected at the gate from the security. Apartment is Very close to the sea and private beach

The monkey got in the house even though the burglar door was closed (Locked). I think we need a mesh type of burglar with smaller holes. (Not a train smash as we saw it only when it was running out with bananas)

The view was amazing and the facilities (pool and whale viewing deck) were a welcome treat.

Nice, clean apartment

The best beach view in Ballito! Love direct access to the semi-private beach. Second time we’ve booked at Santorini. Different apartments, but same spectacular view. Loved the pool area and ability to cool off in the pool after a hot day at the beach. Direct access to Thompson Beach and tidal pool near tennis courts also awesome. Tiles throughout - clean and neat.

Needs some minor maintenance work. Some appliances weren’t working. Had no bath towels the first day, but agency sorted it out very quickly.

We dealt with Candice from Ballito Agencies - very helpful. Good communication on what was needed and when payments would be taken. Candice made it clear that the apartment has several items that are needed but not provided, so we could plan accordingly. All personnel we dealt with at the complex were helpful and polite. Access to the beach in front of complex is clearly signed and gates to this and also Thompson's Beach worked well.

The flat does state it doesn't have air-con and it doesn't have Wi-Fi - the lack of WiFi, mentioned as lacking in past reviews should be changed, all other adjacent units have it. Likewise the ducted aircon that it is stated is not working can be replaced by portable condenser units (the white fans are available but not as effective). Peeling paint and a stained bathroom ceiling, with missing window blind, a cracked window pane, locks on the sash windows that are broken - these all point to a unit that is just not looked after enough with many visitors and the north coast climate. There was no double sheet so we removed the duvet from the cover, it was yellowed and stained - replace it. This is a unit that relies on the view, which lets face it is amazing, but the unit is not. Finally, the beach in front of the unit is not a private beach, there is no such thing in SA, it is a secluded public beach which is freely accessible to anybody through the 'Hole In The Wall' and a rock scramble. However it is lovely to walk on, but with the swell and rocks it is not a safe swimming beach, for that rather walk around, or use the other gate access to the Thompson's Beach which during most days has a lifeguard and safe sandy bottom or use the tidal pool 'Charlie's pool' which also has some coral and fish in for safe and kid friendly snorkelling.

Best and only thing was the location and views.

The staff when we arrived were not helpful and gave us a page with instructions with no comments on facilities etc. The unit is in a poor condition. there is damage to almost all the doors and windows. Not aircons and fans don't really work. You have to sleep with the doors and windows open due to the heat, but we had visitors the one morning when a troop of monkeys were in the unit. The electrical is not compliant, the light in the one bathroom made a noise when switched on as if there were wires touching. The unit was not clean when we arrived and we had to instruct the cleaners to clean certain items like the cupboards. The couches in the living area also emitted a strange odour. The unit is old and has not been updated in many years. We will not stay here again even if it was for free.

It’s so annoying when a property leans solely on its location and doesn’t bother to do maintenance that makes a holiday more enjoyable. The Aircon doesn’t work. They’ve attempted to rectify this with portable Aircon’s that do not work!! Ballito humidity even on a cool weekend was unbearable. the shower roof needs a a paint. The bathroom mats are disgusting. The kitchen equipment is limited. The couch is a grubby. The outside table was in a shocking condition. plastic tables cost a small price, if you need to replace them every six months then do that. The light fixture, kitchen stools and windows are all rusting, we were so disappointed as my family from the UK were out, and it was embarrassing. yes things take a toll when living by the sea, but this needs to be taken into consideration when signing up to take peoples money

The views and location was superb. Right on the beach and close to the swimming pool.

The fact that there was no wifi. It was very windy at times and it sounded like the windows was not strong enough to withstand the weather , but luckily it did.

The views are amazing. The private beach is great, also easy access to Thompson Bay swimming beach. Braai facility good. The rooms are very spacious. The little beach chairs that one can use while chilling at the beach was a nice touch. Close to all amenities. Overall great stay.

No wifi. The dishwasher was not working properly. Having to buy own dish cloths and dish washing liquid was an inconvenience.

Apartment could do with a furniture update

The chalet was not up to my standard, the furniture was in a shocking state, stained couches, the material on the dining room chairs are peeling, the doors need sanding down and repainting, the ceilings in the bathroom need attention, just felt cold and not cozy, no special touches to make it look nice, bottom line this apartment is not maintained upgraded, just neglected, even the outside table was old. the view was amazing that's about it. I won't be staying there again. thank you.

We loved the view and that we were close to the beach gate.

The aircon did not warm up the room. The sliding door was a mission to open. It would have been better if there was internet/free wifi.

Each room has sea views which are just breathtaking !! the sound of the ocean in the unit is priceless. Access to Thompson's beach from within Santorini is really cool. Private beach is stunning Prime location and value for money! The most memorable part of our stay was watching a family of dolphins riding waves, jumping out of the water on the morning before we were leaving. What a blessing and they were so close, we didn't even need binoculars!! We will definetly be staying there again. To cater for loadshedding, be sure to bring some travel lights i.e. we had no power for 1 day and a half (stolen power cables) our lights came handy.

Rooms and bathrooms didn't smell so fresh, that damp smell...so we're were constantly spraying perfume.

the private beach part is absolutely perfect.
