Had everything in hand and made us feel like home. The airbb had everything we needed.

The host was pleasant and accommodating at first. We ended up being delayed because of Covid once we did arrive, our stay was cut short due to unexpected intruders, AKA cockroaches in the bathroom. The house was dirty at the time of arrival and the toilet was clogged by day two. The property owner did try to resolve the cockroach issue with chemicals around the house. We have small children and that didn’t sit well with me. The toilet issue wasn’t resolved because the owners plumber wasn’t around at the time. With only one bathroom and 4 people, is was an issue. We contacted VRBO and the property owner advising them of the issues and asked for a refund as we decided at that point to leave the property. The owner only gave us less then half of a refund for only one night of staying at the property. I would not recommend staying here.

We had an amazing stay at Luis' property. Beautiful house, even more beautiful than the photos! Very clean. Luis even let us check in a bit early! Very kind owner, super cute place, you definitely want to stay here!

My family and I had a long stay here while we were visiting. We all had a fantastic stay! The host was always on hand to answer questions, very hospitable, and made sure we were comfortable. The property is very clean and has beautiful landscaping all around to enjoy. The AC's in the bedroom kept us comfortable at night. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Luis was very welcoming! We spent the week working remotely and exploring the area. Luis was helpful throughout the experience, and there was fast wifi so it worked out very well!

Pros: Mr. Luis gave us a flashlight when the power went out, washer & dryer. Cons: uncomfortable, creaky beds; filthy floor; very limited cooking utensils; finicky toilet; killed a roach and ants in kitchen; Terrible WiFi; Mr. Luis & other men worked on the house while we were there. At one point there was a man with a jack hammer breaking up concrete! They also drilled the metal railing on the second floor balcony at 8am. It felt deliberate and we have videos and pictures of this. AC only in the bedrooms. On day 1, we left the ACs on in rooms. I am Puerto Rican - my grandmother has had her house in Villa del Carmen for 50+ years. I have spent many summers in PR. I know what to expect so I booked a home with AC (as this listing indicated) nearby to her home. Mr. Luis was in the driveway upon our return. He told me I forgot to turn off the AC. I was confused & had my mom talk to him in Spanish. Her understanding from that convo was that he understood we would need to leave the ac on & it was ok. We told him we could pay extra to help cover the bill. He said no to that offer & that AC on was fine. The next day that I spent 3 hours at MedCentro (Urgent Care) for my daughter, I received a rude message from Mr. Luis telling me I needed to turn off the AC. I wrote him back letting him know I was confused b/c of what he told my mom. He said I was breaking a rule and was going to charge me extra. I looked up the rules from my booking and there was nothing about the AC. I called VRBO. At this time, I saw a note on the listing that had not been there previously about turning off the AC when not home. VRBO verified that there was nothing listed in my booking about the AC and that they could see on their end that Mr. Luis had just added that note. She also stated that he could not solicit me for additional $. I already paid in full so she could not guarantee that Mr. Luis would issue a refund. We sucked it up - shouldn’t have. We left 1 AC unit on while out where my sick daughter was sleeping so that when we got home it would be cool for her. Mr. Luis continued to send me harassing messages until the last day. He insulted me & my mother. He lied, changed his listing during our stay, was inflexible, and refused our initial ABOVE AND BEYOND offer to pay for the AC. Instead, he chose to send me awful messages and attempted to make our stay even more miserable by doing construction. I truly can’t fathom why someone would act this way.

I can see why this property is rated 5 put 5 stars. See below the reasons: -Great secured location. -Very clean, spacious and comfortable property with AC in the bedrooms and a beautiful yard. -Don Luis the owner is a wonderful very attentive host with a great heart. He will go out of his way to make sure you have whatever you need. I have 0 complaints regarding this property. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit the island. This is our 2nd stay at this property. You couldn’t ask for a more perfect host. Don Luis always goes out of his way to ensure you have a memorable experience. ¡Hasta pronto, Don Luis!

My elderly aunt, nephew and I stayed at the house for 11 days. The house is in a great location near the highways, places to eat and the Guancha. It is a nice home with plenty of room. Great breezes when you open the doors and the bedrooms are very comfortable. It has all the appliances needed including washer/dryer. The owner is very nice, accommodating and informative. The issue we had was the bathroom. The handle on the toilet stayed down if you weren't careful and the first night, the toilet overflowed and flooded the entire apartment. My nephew and I spent hours cleaning it up. The other problem was the drain in the shower. It kept getting clogged and although the owner tried a few times to unclog it, it went down very slow and we had to be careful it didn't overflow. The owner mentioned he would be getting a plumber to correct the issues while we were there but was unable to because of the holidays. Overall, I would stay again provided all the bathroom issues were resolved.

The garden was lovely. The living spaces were welcoming and the bedrooms had AC which was a plus. The bathroom shower was missing a fixture but it worked. There was some noise at night from the neighbors but not too bad. I’m still awaiting to see if the owner will refund my final nights stay since we left a day early and have him 48 hours notice. Communication during and after the stay has been difficult. I’m still waiting on his reply.

We went to Ponce, PR for a wedding at Ponce Hilton, property was located almost at the entrance! It is a nice, fresh home in a safe neighborhood near Ponce Hilton, Plaza del Caribe, Guancha, downtown Ponce and Merceditas Airport. Home is equipped with everything needed for your stay (even an umbrella). Mr. Luis Larrazabal was so attentive, he was there when we arrived to show us the home, and explain some details. The house was spot clean, beds were a little noisy but comfortable, kitchen equipped, we did not used the yard but it was very pleasant, the inner patios I love them! we felt safe and comfortable at all times.There is a bakery in the neighborhood and the fresh warm bread was really good. We really enjoyed using this home and definitely will book again next time.

We used the house for our exploration of the southern coast of the island. The home is situated a short distance from the toll road that is the main artery for car travel. It is located in a community setting surrounded by similar homes and at a short distance by car to the city center and a wide variety of restaurants. There is a large mall with various shops, including a grocery store, less than five minutes away. Apart from an occasional car passing by with a radio blaring, the setting is quiet. The bedrooms are situated in the back of the house and are air conditioned. All of the things needed for a comfortable home experience are present. For those concerned about the impact of Hurricane Maria, the phones, Internet, and electrical power worked fine. Luis, the owner, is an extremely gracious host and goes out of his way to ensure that you have everything you need for a relaxing stay. He resides on the second floor of the house but is not in the least intrusive. The beds were comfortable as were the couches and chairs. Cable TV is provided and if you are not fluent in Spanish you can find English stations with relative ease. We were very pleased with our experience and found that Ponce has a lot to offer to tourists. Our plans did not include any cooking as we wanted to taste the different foods offered in local restaurants. While there are a number of American chain restaurants in the area, our recommendation for local cuisine goes to our favorite restaurants: de Jesus and La Nueva Casa del Chef. We give highest marks both to Luis and his home and also to the city of Ponce.

We stayed from Dec 31st through Jan 19th. This property has been, by far, the most comfortable and clean rental we have used during the many years we have been using vacation rentals. It is also conveniently located in Ponce, close to grocery and mall shopping. Also has easy access to main highways in and out of Ponce. Although Luis was not available during our stay, he left a neighbor responsible for addressing our needs. Maria and her son were very responsive each time we needed their assistance. Although he was not present, Luis was accessible and communicated with us frequently during our stay. I especially enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen and having our morning coffee in his shaded backyard. Falling asleep to the sound of singing coquis was awesome. Unfortunately, the a/c in the main bedroom broke down but both Maria and Luis were on it as quickly as possible; since it was early January, sleeping with a fan was not too unbearable. Unless you just have to be super close to the beaches on the Island, best place to stay in southern Puerto Rico. You definitely need a car to get around. ¡Esperamos poder conocerlo personalmente y disfrutar una copa de vino juntos, Luis!

The place was amazing. It was comfy, spacious, clean, fast internet, great A/C, and very quiet location. The owner of the property was the best type of host you could ask for. Friendly, genuine, courteous, helpful, humble, and so much more. If I ever go back to Ponce I will not stay anywhere else but this property.
