This beach house was so beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay on Palm Island. We always love coming to the island every year with our family to get a break from our busy life back in Ohio. Would definitely recommend this beach house.

Great views, seemed like our private beach. Dog friendly. Need a car ferry (very short) to get here so consider that in your costs/budget/planning. If you have “experienced” knees or body parts there are stairs to consider. Great week, thanks, will add this to our collection of places that we would like to return to.

What a lovely beach condo. It was just steps to the beach and the ocean was right there. There's not much to do on the island...which is exactly what we were looking for!! This is a true beach house so being outdoors enjoying the ocean, shelling, walking the beach and relaxing in the sun was perfect. The house has a well equipped kitchen for cooking and a weber charcoal grill. Everything is clean, well maintained and Susanne was in contact several times to make sure or trip was going well. We hope to return next year:)

I think it best sums up our stay to say that when my husband entered the space, all I heard was, "Oh my God!" like three times before I even got inside! Beautiful from outside in and onto the beach only feet away! The space was so clean and welcoming, and the directions from Susanne were complete and comprehensive. The space is laid out perfectly with the ocean view at the forefront and doors that open the space to it worked beautifully. It rained our first day, but we didn't even care, because the view is so lovely and listening to the ocean is grand. The second floor was just as clean and tidy, and since there were only two of us, we just used one of the two bedroom and bathrooms available. They were both lovely, and our bedroom faced the ocean with a gorgeous balcony to welcome the morning sun every morning. As a New Yorker, sun is a rare commodity, so that was a beautiful thing to be able to do first thing out of bed. The beach is absolutely gorgeous, and we were sad to have to leave. We had such a marvelous time, and we hope to do it again next year. Pro tip - bring enough food for the stay unless you want to rent a golf cart to go off island, or pay again for a full size car. The "convenient store" is hardly either, but that isn't for this review. Susanne was very communicative, and lovely. Everything was fully explained and she checked in on us throughout our stay (one week). Really a marvelous place to stay!

Spent a week at this unit. Had a great time. Unit was as described and very nicely furnished, decorated and supplied with most anything you would need/want. Great view of gulf from living area and main level porch. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very nicely furnished and decorated and comfortable. Owner was very open to questions and provided quick responses. She would checkin throughout stay to see if we needed anything or had questions. She also provided very clear instructions for arrival and departure. It was a great week. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to visit again.

We had a very nice, relaxing week. The ferry was only a minor inconvenience once we found our way around. The property is nice -- could use some attention to maintenance on the outside. The Weber grille was a nice feature for us. Susanne checked on us regularly.

We have stayed at many gulf front rentals and this is the nicest we have stayed in. Owner was lovely and very communicative.

If you need somewhere to unwind this is it , Ferry crossing is easy and then it is just you and the beach literally!!! Totally recommend this place ….. Dog friendly and so quiet . Worth the money :-)

This is our second year staying in this beautiful townhome, and we can’t wait to book next year’s trip. The home is clean, well stocked, and comfortable. Susanne is incredibly responsive. We have nothing but positive things to say about this property and owner.

This VRBO experience was perfect from beginning to end. Check-in was a breeze and we found the townhome to be extremely clean and well appointed. This townhome is crisp, clean, and feels brand new. Our host, Susanne texted us to make sure we were happy and that all our needs were met making sure we felt comfortable immediately after our arrival. The view was as advertised - stunning direct Gulf views. We saw Manatees and dolphin from the screened lanai and the sunsets were well amazing. We loved the outdoor shower for cleaning up after the beach and the pool next door was a delight and never crowded. The 2 king size beds were super comfortable and each bedroom had it's own bathroom and tv. The family room had a large flatscreen tv that was perfect for downtime or rainy days. We enjoyed boating, shelling, swimming, and lots of beach time during our stay making it the perfect family vacation. If you're looking to connect with nature, avoid the crowds, and enjoy a peaceful beachy paradise - this is the condo and spot for you!

This is really a fantastic place to stay. It was very clean, and has a great layout and has been very nicely maintained and updated. The location is perfect-- quiet beach. Lots of times we were the only people within 400 yards on the beach. Lovely pool right on the beach too. Host is very responsive. We rented a golf cart from Coconuts and that was a lot of fun too. Don't be put off by the car ferry-- it was fast and easy, similar to a drawbridge, and there's a Publix and a Walmart within about 10min drive. We had a great week. Would definitely rent again.

I would love to be able to keep this lovely find to myself, but that would not be fair to Susanne, who has worked so hard to make her lovely home so comfortable and welcoming! We had a wonderful stay at her townhome: so very clean, comfortable and right on the beach- Photos do not do this place justice. We were looking for a 'Get away" from the chaos of Atlanta and we found it! This island may not be for everyone, but it was perfect for us. Very quiet - no noise, few people, few cars (mostly golf carts - which is encouraged!) LOTS of stars to be seen at night! Proximity to the beach was perfect and easy for my 82 year old mother to navigate. We all loved the amenities provided by the owner (paddleboard, kayak, pool) We sat, drank, talked, read books on the breezy porch and enjoyed all the sun, sand, waves, and shark teeth (which proved to be an obsession for our 12 year old son!). We were lucky to see the dolphins swim by each night and even got to see a HUGE manta ray fishing off the sand bar. Susanne was more than accommodating, going out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed (her recommendations were outstanding!). Townhome was well supplied with all the items necessary for us to have a stress free and relaxing stay! We truly loved our stay and hope to make it back another time!

We stayed at this beautifully remodeled condo in 2022 and immediately rebooked for this year. The location is perfect. We actually got married at Palm Island Resort at the north end of the island in 2015 but prefer to stay in Colony Don Pedro when we visit. This is our favorite unit we have stayed in especially since we’re able to bring our pup with us. My 5 year old and dog both enjoyed playing on the beach and in the surf. The pool is also a favorite. We enjoy coming back yearly to our little island in the sun and look forward to next year.

This townhouse is better than the pics! Well appointed, right on the beach. Would gladly stay at the same property next year. Owner is quick to respond with information! Love this location if you want a quiet getaway.

The property is picture perfect with direct access to the beach. It’s pet friendly and our shepherd loves to cool off in the Gulf. There was red tide which resulted in many vacationers having a cough.

This town house is as the pictures show. Beautiful, clean and the beach access is like no other I have experienced. I wanted to treat myself to this beach/water experience and this fulfilled my dream. If you like time for quiet reflection, unparalleled sunsets, and the "island Life", this is it. If you like some action, you can have that too with water sports and tennis. The pool is great, not busy at all and you can still see and hear the ocean. I loved it!!

What an awesome property. Susanne was very accommodating and checked in with us several times to make sure we had everything we needed. We loved the sliding glass doors. We took in the sunsets, ate dinner, and watched TV from the screened in porch. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. Being right on the beach was so convenient and it was never crowded. The property was as advertised. Clean, updated and well decorated to make you feel like you were at home. Will stay here again on our next visit to the area.

We had an absolutely amazing time at this beautiful property. The owners were gracious and communicated everything to a tee. Warm and inviting as well as clean and new, are just a few words to describe this lovely townhouse. From the stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and great gathering space, to the fun decor, it really felt like a home away from home. We never turned on the heat or AC, we just left the sliding glass doors to the screened in porch open almost the whole time we were there because the sound of he waves and the view of the water was breathtaking. Every night we were met with the most beautiful sunset. We have been coming to the island for almost 10 years, and recently purchased property to build our retirement home, and we will certainly stay at Suzanne's place again until we have a place of our own. Highly recommend this wonderful place for your next vacation stay.

Great beach location, well equipped kitchen, very clean, and newly updated property. We enjoyed the feeling of a private beach, lots of shells, plenty of sharks teeth and beautiful sunsets! As a bonus, we saw dolphins every day. This is a great island location if you enjoy spending your days on the beach. The ferry was very efficient when we needed it but we only left the island one time to get a few groceries.

This place felt like a true home away from home, but in paradise! Ideal location with spectacular views from every room and ALL the amenities. I watched dolphins and manatees swim by daily, and the sunsets from the lanai were unrivaled. The home had everything I needed to cook, entertain and just simply relax. It was the perfect place to stay to experience DPI in all its glory.

So relaxing at a time of year without many others around. Saw the occasional walker on the beach, and met a family of 3 one day at the pool. We went in to Rum Bay for dinner the first night, but after that made full use of the full kitchen & groceries we brought with us. Hoping the property weathered Hurricane Ian, which hit one week after our stay. We would definitely consider a return trip. The owner was super-responsive. Answered all my questions, and was always quick to respond.

This relaxing townhome was immaculate and was updated with beautiful cabinetry, countertops, floors and appliances. It was approximately 50 ft to the beach so it was so close in getting our chairs and stuff down to watch the beautiful sunset. Will definitely check back to reserve another stay at this home next year! Thanks for such a great place to stay Susanne!!

Right on the beach and there was never more than 20 people on the beach the whole week we were there. Home is nicely remodeled and has everything you would need. Host is very accommodating and will answer any questions very quickly. A+ all around!

This property exceeded our expectations, with a perfect location, quiet surroundings, a comfortable house with all you can need, a more than convenient golf cart to ride around the island, and a kayak and a paddle board to even make it more enjoyable the few steps away beach. This is that kind of place you make memories to last!

This was such an amazing trip. For the first time we were not in a rush to do anything. We simply were on island time. Everything was just perfect about this place. The water was beautiful. Manatees were swimming by a couple times while we were in the ocean. I could go on and on. Just perfect!

We are repeat guests of this unit because we simply love it. The beach itself goes without saying as being a wonderful getaway on an almost deserted beach. BUT this particular unit is beautifully renovated resulting in a larger kitchen and more roomy overall feel. The unit has everything you need. I am a bit of a chef so I do bring a lot of my own kitchen stuff like I do at other vacation rentals but for the average vacationer you should be fine. I did leave a new set of wooden spoons and a better can opener since I knew I’d enjoy them on a future trip anyway :) HIGHLY RECOMMEND and the host Susanne was a joy to speak with. Looking forward to next time!

My partner and I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Susanne’s beach house on Palm Island! We even brought our golden retriever with us who had the best time of all. The unit is well furnished with everything you could possibly need for a day on the beach, complete with beach chairs, towels, a kayak, and a stand-up paddle board. Susanne was super responsive whenever we had questions and made us feel right at home. It was the perfect getaway!
