Accommodation was everything we needed. Perfectly clean and excellent location

We were only there for 4 nights☹️ We wanted to stay longer

We were looking for a perfect place for a sisters’ vacation and we found it in Le Petit Gite Eymet! Rachel was quick to respond to any questions we had, and she and Chris were close by, once we arrived, if we needed any help. We arrived at Bergerac airport and the Gite was an easy 25 minute drive with good directions given by Rachel. We let ourselves in, following the instructions, and we were greeted with a basket of goodies, crusty bread, French cheese, jam, cookies, teas, coffee, milk and a lovely bottle of wine! How thoughtful and welcome after traveling. The Gite is about 5 minutes walk to the lovely bastide town of Eymet just across a bridge, but in a quiet country setting. The house was spacious, very clean with every amenity you could ask for and well equipped, such as iron and ironing board, dishwasher, washing machine, pod coffee maker etc. It contains a large master bedroom with king bed, as well as a smaller bedroom with twin beds, all with crisp linens. Each room has patio doors and lots of light. The patio outside was a lovely space for al fresco dining with table and chairs, sun umbrella, and a new barbecue. The brand new pool area was lovely on a hot day, with sun beds and umbrellas. The owners were meticulous in checking the pool every few days, so it was well maintained. The garden of the gite is large, fenced, and perfect for small children. There was also table tennis and badminton sets, and a hammock to relax in. There was space to bring a car through the gates for security, but we never felt the need, and just parked on the driveway. We were there the beginning of June and the weather was changeable. Rachel suggested we put on the log burning fire, and we did. It was easy to use and we were cozy and warm. On hot days we appreciated the fans supplied. It is not often you find accommodation that is as good as it looks in photos, this was better! Many thanks to Rachel and Chris.
