I've rented this home 3 times, and every time I do, I'm equally impressed with how special it is. The space is a perfect mix of desert + modern; located on the outskirts of the town, its view from the back patio is completely unobstructed into the desert for miles. Everything is comfortable and clean, and the place evokes a perfect desert atmosphere. Our dealings with the property manager were outstanding. The best surprise occurred on our last trip, when, sitting on the back patio at night, we caught the Marfa Lights! (Trust, I didn't believe they were real until I saw them myself...) This house truly is a gem.

Beautiful house on a great piece of property in west Texas. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the weekend. Communication with the owner was great, checkin process really easy and the property was in great shape.

Despite the hot temps, Big Sky Marfa helped us find the relief we needed. Great House with a great floorplan. My wife and i enjoyed the large master and the kids enjoyed the separate rooms. The Sunset is indescribable!! There is no neighboring properties to block the west Texas sunset... Enjoy the table out in the yard!!

We went to Marfa with our children and absolutely loved the home. It backs up to large open land perfect for watching sunsets, walks and stargazing. The home is artfully decorated and welcoming with a large open kitchen perfect for cooking. Would recommend to anyone visiting Marfa.

On the edge of town, away from the lights, with an excellent view of the open prairie. Plenty of space for kitchen work and meals, and comfortable and warm bedrooms. We sould definitely book again for a longer-term stay for using as an adventuring home base and roaming around the Davis Mountains / Big Bend.

This is our second stay at Big Sky House and we love it! The views are beautiful and the house is so well decorated and comfortable. I should note that the master bedroom and bath are very spacious and the other two bedrooms are small and share a hallway bath. Otherwise, everything is perfect!

Beautiful house
This was a perfect place for spending some time with family and enjoying the Marfa area. We had plenty of space, a fantastic kitchen for cooking, great place to watch the sunsets. It was also nice to have a fenced yard for our dog. The house was clean comfortable and beautiful.

Big Sky is a gem of a house. It is beautifully decorated but in a practical way that makes it so livable. The location allowed for easy exploration of the surrounding area - Marfa, Alpine, Balmorhea, Fort Davis, and Big Bend. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Marfa Trip with Pets
Amazing dog friendly property with scenic views of the Marfa terrain. It was our first time in Marfa but when we come back we will definitely try to stay at this property. My husband and I felt right at home over the long weekend. The property - is clean, located close to town, accurate description, Nest AC, all necessary dishwater, glassware, cookware, washer and dryer, Smart TV, grill, garage, is gated, and wifi. Highly recommend this propriety

Well appointed home in a great setting. Plenty of space and just very conducive to relaxing on the patio. A great retreat after a day of exploring, and easy access to Big Bend and Fort Davis. The owner/property manager was responsive and helpful!

We had an amazing time at our stay here! We brought our two pups along. The house is spacious and gorgeous inside and out. Modern yet cozy, all the stucco and desert vibes — tall ceilings, amazingly furnished and decorated. Beds are extremely comfy and views are unmatched. The yard is large and fenced in, and both front and back porches are immaculate. Pictures really don’t do this place justice! We will be back and hopefully with a few more guests to enjoy this place. Didn’t need to contact the owner much as everything is easy to navigate and house is well equipped.

Perfect Wedding Week Headquarters
We wanted a home to "live" in for the week that led up to our son's wedding in Marfa. We wanted a home that captured the wide-open skies and views of the desert and mountains this house delivered! Everything was very comfortable, especially the spacious master bedroom and bath. The second and third bedrooms share a hallway bath. The design aesthetic has a wonderful modern Marfa vibe.

Quiet Marfa Retreat
We really enjoyed our stay here. My husband, a friend and I were in town for a wedding. The house is very cute and clean. The master is in the back away from the two other bedrooms with an en suite (large) bathroom for plenty of privacy. It has a dishwasher, which many rentals in Marfa do not. The house is walking distance from town but a longer walk (we drove mostly). I enjoyed not being right in town, it was peaceful and scenic but still super convenient. We would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed Big Sky Marfa as our home base for 5 nights while in West Texas. Thank you for such a wonderfully appointed home, we could not have asked for anything better...the home is more impressive than the photos. The location was great for the wedding we attended in Marfa, less than a mile away. Great day trips to Ft Davis, Big Bend, Lajitas golf course, Terlingua Ghost Town, Balmorhea State Park. Extra special touches like garage parking, keyless entry, awesome view of the stars on the back porch, kitchen that had everything, crisp white Parachute sheets. Thank you for hosting us! Lovely house with beautiful view
An overall wonderful experience. The house has great natural light, tasteful furniture and a beautiful unobstructed view looking out over the desert facing west offering a nightly sunset show. All three of the bedrooms were quote comfortable, and the primary bedroom was especially charming. We highly recommend this property and hope to visit it again next time we come to Marfa. Thanks!

I cannot say enough nice things about this property. Marfa is wonderful but we ended up spending a lot of time on the back porch just taking in the beautiful vista with a lovely red. This was our second time staying at Big Sky Marfa and we will definitely be back again! The house is on the edge of town so it has lovely, unobstructed sunset views. It’s very comfortable to relax, both inside and out. It had all the amenities we wanted and the host was very helpful. Our dog also loved the large yard. We highly recommend this property.

This home is so perfect that we have stayed here twice. It's the best equiped home we have ever stayed in!!! Everything you could dream of needing in the kitchen, laundry room, baths, all the way down to dedicated dog towels!!!We love "Big Sky"....we will be back again. Local Chef Riley O'Brien cooked meals in the house for us...Fabulous.....consider hiring Riley. You wont be dissapointed.
