Very clean home with all the amenities you will need for a quiet getaway in Borrego Springs.

This lovely and charming mid-century modern home features a great combination of original character and contemporary updates to provide a wonderfully comfortable stay. New floors throughout including cool black-and-white tile in the kitchen, and newer HVAC pair with mod fixtures and furniture, and beamed ceilings. Kitchen is fully stocked for just about any need. More than enough room for two, could easily accommodate four guests. The huge wall of windows facing north to the patio and desert scrub afford an incredible view from the living room and morning coffee on the patio was a great way to enjoy the desert air. Breath-taking expanse and abundance of stars at night. The hosts were friendly, gracious and responsive through check in. We completely adore this home and we hope to be back!
A couple of notes:
The shower head in the master bath is quite low; taller guests might appreciate the shower stall in the other bathroom.
Opening windows early in the day is a great way to get cool air into the house, and the ceiling fans do a nice job of keeping things comfortable.

We enjoyed a relaxing stay at this scenic and comfortable home. It is equipped with everything you would need for cooking and daily living. The view from the living room and patio is spectacular, with open desert backed by tall mountains. We enjoyed frequent walks through the desert neighborhood and in the nearby state park.

A few maintenance issues that keep us from rating this a 5 but we still want to stay here again.
Peaceful, quiet neighborhood, yet close to town.
Back yard faces open land, great views of it from wall of windows. Outstanding integration of desert landscaping with mid-century interior colors.

What a lovely home! Exquisitely appointed Mid-Century decor that never sacrifices comfort. Colorful space with gorgeous views, a fully equipped kitchen, and no detail left undone. Guest will feel welcomed and tended to during their stay. We’ll be back!

The interior of the house feels mid-century, but it is actually an improvement. I think it's what mid-century designers had in mind but didn't have modern materials like the black countertop, the flooring, and the 2 giant sliding glass doors that showcase the beautiful view.

Wonderful house...Very well appointed, mid-mod...just our style. Close to hiking & food choices. Unfortunately, the heat was not working properly, so we had to cut our visit short. BUT we would come back in a hot minute!

Lovely and Comfortable Mid-Century Modern Home
We have visited Borrego Springs many times and stayed at several different properties on VRBO but this was our favorite. The interior is well-decorated and very, very comfortable. Beautiful views out the two side by side sliding glass windows. A king size mattress so comfortable that we found ourselves checking who made it. This is just a wonderful property all around and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I only wish it was longer than a week!

We really enjoyed our stay at Jack and Kathleen's home in Borrego. A very well appointment kitchen, great library, nicely furnished, beautifully decorated property with a fantastic view of the desert and mountains. We look forward to returning.

The views were gorgeous with lots of cacti and desert plants surrounding the property. We were able to see stars from the backyard and use the bikes to explore the neighborhood. We spent most of the day time at the property and it kept us cool from the heat. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook there. The owners were also super responsive whenever we reached out. Overall, a really wonderful stay!

Another Perfect Stay
We have rented this home several times over the last few years. Everything about the house was great as usual. This was the first time we stayed in May. It was very hot during the day, 95 degrees, but the nights were spectacular. Warm outside and perfect for stargazing. To beat the heat we hiked most days up in Culp Valley. It was 10-15 degrees cooler there. Highly recommend Borrego Springs and this house off season. We had a wonderful time.

The house is lovely and very well equipped. We love the midcentury style and colors. It is welcoming and very pleasant -- we felt right at home. We went to Anza Borrego to let our son take some pictures of the night sky and the location was perfect.
The only problems we had were minor and easily resolved. The house could use a little maintenance. The vertical blinds in the bedroom blinds are missing one slat and don't close properly making the room very bright early in the morning. The bath drains constantly and can't be filled and there's a lose electrical socket in the bathroom which looks a little unsafe. The electronic door lock is a little hard to use. You have to pull very hard to position the door to turn the bolt and on one occasion we were unable to open the door after multiple tries. We got it eventually but this was at 1:00am after a night trip to take some pictures and therefore a little alarming.
Other than these relatively minor problems, the house is a delight.

In fact, I credit that to the profound sense of relaxation I felt while there. So many birds used the Ocotillo cactus it was amazing. A Roadrunner came to visit the back patio several times. This was an idyllic spot to relax in Anza Borrego and we will return.
The house was well outfitted, super clean and the furniture and bed all comfortable. There was lots of seating and would be plenty of room for at least several more people. The house stayed nice and cool during the day when it got into the 90s.
The house felt happy to us, and had a really good vibe. It truly felt like home away from home.
