The location of this property is idyllic, the property was immaculate, the help/chef/staff made this one of the best trips ever. No one in our group of 9 had a complaint. The pool was great, and when not in the pool the kids snorkeled in the ocean. The location was safe and off the beaten path. San Pedro was right down the road. Our chefs, can I say enough about our chefs? The adults went out to eat 1 night in total, and while we were eating we all came to the agreement that Haydee and her gals meals blew the restaurant out of the water. Peggy was easy to talk to and had a answer for every question. Belize and Ambergris Caye were everything we imagined they would be and more. The guide (Carlos) was fantastic as was his help staff. The bedrooms and bathrooms were immaculate and the AC was wonderful. I would say we almost had too much fun.

We had a family of 8 stay at the house, and we all fit very comfortably, and had such a nice trip. The main house (upstairs) had two bedrooms (one with an en-suite bathroom). The downstairs had three bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. The outdoor space and Haydee and her team was what made this house epic. The pool area, and the view of the ocean was incredible. Plenty of lounge chairs and seating for our whole group. We found that the view from this house was much nicer than other areas on the island. Haydee made some incredible meals for our family, and we all agreed that her food was much better than the times we opted to eat out at a restaurant. She was also so kind, and willing to help with any questions. We took 3 trips with Suya tours, who picked us up directly from the dock at the house, so it was very convenient! Haydee arranged for the owner of the company to come meet us and go over all of the trips they offer. One note - if you have specific days you want to go on a tour, it may be best to call Suya tours in advance to schedule. We were there at a busy time, so our options were limited as far as what days we could do certain things (but we still got to do everything we wanted to). It was about a 10-15 minute golf cart ride into town. We rented two carts and they had them at the house waiting for us when we arrived. We walked into town a couple times, but it's about 2 miles, so it's a bit of a trek, but we wanted to get our steps in! Great Trip!

I went to Belize to celebrate my birthday with 8 others. This villa was the highlight of the trip! It looks just like the photos, the location is stunning, and everything you need is taken care of. Haydee and the staff met us weary travelers with Pina coladas and fresh guacamole by the pool and we knew we had picked the right spot! All of the food was incredible and fresh. The pool and the beach were perfect. We rented golf carts to visit town and go on runs for paletas. And Carlos from Suya Tours took great care of us with an all day snorkel and beach BBQ trip and a sunset catamaran cruise. Best birthday ever and I miss it already. Highly recommend!!

If you are considering renting this house, DO IT!!!! The location is absolutely breathtaking, with a gorgeous private beach, and the house has a ton of character; it was so wonderful to have our entire party, 11 people, in one place and even better that everyone had their own bathroom. I would have to say that the highlight of our stay was Haydee and her staff. Our group did not want for anything during the week we were at Casa Tortuga; the food was incredible and the service was five star. We had golf carts waiting for us upon arrival and we booked excursions while sitting next to the pool. Peggy was also so helpful and very responsive during the booking process. We had the trip of a lifetime and Casa Tortuga was so much better than any resort.

Plenty of rooms and a great piece of oceanfront beach to chill. Chef staff was amazing!

My family and I loved it. Everything about this place was amazing from the staff the ocean views, the cleanliness of the house, and so much more. We would for sure stay here again! Also, the location was great!!

Amazing experience all around. Delicious food from Haydee, Claudia, and Sonia at every meal ! Great excursions. 6 kids between 11 and 15 had a blast with all the beach activities. We had an amazing time !!!

We needed a place to accommodate our family for a getaway over Thanksgiving. 8 adults (ages 34 to 71) and 3 kiddos (ages 2, 4 and 7). Casa Tortuga was perfect in every respect. The host was very responsive and helpful, the staff was very personal and accommodating, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the home-cooked meals were awesome! We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We booked this as a very special family trip. We had 10 adults and 1 infant (who was an unexpected but joyful addition) for the week. Casa Tortuga is a magnificent property and well maintained. Lots of gathering spaces outside as generally too warm to be inside… and who wants to be inside with this view! Haydee and staff who prepare meals and services make this VRBO spectacular!! You won’t want to miss a meal and they were so accommodating for several dietary restrictions in our group. They also helped with our baby Brooks during meals! We ate out once and learned it would not compare to chef prepared meals. We used the games on the beach and coordinated excursions with Suya Tours who were also the BEST! This was a memorable time and lives up to an UNBELIZEABLE vacation. You will want to bring bug spray or mosquito coils as evenings are very buggy.

The house was great, as advertised. The pier our front was perfect for our charter captain to pick us up. Lots of time spent in the hammocks, playing corn hole and of course hanging in the pool. Haydee and her cooks did an amazing job with every meal. Wish the stay could have lasted longer.

We had a wonderful family vacation. There were 9 of us and the property provided plenty of room and beautful views. Peggy, property manager, was very helpful leading up to the trip and the on-site staff was amazing. Haydee, Sonia, and Claudia prepared wonderful meals and adjusted times to meet our excursion schedules. Haydee also assisted us with ferry tickets, local places to visit, and directions around the island. The staff was personable, kind, and went out of their way to insure we had a fabulous stay at their property.

My friends and some family all stayed here for a week to celebrate my 35th birthday. Belizeans are very friendly people and we had no problem getting a van that could fit all of us with our luggage for the short drive to the house. Staff greeted us and had food about ready for us. Haydee, Sonya and Claudia took care of us the entire week and we couldn't have been happier to have them there. This allowed for a true vacation where we could relax and we convinced them to have fun with us to hang out the night of my birthday, which was super sweet. DO NOT FORGET MOSQUITO REPELLANT! This is called mosquito coast for a reason! If you do so happen to forget, we were able to pick more up on the golf carts they conveniently had on the property. I didn't check pricing, but compared to daily rates i saw with no haggling involved, renting the carts with their weekly rate was the way to go. The rooms upstairs can get a little warm with all of the beautiful windows, but that's to be expected. The A/C units they have in each room work very well. I slept comfortably every night until the last night when there was no breeze. Wind will keep the mosquitos away and considering we were there for the summer solstice in the warmer season, it was actually quite nice having the seabreeze. Carlos met us at the property the evening we came in. We did two excursions with his daughter, Roan and Isreal on the catamaran. Again, just amazing, kind people!

We absolutely loved Haydee and her ladies cooking amazing meal after meal! Don’t think I will travel again without arranging for and in house cook. House and grounds were well kept and we enjoyed our stay. Carlos with SUYA tours kept us busy and the strong ocean breeze helped with the heat and mosquitos.

Casa Tortuga was perfect for our trip with two families. Haydee, Claudia and Sophia were the best and the food was outstanding. We will be back!

We absolutely loved Casa Tortuga! No one wanted to leave! Accommodations and food were top notch! Haydee and Claudia are what make the experience from excellent to outstanding! The meals they cook are the signature amazing! My family agreed that Haydee and Claudia were the rose of our vacation! Do not underestimate what they do….to eliminate the ..what time,where, and what to eat makes your vaca so much more relaxing ! You will not be disappointed!

Everything was amazing! Beyond expectations. The people of Belize are exceptionally friendly. Loved the neighborhood, the house is spectacular. From the pool to the dock to the wonderful meals to the cleanliness, Casa Tortuga fit our family needs—8 adults and 5 children (ages 9 and under). Haydee and her crew accommodated our food allergies and even baked an egg-free birthday cake for our celebration. Carlos arranged all of our excursions, making that easy for us. We had a wonderfully spring break!

We thought the meals were the best we have ever had on vacation. It was awesome not to have to think about shopping, cooking or cleaning during our vacation. The house staff were personable, available and nonintrusive. The house had a lot of character. The tours we took were all great- snorkeling twice, cave tubing, zip lining, sunset cruising and some went to the ATM cave. We were not able to swim at the house but would take the golf carts to Secret Beach. This was one of our best vacations.

A wonderful place with an incredible staff. They are the best cooks on the island and it took so much pressure off knowing they had everything taken care of. San Pedro has not be taken over by tourist and development like many other places you might consider. Very authentic feeling and friendly people. Give yourself some extra time with the trip to San Pedro and the snorkeling should be required bc it was so incredible. Great trip!

The property does not disappoint and the service was incredible. We were totally spoiled with Haydee and her team who took such good care of the ten of us. The food was incredible!!!! I think that this was the best property on the island and can not wait to come back.

I stayed at Casa Tortuga for my 40th birthday celebration and it was AMAZING! I will say the ONLY negative was being so far from some of the excursions. Haydee and her staff were absolutely wonderful! The food was great! They really went above and beyond for me and my friends! I will definitely stay here again. Felt like a hidden gem!

Had the most amazing week at Casa Tortuga! Our entire family had a wonderful vacation and Haydee and Claudia made that happen. They prepared 3 meals a day, cleaned, shopped, helped to make fishing trips happen and taxis to the airport. The place is exactly as pictured and more. Golf carts are a must and it is great fun to travel the island all week by them. If you are a tired Mom who wants a vacation too, this place is for you! The only thing I wish we had gotten were floats for the pool. Next time!

The house was spacious. Everyone had their own room and bathroom. We were picked up at the pier for excursions. Haydee was prompt with meals. We ate lunch elsewhere. Very safe. Unfortunately all the beaches have litter. The pool was really nice but no heater so it was not really useable in December. We enjoyed hanging out at the house. Get lots of golf carts. It’s a pretty bumpy ride in to town. Haydee handled that for us. The house was really great for our family with a toddler. Communication with Peggy was great.

Everything was absolutely amazing. The host was responsive and accurate. The Chef is worth every penny. The food prepared was above all expectations. Suya tours was fantastic on our outings and events. Nothing could have been better.

We had the most amazing experience staying at Casa Tortuga. This was my 3rd time to San Pedro and the food has always been good, but Haydee and her crew blew our minds with their meals. We even requested repeat dishes. The Villa was beautiful and clean. We are already planning our next stay.

This place is simply amazing. Each room is like its own suite and the beds are so comfortable. The grounds and pool are kept beautifully! The dream was the staff on site and the chef with her helpers. Each meal was the best we had had on the island (we have been here a month and tried places from the furthest north end to the south!) The tables were gorgeous, everything was to the dot on time. We couldn't have been happier. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

This rental was everything advertised and more. The location was perfect for our family, the house was large enough to accommodate everyone, Maria and crew prepared the most amazing meals, and Carlos arranged incredible tours.. Cannot recommend this house enough!

11 of us, 2 families with 7 kids ages 18 to 20. Properly was beautiful and so clean. Haydee the cook prepared wonderful meals and were some of the best on the island! Rent the golf carts! And rent the guest house for a large group. So glad we did!

We loved the layout of the property and Maria was definitely the highlight of our trip. Carlos and his team specifically Raul made our excursions very memorable. The only negative comment I have is that the rooms, especially the bathrooms need some renovations and uplift and all hardware needs to be updated. We ran out of hot water very quickly during showers. Overall, the house is awesome and was very easy to get around town in the golf carts.

Communication from the beginning of the booking all the way up until arrival time with Margaret was phenomenal. I had a lot of questions and she had all the answers, was patient and informative. Maria and her team were absolutely amazing. Every meal was prepared with love and care and was always delicious. It was also great to be at eating breakfast and coming back to an already cleaned room and bathroom. They were all helpful and so welcoming. I brought in decorations for my husbands 40th birthday and while out on a sunset catamaran tour Maria and her team decorated and had dinner ready upon our return. I can’t stress how much Maria and her team helped make this a great trip. The view from the property is gorgeous. Amazing sunrises and sunsets. The property is gorgeous as well. We were a little disappointed that we could not enjoy the beach front at the property due to all the seaweed in the water. But we did a tour to Secrets Beach to enjoy the beautiful water there. We had some issues with ants in the rooms as well but Maria and her team were working hard trying to get rid of them. The golf carts were a great addition to be able to go out and explore the town. We used them a lot. We were ate up horribly by mosquitoes and sometimes ants so be prepared for that. If you can pack a citronella candle in your bag, do it! Off spray wasn’t helping. Overall it was a great trip and we would definitely come back to see Maria again.
