We brought our 2 daughters down and enjoyed this home. Perfect location for walking to dining, awesome yard.

We are doing a remodel to our home and needed to be out of our house for a week. The house is cute, clean, quiet and comfortable, just as advertised. Being local, we knew exactly where the house was and it’s proximity to shops and restaurants. We brought our e-bikes down, which we highly recommend or regular bikes can get you in town or to the beach quickly!

This home is very nicely decorated . Beautifully landscaped . In a quiet neighborhood. Love the fully fenced in yard, child and pet friendly. We did have to call the owner during our stay. She replied quickly and resolved the problem. U couldn't ask for a better host. I would not hesitate to stay there again !

the house was really well stocked -- there was a heater for every room which was nice for how surprisingly cold it was -- and is in a prime location. it also was the perfect set up for 2 couples and 2 kids with room to spread out & for the kids to run around. would definitely recommend it!

We enjoyed our short visit and the property had more amenities than we were able to use. Lovely yard and BBQ is perfect for family gatherings. Our stay was in early December 2022. Nice set-up for families. We had a few technology issues, but the management team was very responsive in getting them resolved.

We had a great Thanksgiving in Encinitas. The house was clean; close to town, beach & restaurants; and had a great yard with amazing cacti & plantings. Easy checkin & communication with hosts who were super accommodating by bringing more propane over for the outside heater. We can recommend staying here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. The yards are amazing. We didn't bring our pup, but it would be a perfect place to do so! We really appreciated the outside shower for when we returned sandy from Moonlight beach! It's such a short walk to main Encinitas and loved that it was walking distance to the library and playground. The house is older, with some updates. The property was very clean and the instructions were clear.

Our group of four enjoyed this little house close to the beach. Lots of outdoor space to sit and relax, and the house was simple and clean. Perfect for our time together.

I had to leave after just one night as my husband got diagnosed with covid so I had to go back home to care for him. The owners didn’t respond to any of my messages and failed to refund any of my stay despite promising to, and despite it being perfectly reasonable and completely their choice to do so. The grill was rusty and not working, which I saw from the previous guest’s stay was also the case, and the owners told me this was a replacement but it obviously wasn’t. There is a busy road right by the house, someone tried to break into my car overnight, and there was so much dog excrement in the yard I couldn’t stand to let my own dog run around. These people are trying to take your money and have no interest in making your stay comfortable. I would not come back.

Great family getaway at a beautiful, beachy spacious home with all the amenities. Very pretty and serene backyard and grounds to relax in and plenty of seating for all. We brought our dog and it was perfect for her!

This is my family's fourth time renting this property (maybe more). We keep coming back because it is in a perfect location, well maintained and Sarah is so easy to work with. Right down the street from the library and park. A quick walk down the hill and you are on the main drag. Lazy Acres grocery in one direction and Von's in the other. Can't say enough good things. Thanks for having us

Loved the outdoor entertaining space! We grilled we chilled we drank wine by the fire. The house was perfectly stocked for our family of 5. We will be back! Loved this spot.

Great little spot. The house had everything we needed (the kitchen was better stocked that most rentals). A short walk to downtown Encinitas. A longer (but still very reasonable) walk or a short bike ride/drive to the beach. Perfect place for our family.

We stayed here as it was a block from our Aunt’s house. Wonderful location and walking distance to the beach and downtown. Also a short drive to the grocery store. We stayed with our two young children ( almost 2 and almost 6), sister and brother in-law and their dog. The house was a perfect size for our group and we loved the space outside which is enclosed, perfect for our kids and the dog to play outside. It is a quiet, the amenities are great and the owners were quick to respond to questions we had prior to arrival. Will definitely stay next time we are back!

Overall great location for walking the dogs and close enough to downtown Encinitas

My family and I don't get to see each other often because we live in different states. We decided to book a stay at a beach house for a long weekend as a way to connect and relax. Therefore, it was important to find a home that offered the appropriate amenities. Things we liked: 1.) Three designated parking spots (1 garage, 2 driveway) because there is no street parking. It was tight, but doable. 2.) The house was cleaned well and therefore felt comfortable/fresh. 3.) The yard space felt like a forrest! There was tons of shade, a waterfall feature, seating and space to play / hammock (brought our own). The long green lawn allowed us to have yard game tournaments (we brought our own ladder ball, corn hole, etc). 4.) The home has many windows that we were able to open to create a cool cross breeze (no AC, ceiling fans in master / living room / dining room only). 5.) They provided ample beach supplies (chairs, boogie boards, an umbrella), quality cooking supplies (pots, knives, etc) and televisions (We brought our Fire stick and it worked great). Things we didn't like: 1.) We were disappointed to arrive and find out the BBQ was not working. We had already purchased supplies and planned an evening around using it. However, we contacted Sarah (the host) who informed us that BBQ malfunction was discovered by the house cleaner just before our arrival and would be fixed quickly for other guests. She also offer to compensate us for the inconvenience, which was GREATLY APPRECIATED! 2.) There was a back porch light that provided a small amount of coverage for the patio furniture area of the yard. However, It would have been nice to have more outdoor lighting, especially along the large grass area to continue the outdoor fun after sundown, but before quiet hours. 3.) While the home felt clean and spacious, there were many elements that were dated (mattresses, sheets, couch, dishwasher, etc). It would have been nice to have ventilation fans in the bathrooms for showers (couldn't leave the window open because you might be seen by another guest in the side yard or a neighbor). 4.) It is on a busier road, which was loud at times. However, the road is only one lane each way and the home is far from the train and the freeway that would have caused much more disruption (look at the map closely before booking for these reasons on cali coast). All and all a lovely stay with a responsive host in a gorgeous city.

We had a wonderful time in Encinitas, walking to the different beaches, enjoying the restaurants and climate. The house was beautiful and fit our multigenerational family perfectly. Our dog loved the yard and her walks. Our son was married at the San Diego Botanical Garden less than 5 minutes away. So beautiful!!!

We loved our stay at the bungalow. It is just a couple of blocks from downtown Encinitas, which is full of lively and yummy restaurants and cute shops! It was chilly when we visited, so we didn't get to enjoy the firepit and outdoor space as much as we would have liked to. The house was simple but comfortable.

The house is so cute and very clean. The yard is amazing! My fur and human grandbabies loved it. We enjoyed the firepit while we ate our pie after Thanksgiving dinner. I would advise driving to the beach if you have kids and all their stuff. Parking was easy and the beach was nice.

Would absolutely stay again. This is private yet beach like. It's a fantastic get away home!

We loved staying here and everything was great minus the heat. I had to buy more fans because the air doesn’t flow through the home very well. It was hotter than usual that week, so I think most folks will be fine, but with summers being hotter, you do need to be aware that this home has no AC and is not set up for maximum air flow. Everything else from outdoor shower to kitchen to beds was all excellent. It’s a bargain for what you get! Very clean and simply decorated. Tvs with cable, tons of outdoor space and a driveway. It’s very tricky to park more than one vehicle but having a driveway is appreciated in this neighborhood with no sidewalks.

We had a great time at the property. It was clean, large and just what we needed. We spent most of our time outside and the landscaping and outdoor spaces were exceptional. As other reviewers have noted, the beds are a little uncomfortable, and the property is quite a hike to the beach, but all in all it was great for what we needed.
