We loved our stay at this comfortable and very well equipped kiwi bach. The views are simply sensational and the location with large garden right on the lake was perfect for us and our kids. We will be back!

The house is a bit rough around the edges, but set up to maximize the view, and it is a great view of both lake and mount Tarawara. The steps to the wharf are steep, but worth it. The kayak was a lot fun to take out. Plenty of heating options to keep the house warm, and plenty of firewood to keep the fire going. House was really well stocked and had everything we needed. We didn't have cell phone reception (voda) and the house phone didn't seem to work. But there was plenty of internet. Family had a great time. Ps did I mention the view?

Kids absolutely loved the spa pool. My husband loved the fireplace. The house was well presented played and tidy fresh sheets upon arrival which was fully appreciated by the Mum.

Fabulous comfortable Bach, private and with beautiful views. The spa and wood burner were appreciated given the cold rainy weather. Exceptionally well equipped kitchen.

Great outdoor areas, spacious living space. It's a great place to relax and enjoy a piece of NZ paradise.

We could never afford to live in such a place with the views unreal!!!! but can enjoy for awhile to holiday there.

Having stayed here many about 3 time previously and never had any issues, we were astonished to be greeted with no paper or fire starters to warm up the house, and an extremely filthy kitchen with dirty dishes in the cupboards, milk still in the frother machine, and a shower with mould in every crack and crevice. Not the standard we had previously experience and extremely disappointing. We were also notified of a power cut on the Tuesday which we prepared for with early showers and many containers filled with water, however we were not prepared for the same to happen on the Thursday. Questioning the linesmen we were informed that the power was scheduled to be out for the Tue & Thu in the next 3 weeks also and that these were scheduled outages. If only we had been told of this we may have chosen not to stay at this house as it was quite an inconvenience when it happened twice during our stay with the second time not prepared for! The washing machine would not complete a full cycle on the everyday wash, the condenser dryer was full to the brim of the last users water and lint (yuck!). The dishwasher never managed to complete a full clean of all it's dishes with a lot on the bottom rack not washed at all. All of these appliances need a massive clean out. Personally I would change your cleaners as having spent a lot of time lounging on your fabulous loungers we were horrified to discover the amount of rubbish and dust lurking under each cushion and beneath the lounge suite itself. Pretty gross really and we were really disappointed as had stayed here in the past with no issues at all! Sorry to be the bearer of all this but seriously you need to sack your cleaners as they are not cleaning to even a remotely acceptable standard!

We loved the spot and dealing with Jane was super easy - excellent in fact. The size of the property offers room for everyone although upstairs in the summer was very very hot. But expect we all suffer that at that time of the year. The access to the water and having the boat on site was excellent and having our little dog there was great to.

Phenomenal location, well put together property. Well suited for a large group, very private and peaceful, great view out over the lake, great to BBQ outside as well as full kitchen facilities inside. You're 20 minute drive from Rotorua so can do all the touristy things and then escape to this sanctuary. It is by a lake so take insect repellent.

Thanks for a peaceful, relaxing week at your slice of paradise. It was just our family of 3 and our 2 x Labradoodles that enjoyed the tranquility of this property for most of our stay. Some friends joined us for the last two nights and the property catered for our needs perfectly. Unfortunately the wind was coming straight in so couldn't make use of the convenience of having the boat on the lakeside jetty but a lovely walk with the pooches to the nearby launching ramp when conditions were right. Thank you very much, it was the perfect medicine after an extremely busy 6 months in our household.

Thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay in a most tranquil setting. Great access to a special part of the lake. House well equipped and our host Jane was a fantastic communicator. Would have no hesitation in recommending this property and we look forward to returning.

This was our second time at the property and it was even better than the last time that we stayed there, will definitely be back again! So great to be able to take our fur baby away with us and to be able to get out on the lake this time with the kayak and even tried our hand at trout fishing.

Unfortunately, we were disappointed with this house. It took us a while to find it, as the house had no number and was so shabby from the outside that we didn't recognize it from the photos. Inside, it needs some TLC and a thorough spring clean. For example, all the couches were filthy - very stained and with food debris on them. The walls had smears of something pretty grotty-looking on them. The bathroom cabinets were full of old toiletries, but no hairdryer for guests. The pantry had lots of old food, some with insects and cockroaches in it. We aren't super fussy about this sort of thing (hey we have kids, so are used to a bit of mess!), but at this place the grottiness really detracted from our stay. We stayed in a number of other places during our holiday in New Zealand, most of which were close to half the price of this one, but all of them were a much better standard in terms of interior decor, cleanliness and hospitality. On the plus side, the view from this house is amazing and it's a good space for a family. But for this price, we expected a much better standard of accommodation.

This place had everything we needed for a great holiday. Loved the location, views, private jetty and beach. We made the most of the kayak and spa!

We had a lovely weekend staying at this property. Everything is so well set up and easy which makes your stay even better. The beds are made with quality linen and are cosy and warm. Ample heating and a great fire. There was plenty of space for our group, inside and out and a great spa pool. It also felt safe for our young family. Thank you very much Jane, we would love to come back.

House is well located, very clean and tidy, Great views, as it was bitterly cold and wet, the indoor fireplace was well used and the many board games provided hours of entertainment. Recommend the Bach for a relaxing weekend getaway.
