After being helped with our bags down the stairs by Kevin, we felt immediately at home in our snug little cottage. There were many thoughtful touches and inclusions in the equipment provided, including a jug and several trays. A delicious home made chocolate slice was also provided, typical of the welcoming spirit of Astley Cottage. Views were of the lovely olive greens of the great Australian bush,

Amazing little cottage, very cosy and quiet to come back to after a day of exploring Daylesford.

Really enjoyed our stay. Comfy bed, wood fire and anything we needed was right there.

Great location & hosts, and to bring our dogs was important for us and great property for this, very well thought after what people need, basics salt pepper bbq all great. Also the Spa is a bonus. Recommended to stay - PS go check out the Daylesford Cidery (especially week days) great place take the dogs relax wine beer cider.

Nice cottage minimal bad adequate kitchen facilities, everything was lovely centrally located between Dayelsford and Hepburn. Would stay there again

The cottage is perched halfway up a hill, so you wake up in the trees canopy. The house is compact, but the space is well organized. Contrarily to most places we've been, the sitting in the living area is comfortable (even reclining chairs!), the television is modern and of good size. The bathroom is large with a shower over the spa. We appreciated the king size bed. Because Kevin used to be a chef, we were welcomed with delicious freshly baked muffins and Eileen was able to rescue us quickly when we inadvertently locked ourselves out of the cottage.

I stayed at this property with my two small dogs. The hosts were lovely, the environment is stunning. The spa is huge, and so is the bed! Relaxing wood fire, lots to see and do in Daylesford!

The cottage was very well maintained with good amenities. The heater in the room could be a bit noisy at times, but it certainly kept me warm. The spa and fireplace were absolutely wonderful. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating.

Arrived at Astley Cottage & was welcomed by Kevin who had kindly put the heating on & offered help with my luggage. The place itself, although a bit old, had everything l needed. I appreciated the Nespresso & Weber BBQ. The fireplace was excellent as was the heating in the living & bedroom. The heated towel rack was a bonus along with the electric blanket. The town centre was not as close as l would have liked but still walking distance with my dog. The garden was steep without much sun but was interesting with all the garden ornaments. On my first day the hosts left me yummy rhubarb muffins which was very considerate. There were books to read, music & Netflix was available too. Overall it was a relaxing stay with everything thought about by the hosts. Thank you Kevin & Ellie for having myself and Boston Terrier Jet.

Astley Cottage was great. Peaceful surroundings, quaint ambience, clean, cosy, warm and everything you really need for a weekend away. Walking distance to eateries and nature paths. Our hosts Ellie and Kevin were pleasant and welcoming. The complimentary cake was a nice treat.We would definitely return there.

Great little cottage with a lovely bush setting and all the comforts you need for a great getaway. Location it was great- perfectly situated between Daylesford and Hepburn Springs. Excellent home base for local adventures. Great value for money and lovely hosts. We’ll be back!

Has everything you need for a great weekend away

Such a beautiful cottage. More than we were expecting. It is also great to be able to bring pets. So peaceful and relaxing. I highly recommend this place to anyone, in fact I already have :-)

Lovely cottage set in amazing sprawling gardens. Walkable to town shops. Great bush walks in the gullies at the rear of the property. Very friendly and experienced hosts. Enclosed winding verandah was ideal for the pup.

This is such a cute cottage with a great balcony looking out into the forest. Spa bath was fun and the bed was very comfy. Arrival muffins very much appreciated :)

Loved the Cottage, had everything you needed from the recliner chairs, comfy bed to the milk in the fridge. Will love to return one day and highly recommend to others.
