We had a good time , the house was nice the yard could have used some weeding but all in all was a very nice place to stay. Next time we come I’d like to be on the ocean front. But still beautiful 😁

So, the house was tiny but cute and short walk to the ocean! However, Carolina retreats does not list all the extra fees and instead of spending a reasonable amount for the week we ended up spending twice as much! A large chunk went towards a non refundable pet deposit even though the house was cleaner when we left then when we came! Also the company kept coming to fix all the broken things during our stay causing us to have to sit and make sure our dogs did not get out instead of enjoying our vacation. Also, Carolina retreats quoted me one price that I signed off on and the charged my credit card A higher price than quoted without my permission but would not cancel the reservation when I did not want to sign for the higher price that they had already charged to my card! Overall a bad experience with the rental company!

Loved the proximity to public beach access which was right across the street. Only downside of the house was the bare wood spiral staircase to the loft which was difficult to navigate. Our 14 yo son stayed in the loft and had no problems. However, our plan was to have our 4 yo lab stay upstairs with him. He was either unable to navigate or afraid of the stairs and ended up staying downstairs with us. He obviously missed sleeping with his boy. Other than the stairs, I would recommend this house.

They did not let us know about check-in until the night before arrival and they were so busy they did not respond to maintenance issues. The house was clean and exactly as the description said. We loved it.

Unit smaller than expected, living room furniture uncomfortable but nice TV. Very comfortable full size bed, clean, nice ocean view, beach access right across the street, quiet but close to shops and dining.

So cutely decorated, had everything we needed. Truly appreciated the cleaning supplies. (Vacuum cleaner, broom etc). Very short walk to a magnificent beach.

The location was great and thank goodness because the rest was disappointing. The owner of Topsail Realty owned the house. The kitchen was stocked with cheap utensils and a poor choice of pots and pans that looked like they cleared out a thrift shop. There was only one sharp knife and plenty of cheap steak knives. The cups in the cupboard were stained and filthy. Leftovers were in the dishwasher. The beds were the only nice thing. We arrived and the TV was not working and my husband spent a bit of time trying to get the connections to work. The furniture is too large for the space. Large old wooden futon set and not comfortable. Advertised to house 6 but was cramped with 4. Had to move dinette to come in and out of the door. Airconditioning died and owner less than responsive to remedy the problem. We planned on making a dinner and having people over and ended up having to go out because the house was ovrer 90 degrees inside. Wrote a letter stating all this and asked for a refund and the cost of meal. Fell on deaf ears. Would never go there again or use TOPSAIL REALTY.

The house was beautifully decorated, clean, close to the beach and all the local activities. We were very impressed and will be coming back!
