The home is spacious, very clean, and situated for some beautiful views of the lake. We had our 2 Golden Retrievers with us and there was plenty of room outdoors for them to chase their tennis balls all day, which led to them sleeping anytime they were inside. The kitchen was large and well equipped, with plenty of seating available for family meals. Wifi and tv's were nice amenities, and used a lot. The lake was very low due to a drought, and because of how dry it was we were not able to take advantage of the fire pit, but it looked nice and we would have used it. Everyone was comfortable with the bedrooms and beds, and having linens there was a bonus. We would highly recommend this home to anyone with a fairly large family. Check in and out was simple, and it was nice that there was a book explaining the history of the home and lots of other info about restaurants and places of intetest nearby. We would definitely rent this home again.

Our church ladies group stayed here for our annual retreat. The property is great! Beautiful views, plenty of space, ample parking, and a well stocked kitchen. Easy checkin and checkout, and the property manager immediately texted back with an answer to my question. Thank you for a great stay!

The view in this house is absolutely amazing loved it. The house was nice and clean when we got there. Very easy check in. We definitely had a lot of fun at the dock and playing pool. We did loose power when we were up there due to the storm, they had a bunch of led lights so we we good until power came back on. The stove was a little hard to cook on but overall it was a great experience. 😊

We had 3 generations & 2 dogs with plenty of room. We spent everyday in the cove with the water toys. Marty & her Father were extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. I would definitely recommend this property for your summer vacation. We rented the pontoon boat, all enjoyed and the kids got to fish.

This is our 2nd time staying at this property. We loved it just as much as the first time. Perfect for family gatherings. The private yard, water access and swimming cove are unbeatable, and will keep us coming back every year! Lots of water toys to enjoy too. The lot, house and open space inside provide endless fun!

The ch check in process was easy, renting the boat at the property was very convenient, the property is gorgeous. It is a great location and the house is really cool and slept our group of ten pretty well. The house needs a bit of updating, but there is plenty of room and the pool table and other amenities were really nice. We had a great vacation. Thanks, Marty.

Very nice property

The location, the acreage, the views could not be beat! The house was clean +tidy and the grass had just been cut. All agreed that the beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room for all eleven of us. As we like to cook, it was helpful that the kitchen was fairly well-stocked and had two sets of dinnerware and silverware. The house worked out so well that we can’t wait to rent it again.

The house and property were spacious and comfortable and the on-line pictures were very accurate! The bedroom set up was perfect for our family with our grown children in their rooms and our grand-children enjoying the "bunk room" as their own! We had lots of space, the kitchen was easy for more than one person to be working at a time and we were able to add a chair to the table and all eat together (this is sometimes difficult to find for 12 people). Overall it was a great place for our family to stay! The area was quiet but yet it was convenient to get to grocery stores and we even had pizza delivered one evening! The boat rental was perfect for us and we enjoyed using it every day we were there. All of us had a great time on the floating mat and even this grandma was able to get up on it in the water. We did choose to rent a large flat tube and an inflatable "couch" to pull behind the boat (we used Sunside Rentals in Mooresville - not very close by but good to work with). This is certainly a house we would rent again!

We had our best vacation at this lake-side retreat. There were 10 of us…8 adults plus a 4 year-old and a 1 year-old. The location was perfect. The house was clean and had all of the amenities. There were kayaks, a paddle board, floats, even a large foam mat we used in the cove at the house and at a nearby island. I believe we utilized all of the water toys except for the paddle board. The island just across from the house was really nice and we spent a few days there sunning and swimming. The area and the house itself is rich in history and it was fascinating to learn about it. We opted for the boat rental. If you can swing it, you won’t regret it. It added so much to the experience being able to island hop and sight-see. Lastly, Marty was fantastic and took care of all of our needs. She’s in my top 2 of vacation rental property managers. She is only edged out by another who cooked a couple of dinners for my husband and I at a different location. Haha Just book this house already!

This is our favorite family vacation spot, and we will keep coming back. Marty and her dad are great hosts, and the property is amazing.

Gorgeous views, and great house. We slept 4 children and 7 adults very comfortably. The house is quiet! The master bedroom is perfect for a little rest from the kids. :)

We went to Lake Norman because my son graduated from Nascar Technical Institute in Mooresville, NC and decided to spend a few days at Lake Norman to celebrate him. While some may like new and shiny things this house was perfect. The lot was wonderful as well. We used the kayaks that were there for guests. The location is close to shopping if you need to run out and get something. We will be returning to this vacation spot.

We are so pleased that this home was available for rent. Plenty of space and beds. Family of six with three dogs too (thank you, Marty, for allowing the extra pup) and the spaciousness of the home and yard was so perfect. We’ve done many getaways with a dog or two joining us and this was the best! Dogs and easy access to water? Always entertaining for everyone! Haha. We all loved the waterfront location- absolutely breathtaking evening strolls along the jetty and at the fire pit. Our four teen and young adult kids loved the peaceful getaway from their schoolwork. Lots of great conversations and space for connections. Rented a pontoon boat from Westport Marina and they were awesome, and professional. Great options. We had a family Easter egg hunt on the great lawn and yard on our last day there. Not sure if we found them all, so keep your eyes peeled. 😄

Very nice and spacious house!! We were a group of 12 (11 adults and 1 child) and it never felt crowed. The view of the peninsula and the lake it is breathtaking! We really enjoyed the outside fire pit.

We had 3 generations of family together for a combined Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday. The house was large and everyone had plenty of space. The view of Lake Norman is why we picked the home and we were not disappointed. The house could use some updating, but we were quite content. On the second morning there were three deer near the gazebo just grazing. We kayaked out to the little island in the middle of the lake. There's a basketball hoop in the driveway that kept my energetic son and nephews engaged. We had a wonderful time.

Beautiful home for large groups. The ladies in our family completely enjoyed the view of Lake Norman with coffee each morning. Lots of puzzles and games were played not to mention the pool table. We all had a great time. The house is was clean and the kitchen was well supplied. We would not hesitate to visit again, this was actually our second stay at this home.

Stunning location, with a quiet cove for swimming and canoeing yet close enough to all the action on Lake Norman. Our family of 11 (plus the dogs) had an amazing time at this property.

We took our grown children and their families for a wonderful family vacation. We brought our own boat to use on the lake and had an enjoyable time. The house is exactly as listed on the website. The outside property, the deck and dock, are weathered but we did not even use the deck off the master bedroom anyway. We would recommend shoes at all times on them since splinters could be an issue. The property is a perfect place to go and enjoy the lake and relax. We were thrilled to see a double rainbow on our last evening!

We had a full house with 13 family members. There was plenty of room and the house was well equipped for our needs. We enjoyed the pool table and corn hole as well as the water toys, kayaks, and pontoon boating. The property is so scenic and the yard is so spacious it feels very private. The dogs enjoyed the cove area that was more shallow for swimming while the kids enjoyed swimming in and jumping off the dock in the deeper water. Highly recommend this property. All concerns were addressed promptly by the owner.

This property with a huge ranch home was perfect for our group of 12, ages 16-71. There was ample space to spread out, plenty of bathrooms, great AC, dependable WiFi, and lots of hot water. The privacy of the peninsula was fantastic with exceptional views, and the convenience of the dock for our fishing boats was wonderful. As stated, this is an older home, and there are definitely some areas that could use a little TLC, but everything is very functional. If you are expecting granite countertops and the most modern appliances and furniture, this is not the place for you. If you want an awesome location on the lake with a house that will accommodate a large group, you should definitely consider this is the place. Marty and her Dad were easy to work with, very responsive, and check-in was easy. We had a very enjoyable week and would rent again.
