My family and I had an excellent stay. The condo had amazing ocean views and easy access to everything we needed on the Island. I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful beach condo.

From the moment I booked, Jeanette and Shawn welcomed us. Arrival was quick and simple with gate pass printed ahead of time.
When we walked in, the first think we saw was the beautiful ocean view! Almost everywhere you look in this condo, there are ocean views. The main floor bedroom does not have them, but both upstairs bedrooms do. Our room had a window seat, which was perfect for ocean views for my husband who has mobility issues.
The main floor balcony was perfect for watching sea birds, dolphins, and deer who forage in the dues below. We felt like we didn't even have to go down to the beach to enjoy it!
Everything in the condo was sleek and aesthetically appealing. KIG does a great job of making it feel like a home, not a rental. Plenty of kitchen necessities. Truly everything you need or could want is at your fingertips. They send ideas for places to honor try and offer booking soft things like bikes and beach chairs. Very professional!
We are now officially spoiled, and I know we will be back to the Penthouse again next year. After 20+ years of coming to Kiawah, this is officially our home away from home! ❤️

We were 2 couples with an additional friend who stayed for several days in April. The condo was in perfect shape and offered all of the amenities that one would look for on Kiawah. Everything was made easy and with luxury. In addition, any and all questions were answers promptly. Loved our stay and can’t wait to return!

This place exceeded our expectations and was an amazing place for a get away. The details and decorating were beyond any rental we've ever stayed in. Plus, the views from the patio and upper bedrooms were phenomenal. It was wonderful to wake up to the sunrise every morning. The communication with the owner was a bit cold and unfriendly, but she responded quickly to any question. The check-out process was also a bit more complicated than any we've experience... needed to go through an online checklist to confirm we did everything we were supposed to do before leaving. Other than this it was a wonderful experience and we'd highly recommend it!

Stunning views. Beautiful condo. Management was VERY responsive. The island is beautiful and absolutely peaceful. A lot to ask of vacationers at checkout but I know that can be common with rentals.

We had a wonderful time during our stay in this property. It is SO beautifully appointed; truly looks like it’s straight out of a magazine. The views of the beach are stunning. We enjoyed family bike rides on the island paths and the wide open beach. So much wonderful nature to take in on this magical island. The owners were fantastic and friendly and we will be staying at their properties every time we visit from now on!

First time in Kiawah and staying with Shawn and Jeanette but hopefully many more in the future. The inside was literally stunning and you can’t beat the proximity to the beach. The beds were also the most comfortable I’ve had at a rental property. They’ve thought of everything you need and are clear in the check in and check out procedures. Overall a fabulous experience.

Great location, lovely place, lots to do before u leave
It’s a great location and a lovely place. Extremely clean and well organized. Be prepared though to strip the beds, start the sheets, start the dishwasher, and empty trash.

Magical!
Island Getaways has it all together! When walking in you could feel the comfort, warmth, and wow! It was so nice to be able to work with the Lawsons directly on questions and needs....I would not hesitate to stay in any of their properties, unseen!

Perfect in every way!
This was one of the best places we have rented for a week at the beach! So clean, beautifully decorated, and great location! The owners put a lot of thought into making sure the needs of their guests were met! I would highly recommend this villa!

Penthouse Perfection!
My three friends and I experienced five glorious days in this penthouse and it was so beautifully decorated and was like my home away from home. It was pure luxury with our hosts thinking of every single thing I could possibly need. Whenever I reached out with a question, I received an immediate response. I will definitely return and highly recommend it. I know they didn't order the beautiful weather and glorious sunrises, but ... did they?

What a wonderful few days with our elderly parents! We’ve been coming to Kiawah for 24 years and this beautiful beachfront condo was our favorite! Luxury accommodations from towels, supplied kitchen, extras all around and extremely comfortable beds! Decor top notch! Thank you!!!

Windswept Penthouse
Lovely venue, outstanding vistas and access to the beach. The two king bedrooms on the upper floor are spacious and have beautiful views. The small bedroom with two non-movable twin beds on the lower floor are suitable for children. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked with equipment and spices. There are no cupboards available to put purchased non-refrigerated food items so they end up filling up the kitchen counter--so my only small suggestion for this incredible apartment would be to have a closet made available to guest use for this. Otherwise this is a really luxurious place to stay with very responsive owners who kindly ran interference when our Blue Apron box was delivered to the wrong address and immediately and knowledgeably responded to our call when a rare island-wide and fortunately short power outage occurred.

Fun time on kiawah
Family had a great time. Steps from the beach, plenty of biking trails. Property had up to date furnishings and was very clean. Not allowed to use community pool since we rented through VRBO, but after looking back, pool was not listed as an amenity. Overall, great trip and rental was excellent.

The penthouse was gorgeous! It was a seamless process for check- in. The owners communicated before during and after our stay. They followed up promptly to my questions.
This is the first time at this penthouse. I have stayed at other penthouses in Kiawah- this one is by far the nicest penthouse! Beautifully decorated every item thought if that you would need for your stay. All you need to do is arrive for a fantastic stay on Kiawah.

The Penthouse at Windswept was fabulous!!! It is beautifully decorated, well appointed, has a spectacular view, the owners are wonderful and very responsive! I would rent from them again and hope to in the near future! I give this place a 5 plus out of a 5. Loved everything about it!!!

Perfect Oceanfront Location
We have always loved Kiawah, and this property did not disappoint. My husband and I vacationed with another couple. The condo was clean, recently remodeled, and spacious. We loved the decor. The two masters afforded plenty of privacy, and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook a couple of meals. There was even a well stocked spice cabinet. We hope this one will be available next time we visit

Perfect vacation for our family!
Our absolute favorite place to stay at Kiawah! We could not have asked for a better experience - fully stocked and beautifully decorated penthouse! The Lawsons have thought of everything! The place and its furnishings looked brand new with beautiful towels, cookware, coolers and games for the beach and inside! The only place we will stay when we come back! Thank you!

Private retreat
We have rented this fantastic location 5 times over the past 7 years. We just don't like it...we are addicted to it. Fabulous views, breathtaking sunrises, a feeling that you are not a visitor , but a welcomed friend. EVERYTHING is 5 STAR +. Shawn and Jeanette REALLY take great care of this property and it feels that way too.

Beautiful Property!
A beautiful property that I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to simply relax I don't think you could beat this place. Don'tbook during hurricane season though as our stay was limited to 3 days out of the 7 booked due to Hurricane Matthew. Who knew the first hurricane in over 10 years would hit the week we booked?!?
Location was incredible, the property was beautifully maintained and the beds were amazingly comfortable!
The owners were extremely responsive to each and every inquiry and kept us fully informed throughout the process. Again, I highly recommend this property!

Absolutely Fantastic
Our beach experience here was one of the best ever. We have been coming to the island for over 30 years and this is by far the cleanest and best appointed rental we have had. Tissue, cleaning products, beach chairs, and more. . .everything was there for our convenience. The view from the living room as well as the master bedroom was romantic, restful, and soul healing. We will be renting this penthouse again if possible.
