We were pleasantly surprised by this cabin. Pictures definitely do not do it justice. Tucked off into the woods with a beautiful waterfall just 100 yards from it, its the perfect peaceful getaway. The cabin comes stocked with everything you could think of, from games to movies, blankets, and all the dog amenities you could imagine! We never lacked. The best little surprise was the dog toys! The cabin is also conveniently located to town and food. We would definitely stay there again.

What a fabulous step back in time with all the modern conveniences you need. We arrived to a beautiful well thought out cabin it was so cozy & comfortable. We had everything we needed & great directions to get firewood for the fireplace. We spent nights by the fireplace drinking coco & playing games, listening to records on the record player. Great collection of records. We watched the deer play in the stream and had a magical stress free stay. The beds were comfortable and the quilts were cozy & warm. We can’t wait to come back& melt our worries away again. We loved our stay and made great memories. This cabin really felt magical for our family we all felt the love & joy it holds.

Wonderful, peaceful, pretty surroundings. Place is very nicely kept. You feel like you're at home. When we first got to the gate, of course the code didn't work, but a young man came out of the office and helped us. But also informed us that kids were coming ( we never realized it was a private kids camp) We didn't see that on any of the write ups. And he told us we needed to stay in our cabin because of that. Well, we didn't and we never saw any kids! A bit weird but we loved it there!

The cabin is so near a waterfall that you can hear it from the screened in porch, and is conveniently close to Dahlonega. Nice and clean - very pleasant.

I had a wonderful time staying at Hal and Audrey's cabin in Dohlenega. The cabin was clean, cozy, and quietly situated within a Retreat Center (that was closed for the remaining year). Cane Falls is just about 200 yards away, and the trails are beautiful. It's simply a peaceful area, but only two miles from the town center of Dahlonega. I feel very grateful to have found this VRBO!!

Relaxing weekend. Played some old vinyl and loved it. Will definitely return.

Beautiful serene location. Super cozy cabin with historic charm, gorgeous fireplace, comfortable beds, and the perfect screened-in porch. Less than 10 minutes from restaurants, coffee shops, gold mines, and everything else Dahlonega has to offer. Absolutely loved it!!! Oh, and of course, the falls!!! Gorgeous!

Favorites of this property are the nearby waterfall, screened porch and proximity to downtown and attractions! Would definitely stay here again. I would avoid staying in warm weather as the window units did not cool the entire house. Reminded of old homestead and family fishing camp.🎣🏡

We spent three days here, peaceful mornings sipping coffee in the comfort of the living room and exploring nearby in the afternoons. Evenings were perfectly set up for a simple meal prepared in the cabin’s simple yet well appointed kitchen. Spinning vintage vinyl and chats on the porch overlooking the creek. Relaxing, peaceful. A place set outside of the hurry of today’s world.

The 1950s cabin is just as the listing describes. We loved it. We sat in the rocking chairs in the screened in back porch each evening. Dahlenoga is a very small & cute town. We spent most of our time hiking, but did do a gold mine tour & visited the Gold Museum, & visited some of the shops. It was a quick drive from the cabin to go to town for dinner each evening. There are also several wineries in the area.

Relaxing weekend vacation with family. Restaurants within driving distance and found an swimming pool in next town over.

We had a lovely time…cabin was great. Would’ve liked to be able to hike a little more around the camp…but summer campers were there and renters not allowed to hike when summer campers are there.

Charming cabin. From the patio we watched deer come to the creek to drink. The screened porch overlooking the creek was perfect for an afternoon nap.

It was the cleanest, well-stocked, beautiful cabin we've ever been in. It was quiet with sounds of the falls in the background. The owners were wonderful and friendly in emails and calls answering our dumb questions. Beds were comfortable. I can't say all the things we enjoyed there. Thank you! We will be back.

We arrived for an annual mother/daugter stay. Gate code provided didn't work and owner did not answer from the callbox. After a few minutes the car behind us gave us a code that worked. We got to the cabin, which looked like described, and followed the instructions to access the lockbox. We tried the provided code for over 40 minutes! We tried calling and texting the owner with no response. I am 70 and we had my elderly dog (permitted) and it was 90 degrees in the shade. I know how to work a lockbox as does my 44 year old daughter that is a teacher with a Masters degree. We gave up after getting no response from the owner. On the way home, my daughter called VRBO for a resolution. They also could not reach the owner and gave us instructions on how to file for a refund. The owner sent an email the next day apologizing and saying that he would start the refund through VRBO. Imagine my surprise when he sent an email 2 days later that his housekeeper was able to open the lockbox and it may have needed lubricant so he would offer a free night instead of a refund. Really poor interaction and insulting to imply that we may not have used the lockbox correctly because his housekeeper opened it (with lubricant) two days later. Would have stayed at the property if said housekeeper would have been available with lubricant when we were sitting in the 90 degree heat. It was strange that none of the codes provided worked. So stay at your own risk and bring your own lockbox lubricant I guess

This rustic cabin was located perfectly for creek and waterfall lovers. The Porch is perfect for rocking and resting. We spent 70% of our time there. Amazing value for location.

This gem came exactly as described. Spacious cabin with all the amenities, even a record player with a nice selection of albums. Eclectic and comfy and dog friendly. The location is private and surrounded by beautiful forest just above Cane Creek Falls which is breathtaking. Overall, quite satisfied.

Cabin is very cute and in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed walking to the waterfall. Issue with gate code was responded to swiftly.

The cabin was great but falls closed for church camps was not listed. This restricted access to much of the area

I loved our stay at this cabin. We walked right out the door to see a waterfall anytime we wanted. The record player and sleeping on the porch were my favorite details. It’s very secure as you need two gate codes to enter. I will definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Unique cottage, beautiful surroundings

We had a great time. The cabin was very nice.

Very clean. Comfortable and relaxing. Close to the town square. Quiet and safe place. Enjoyed hearing the waterfall. Would stay there again.

This is my second time at this property…first time in the spring:-). Owners had the cabin ready for us and the kitchen has everything we needed. Love looking out any window and seeing the woods! The great room with fireplace is a perfect place to curl up on the couches for a movie or to enjoy the fire or to play one of the many games provided by the owners! The waterfall can be heard from the cabin and the front porch overlooks the creek. It’s a very peaceful place to stay :-) Thank you!

We all stayed Thursday night. Then teenager went to the NLC at UNG for Friday thru Sunday morning while we stayed at the cabin. Scouted the area the teen will be attending school in the fall. Then we all stayed Sunday night. It's been a wonderful, peaceful weekend for the adults!!!

We loved the little cabin. It was much more than we expected. The hiking nearby was also nice. We'll be back !!

The only problem was not receiving the correct gate code to be able to go in and out. We decided to rext the # on the back of the front door and explained the cituation. She gave us the correct #. Problem solved. The cabin is real nice, well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, towels, necessary needs. It was so quiet and restful and just what we needed. Ty so much!!

We spent an incredible 4 days at the cabin. During our stay we checked out downtown Dahlonega, Helen, and few area water falls. We also spent plenty of time on the porch watching the river and listening to the falls.. the cabin itself is rustic and charming with all the comforts of home. Can't wait to return for a longer stay.
