The apartment was very fantastic. The view for Amalfi cost and the valley unbelievable. The scene is forgetting the lots of steps which leads to Pontone apartment. At last, the owner for apartment is very kind and warm-hearted. I suggest it for everybody.
The bus service is a bit unorganized. About every 3 hours goes bus to Pontone from Amalfi

Nette Gastfamilie, die sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend ist. Unbedingt auch den Ort Pontone kennenlernen und das Hinterland. Amalfi und Positone sind sehr touristisch und immer voll. Unbedingt mit eigenem Mietwagen mit Automatik kommen, anderenfalls kosten die Bergstraßen zu viel Nerven!

The view really is spectacular
First off. If you are trying to stay in Amalfi.
Do not stay here. You have to walk down 30 minutes of stairs everyday or take a bus for 20 minutes just to get down there. Then to add on if you miss the last bus (which makes it so you can’t stay in Amalfi past 10) to go up you have to go up stairs to get there for say about 45-50 minutes of non stop stairs, extremely inconvenient. The bed felt like I was sleeping on the rocks on the beach most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Then on top of that when you pay for the apartment they toss on 70 euros for “electrical and water” that wasn’t explained before. Just to top it all off you have to stay in the apartment right above them so you can’t stay up late or make to much noise. Again the view is spectacular but I’m just not sure it’s worth it for the hassle to get up there and the price.

The place is very beautiful with spectacular view of Amalfi! There was everything we needed, fully-equipped kitchen and we were greeted with some snacks, which was very nice and thoughtful! Maria and her family were amazing hosts and we totally recommend staying with them! One of the evenings she brought us homemade frittata ❤️
It is a little bit difficult to find and there are a lot of stairs, which is typical for this destination. Maria settled our parking spot for us and we had no problem. Pontone is very small and it is located above Amalfi, there is a bus line, but all in all it is better to be with a car. If you don’t want to use transport, there were stairs leading down to Amalfi (around 15-20 minutes). Thankfully they had a lift for our luggage, so we didn’t have to carry it all the way up.
We really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely come back!

The apartment is small but we had all we needed. The view is stunning. Maria and her daughter were very helpful. Her expresso coffee with a dash of lemon and zest was delicious. The bus is convenient to go up from Amalfi centre. The stairs leading down to Amalfi centre offer good exercise and close view of the village life.
If you are told (like my husband) you need to bend your head when going to bed which is the upper part of the apartment.

The view from our apartment was amazing!! The communication with Maria was so easy before and during our stay she was always available and made sure we have all we need. The checking was super easy and hussle free. The apartment had the character we were looking for coming to Scala and had everything we needed. Maria has truly beautiful home where we felt so welcomed and only felt sad to leave so early. You feel the love they put into their beautiful house. We will definitely stay in touch with Maria and come back again.
PS. Thank you Maria for delicious lemon coffee!! We will make it again ourselves again remembering our Amalfi adventures.
Absolutely not fault of the property but we wished for better weather for May. According to locals it was very unusual cloudy and rainy. We had bad luck but now we have even more reasons to come back again.
May be a suggestion to add hairdryer in the room, but it is very minor thing and not a big deal.

Great location with beautiful views and away from the tourist centre of Amalfi. The host was exceptionally helpful and kind. The apartment was beautiful and clean.

The apartment was very clean and well equipped. The reception was also very good. They helped us with the luggage and the arrival at the village.
The localisation of the apartment is a little bit trickier. The view and the spot are amazing, but the public transportation to painting is awful. There are very few buses that go there and to get another bus you have to walk about 25 min and there is only ups and downs. So, if you are willing to walk a lot, it is ok, otherwise, be prepared.

Maria and her husband could not have been more helpful. A fantastic couple. They organised our luggage on arrival and a taxi to the airport on departure. I would thoroughly recommend this location and hosts

The apartment was very spacious and had a great outdoor space with a view of Amalfi. The facilities were also good like the washing machine and the kitchen.

Amazing place with amazing view and awesome hosts! Yes, you need to overcome many steps to go down to Amalfi, but without this you cannot have this view and silence around. Very nice and beautiful appartament inside and out. It has everything what we need.

This was the best stay ever. the property is beautiful and located just above Amalfi. It is great to be able to easily access the town but still be removed from the hustle and crowds. The apartment is cute and clean. The host was incredibly helpful with any questions, very accommodating, and even helped us book transportation. I cannot recommend enough.

We went to there at summer time, It was so hard to walk around at there. But We love there so much! And We had wonderful experience to. Host is nice and wonderful person! We enjoyed so much!

We stayed for a week and the location was everything we wanted from it. The villa is a perfect mix between local Italian and modern style. It was crystal clean and the host, Maria, is very friendly and helpful.
Of course, you need to get used to go up and down a lot of stairs, but this is Amalfi coast, if you're not getting an apartment next to the beach in main towns, you need to climb a lot of stairs :).
And the view from the balcony ... that's the best thing there. Pontone is very quiet and evenings on the balcony with a glass of prosecco or limoncello are awesome.

Maria, her family, and the community were all extreme lying welcoming. They made us feel comfortable and part of the community. Maria was extremely helpful at a answering any of our questions and was very responsive. She is one of the best hosts we’ve had. Highly recommend!!

The apartment is lovely inside and out. It was perfectly furnished for all our needs and everything felt so new.
The air-conditioning worked perfectly to combat the summer heat.
It's so peaceful to sit outside and gaze at the beautiful view in the day time and watch the stars at night.
Maria was a great host to us and did her best to make sure we were comfortable and happy with the place, which we really appreciated. She even gifted us a bag of Italian cracker snacks.
When we left, Maria arranged to have us driven down to Amalfi to catch our bus, which was very appreciated. Thank you, Maria!
Location provided by Booking is incorrect, the apartment is actually farther up the mountain where the center of Pontone is located.
The apartment has thin walls and we were woken up by loud chair dragging from upstairs/next door.
There was construction going on, but it usually ended by 5pm.
Lots of dogs barking in the neighborhood.
WiFi is pretty bad, and shared among the other apartments. We were getting anywhere from 1-4mbps normally inside the apartment, making video meetings nearly impossible. Wifi was basically absent on the terrace. When no one else was at home, Wifi speed peaked at 12mbps, still absent outside. I would recommend bringing your own pocket WiFi if you plan on coming here to do video calls for work.

It is a nice clean apartment with spectacular views of Amalfi. The owners - Maria & her husband were fabulous hosts. However the location is definitely not wheelchair friendly and if you are not in your first bloom of youth the steps are definitely a challenge - there are a lot of steps to get to the apartment. There are good restaurants nearby - again lots of steps. Also having your luggage hauled up a mountainside in a winch and basket was definitely different!! Lovely people though.
After a 7 hour drive across the mountains the steps up and down (and back up again) were a definite problem.
