Such a nice cozy property to relax in. Great view, with everything you need to feel at home. Property owners could not have been nicer, more attentive, and thoughtful! Depot Bay is great, in between, and close to Newport and Lincoln City.

The house is cute, it’s like staying at your grandmas house with all the collectibles and notables the plants add a real homey feeling. View is great, restaurant across the street is excellent. Only complaint is the restaurant next door, but gets quiet pretty early

We've stayed here several times and it never fails to make us happy! Easy in and out, wonderful caring landlord, ocean views, and across the street from our favorite place to eat! This place is a bit funky, like the landlord, with lots of non-designer furnishings and a strong beach vibe. All the pots, pans, and kitchenware you need, but also lots of carry-out menus for all of the places nearby to eat. We'll definitely be back!

This condo/house was so comfortable we felt we were at home. We didn't lack for anything during our stay. Usually there are things we think "it would be nice if there was...."That thought never came up once in the week. The sofa and loveseat were cushy, bed downstairs perfect (we didn't use the upstairs bedrooms), bathroom was well lit with a ten bulb light bar!! There were two recliners which was unusual and greatly appreciated. They had binoculars available to use to search the ocean for whales. There was a bbq and Blackstone grill conveniently right outside the door with a bench and chairs so you could eat outside if desired. We also appreciated having a carport for the car. There are windows across the whole front of the unit and with all the mini blinds open the view was beautiful and the space was really bright. A new washer and dryer which we did not use is available. The place is filled with entertainment options such as games, puzzles, dvds. WiFi was ok.There is a one bedroom apartment downstairs for rent on the property too. All in all a great stay.

We have stayed here several times before and the property is always in great shape. There were even some upgrades made since we were here last summer. The place was clean and well furnished. Location is excellent and the view of the bay is super. We saw whales every day except one, when the weather was foggy. Probably be back next year.

Every morning we sat with our coffees and whale watched. The Zodiac boats would come out of the harbor and guide you right to the whale spouting. There is a telescope there and we could watch the whales and see the sea-loins sitting on the bouys in the inlet. View and location were the highlights for us. The unit is very spacious. It is a little tired and needs some PM and a little TLC. The king bed is ready for an update. We feel you could not get a better view anywhere like we had considering we were not directly on the ocean front. The unit had everything we needed for our week in Oregon. Walt was available and immediately attended to our needs when we asked for something. We had a great time here and if you have a large family that would be a great place for you to stay. It does only have one bathroom but you can work out the logistics when needed. We only touched a little of the Oregon coast hopefully we can come back again.

I hate to be negative about this VRBO because the place is fine and the views are terrific. But, it's next door to a restaurant that has Karaoki nights at the weekend and the boisterous singing goes on until 11pm ... right under the master bedroom window

The house was very nice and clean. Depoe Bay is right between Lincoln City and Newport which is really nice. We traveled the 15 minutes to Lincoln City many times throughout the week. The view of the ocean from the house is awesome. We had some wifi issues when we got there, but Walt came ASAP to get it figured out. There are a couple cameras outside that aren't listed in the description. Personally, I don't particularly like feeling like I'm being watched. I might not have booked if I had known. They for sure watch them closely too. The first night, an extra friend came to stay for a couple nights and I woke up to a message from Walt about it the next morning. The other thing is that there are a lot of plants inside and outside. The welcome instructions specifically say not to water the plants because they're temperamental. Walt stopped by multiple times to water the outside plants. One time he even continuously knocked until the door was answered so that he could water the plants inside the house. I suspect it was also to check in on us. All but one of us were out at the time. If we had all been gone, I'm not sure if he would've entered the house or not. I'm wary of giving 3 stars because of his previous responses to ratings less than 5 stars but I feel like everyone should know what they're getting themselves into. If these things don't bother you though, it's worth the stay.

We were close to town shops, had nice views of Bay and saw whales, bed and furniture were comfortable, place had binoculars, telescope for whale watching, games, movies, kitchen supplies for cooking, extra blankets, etc. We were provided with brochures, maps, restaurants, parks and places to go nearby. We had a great time and highly recommend it!

We loved staying here. It was old fashoined total comfort. The views from the front windows was fantastic. Could walk to restaurants and shops. Would definitely do it again.

Absolutely gorgeous view of the coast and very comfortable place to stay! My longtime friend and I traveled from Iowa looking for a low-key Oregon coastal town with stunning seaside views. This townhome In Depoe Bay is a gem! One of the most perfect spots to sit back, relax, enjoy some great coffee from one of the local coffee shops, and just stare off into the ocean. We enjoyed countless breathtaking views and ocean side walks expanding from Lincoln City down to Newport. Lots of wonderful local gift shops and superb restaurants in the area. We will definitely be keeping this place in mind when we head back out to the west coast for a quiet place to unwind. Thanks again, Walt and Vicki!

This is an older home that has everything you could want or need exactly where you want it to be! The view is unbeatable and the house was very comfortable. The owners have really thought of everything, no detail is forgotten. It was so nice to be able to cook and enjoy meals while looking out at the gorgeous view.

This was an amazing experience and we hope to do it again. Watching the waves and being able to relax in a clean rental was amazing!

I loved this place for a week long stay. It is right across the street from a stunning ocean view where the water comes in at every angle when the ocean is active. It has 10 windows to see the great view! It is less than 1/2 mile walking to the strip where all the stores are and where everybody comes to watch whales. The place had everything I needed. The couch and bed were very comfortable. It was just wonderful! I plan to return again and again. I saw 1 whale from the dining room and it is not an active whale season at all.

View is fantastic. Central location. Easy walk to coffee shop and restaurants. Our 3rd stay and will be back.

Somehow I missed that it was across 101 from the water. The stereo was nice for music so the traffic sounds weren't bad. There is everything you'd need for a comfortable and entertaining visit. Great food across the road and wonderful views from the living room. Four adults had a great time here. We took some lovely walks and drove to some beautiful beaches nearby. It's a very nice vacation spot and we are leaving refreshed and relaxed!

We've stayed here before and, as usual, found it to be very convenient and comfortable. We did have a problem with the toilet, but Walt took care of the problem as soon as we notified him. The weather wasn't conducive for whale watching the first couple of days, but once that cleared, we were able to spot whales daily. We'll be sure to book this property again when we're at the Oregon coast.

Well stocked kitchen. The view from the dinning table allows you eat and watch the harbor at the same time. From large screen TV to board games it’s all there. Front room furniture has been well used and one recliner is now just a rocker. The king bed in the downstairs bedroom was quite comfortable. Only one bathroom for three bedrooms. For a couple it makes for a nice get-a-way.

All the comforts of home. Responsive communication from hosts. Friday & Saturday noise from the restaurant next door was unsettling, but they are planning to replace windows on the bedrooms facing the business with sound proof windows. Very comfortable.

We absolutely enjoyed our five night stay at this location! The house was perfect, clean, and in a great location for all of the things that we wanted to do while we were on the coast. If and when we get a chance to do this vacation again, we would definitely stay here again! The whale watching was absolutely spectacular! Right from the kitchen and living room windows, the city sidewalks… Just about everywhere!!!

This property is well cared for and has everything you need. The location can’t be beat. The windows across the entire front and the deck give you the perfect opportunity to whale watch! Telescope, binoculars, games, books, and movies are provided so there is something for everyone.

We got up every morning and watched the ocean right across the street. We had a small ant problem in one spot of the house, so we bought ant traps and took care of it. The other items we bought for the house we left. The only drawback is the Chinese restaurant next door. It also has a lounge and features live music so there were a few times it was a bit loud. The patrons sitting outside smoking were loud also. Otherwise, it was a good place to stay. Would stay there again.

We just loved our Oregon visit. Depoe Bay is a wonderful and beautiful place. Walt's place was a great home base to go see other places. The wall of windows were the best part. Could stand there looking out all day! The place was clean and homey and Walt was available if we needed anything. Enjoyed the fireplace and walking around town. Seafood was awesome. If you're looking for a great place to stay this is it. We stayed there June 2022 and were lucky enough to see Orcas which is very unusual for this time of year. The weather was incredible 50s and 60s. I would visit Oregon again in a heartbeat!

Walt’s home was clean, thoughtfully and thoroughly-provisioned, and very comfortable. It was really nice to have the binoculars Walt provides for his guests’ use, as the view is wonderful. We would recommend the home for a couple or small family who needs just one bathroom.

Owners were awesome, property clean and welcoming. We had no problems and will be back next time we are in area!
