Everything as expected. Previously owned property in the resort. Safe & peaceful place to be

My family and I greatly enjoyed the waterfront location. It was the perfect location for a few days of relaxation.

The listing accurately described the property, communication with the property manager was easy and clear, and she was very adaptable to our changing circumstances. I would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I stayed in this property for four nights in late September. It was wonderful. The covered porch is just feet from the Bay, where we watched shorebirds fly by. A cormorant and a great blue heron were regular visitors. A five-minute walk took us to the ocean side of Sandbridge, where an uncluttered beach beckoned. We rode bicycles (available on the porch) to Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge, just down the road. Great attractions are nearby -- Virginia Aquarium, Military Aviation Museum, Norfolk Botanical Gardens, and USS Wisconsin tours -- all within one hour's drive or much less. Susan, the on-site property manager, was friendly, helpful, and always a phone call away. The property was clean and the neighborhood was peaceful. Five stars all the way around!

This place was nice for the 2 of us. Very relaxing and quite. Neighbors we're very nice always saying hello when we walked by. If you don't like bugs and nature it's not for you. Place was very clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely return in future.

The place is little too old and too small for 2 people.

The place was absolutely perfect! You can't possibly get any closer to the water. Views of the sun setting are incredibly beautiful. Downtown Virginia Beach is only a 20 minute drive. I highly recommend staying here ! We will definitely be returning! Thanks for everything!

The location is more than you could ever expect. Perfect for fishing and the sunset was once in a lifetime. Trailer fit two adults and one teenager perfectly. Communication with property manager was flawless and quick. Two small issues were handled with care. We have family in Virginia Beach and we will never consider a hotel ever again. We will be back!

Best place in town to fish, swim at the beach or pool, and some good food all within the range of a golf cart!!! We used the kyak (summer package) and the paddle boards. Best vacation yet!

From check-in to check-out, we enjoyed our stay at your place! The view from the deck was perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee early in the morning and watching the sun set. About a 10 minute walk to the beach and close the Back Bay Wildlife Refuge. Owner was very proactive in informing me of the sleeping situation (one futon, one queen bed, and two small bunkbeds) before confirming the rental. Overall a great experience!

The view was absolutely stunning! The property manager was so very nice and made things completely painless. If I had any suggestion it would be to build a small walkway from the porch to the pier. The ground stayed saturated and anytime we would go check the poles for fish our feet and shoes would get wet. Absolutely wonderful place!!!

I loved that we had access to the water. I didnt like the fact that we could not swim in the water due to snakes!
The ocean is within a 5 minute walk.
Please watch out for the snakes in the water.

The property is a older RV but despite it being older the stay was very good. The ability to sit on the deck and look out over the water was amazing. The property manager was very responsive with any and all requests or inquiries.

We unfortunately didn't get to spend too much time at the property, we had family staying at a house up the road a few miles. I would say it is perfect for two adults. There isn't much room in the main bedroom for anything but the bed so we used the second room for our bags. The place was clean and the views are unbeatable. Beautiful sunsets. The property manager is very responsive, luckily we did not need to contact her during our stay. I would stay here again.

I'll start with the positives:
Amazing deck and view of the sound
Nice gas grill outside
Very comfortable bed in big bedroom
There were bikes and kayaks available for use...nice touch
Things we did not love:
The trailer needs some TLC. The furniture appears dingy and grungy.
The plastic door handle broke when we barely touched it....clearly dry rotted.
There is a spot in the corner of the floor that is damp and, if someone too heavy steps on it, their foot will go through. It's covered by the futon and we would have never encountered it if we had not actually used the futon as a bed but still...
When we arrived, the place had a VERY STRONG bleach odor. It was actually so intense that it was giving us headaches, even sitting on the deck. We opened the windows to air out the trailer and used the hose to rinse off the welcome mat, because that seemed to be holding in a lot of the bleach smell.
Ice trays were not filled so there was no ice when we went to have drinks.
I think a little TLC and this place could be a great deal for 2-3 people.

Location was great. RV was definitely older and lacked some easy attention to things that were in disrepair. Bunk beds were just a thin piece of foam on wood, kids could not sleep on them. same with futon and main bedroom. Paid way too much not to sleep for 2 nights. Would not recommend unless things are upgraded

Booking was a breeze. Owner responded quickly and communicated everything we needed to do to check in. To check in we had to call 15 min prior to arrival and when we got there so they could let us in the gate. Susan was very friendly and helpful getting us checked in and answered any question we had.
Although it rained most of our stay, we were still able to sit out under the large porch/deck and enjoy our coffee in the morning and sunsets in the evening. Even got a little fishing in, right off the dock.
We really enjoyed our stay.
Thank you.

Beautiful view of the bay and minutes from the beach. Very peaceful stay. Clean

such a peaceful view! Hated that we had to stay inside after dusk or use insect repellent. This is an old "single-wide". Main bed "room" was small and bathroom and bunk beds were tiny. Thank goodness for very comfortable reclining chair which became my bed. Shower was too slippery to be safely used at our age. Hosts were very friendly and supportive.

Great stay at Sandbridge
We had a great week at this property. The home is exactly as described in a nice RV/mobile resort. It’s cozy and has everything you need. The views are amazing. Absolutely gorgeous sunsets and very easy access to kayaking, paddle boarding, and fishing. It was the perfect size for our family of 4. The kids loved the bunk beds, and the queen was quite comfortable. You can drive to the front of the property and walk just a short walk to the beach, or (as we did) park at the park right down the street. Parking is $5/day and there are showers, a playground, a place to rinse off, and picnic shelters. We had a couple of very minor issues and questions upon arrival and the property manager, Susan, was friendly, responsive, and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Sandbridge camper
We enjoyed our week because of the location, near our children.
camper was smaller than expected. cramped for two people; more than two would have difficulty. A bit expensive due to size and location in the park.
Evidence of damp and mold in corner by futon.
Futon did not open.
Suggest getting a regular toaster and Keurig brewer. Might take up less counter space than toaster oven and regular coffeemaker. Liked the gas stove.
Well stocked with supplies in kitchen and bathroom, towels, etc.
Property manager was very helpful.

Good location - some issues with RV
Pros: the location can’t be beat and being right on the water with the constant breeze was clearly an advantage over other locations in this RV park. We were able to bike right from the RV to Back Bay Wildlife Refuge and False Cape State Park. We drove to the beach cause we had stuff to carry but it was only a mile.
Cons: The RV is older and the plumbing kind of broke down during our stay so we couldn’t use the shower and had some funky smells for a bit. This was fixed and we were reimbursed for a portion of our stay but it did keep us from truly relaxing into vacation for the first couple days. It also wasn’t super clean.
The outdoor shower never worked and there were some misleading things about the listing. The picture of the pool makes it look huge but it is very tiny and we never used it. The bikes that are a part of the rec package are rusted and very specific sizes, making them hard to use for real biking or for varying sizes of kids. I’d suggest bringing your own if you intend to bike outside if the RV park.
This is definitely an older RV and that will be part of your experience. For us it was very much worth it if we could be right on the water. My husband and I had our coffee by the water every morning and when my daughter napped my son could fish or kayak, but maybe just manage expectations. Things also weren’t clean since you are just relying on the people who stayed before you to clean dishes, etc. We pulled out multiple dirty dishes from the cabinet, threw out a few random pieces of garbage from previous users that were tucked into the futon, and found a crumpled paper towel in our bed the first night.
In the end it all was okay but I wanted to give folks a heads up!

Disappointed
The description of the property was not completely accurate. The description states that the pool is right across the street. It is across the street but it is a good 3-4 minute walk - not right across the street.
The description states that the beach is a 2 minute walk from the front of park. However, this particular property is a decent distance from the front of the park so we had to drive to the beach.
The property was also very dated. There was a sketchy floor patching job in the living room corner behind the futon. It looked like there might have been some mold growth there as well. The blinds in the bunk room were falling down. The wall outlet was separating from the wall in the main bedroom. There was cardboard behind the blinds in the bedroom. The vent in the ceiling of the bathroom has cobwebs and dirt in it. The kitchen vent leaked.
The description states you could splash around in the bay but we were advised not to because of snakes.
The bunk room beds were a thin 2 inch mattress on top of plywood and were unusable.
The futon in the living room was difficult to make into a bed and it slopes toward the floor on one side.
Ideally, in the current condition it was in it is suitable to sleep 2 adults at best.
With a little investment or a few hundred dollars most of these issues could be fixed.
The views from the deck were amazing. The property owner and caretaker were easy to work with. But we were disappointed that our experience wasn’t what we thought it would be.
