Two sets of cousins traveled from TX and FL to enjoy a reunion with three local cousins. This home was a perfect meeting place. We loved the location. Must say the home is even better than the photos and description. The kitchen was above and beyond supplied with everything you might need. The beds were comfortable and appointed with high end linen and wonderful pillows. The bath linens were very nice as well. The furniture was comfortable and plentiful. The outdoor area was very invited and made for a wonderful gathering place. Response from the owners was quick and friendly. Thank you so much! We will definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at white oak during the long Easter weekend! The cottage is cute and very clean! Liz was very attentive and we even ran into the cleaning lady as we arrived a little early. She was very friendly and offered us her information in case we needed anything. We hope to go back and will definitely try to rent again! Thanks for a great stay!

Cottage was well equipped, comfortable, upgraded appliances. TVs and Wi-Fi easy to connect to and manage. Short ride into downtown Black Mountain.

The house was quite spacious--inside and outside! Also, it was quite attractive and had everything we needed to have a great stay!

The property is immaculate and well-appointed. It’s the perfect balance of quiet yet close enough to the breweries, restaurants and shops to walk (around half a mile, sidewalk the entire way) and not worry about finding parking. We were able to prepare our full Thanksgiving meal and accommodate family and friends for meals. Recommended!

The location of the property is walkable to town and a short distance to Asheville. The neighborhood is quiet and the yard was perfect for our dogs. The interior was clean and updated. An extra bonus were the heated toilets. If you’re looking for a small cottage with comfortable amenities that is clean and convenient then this is a good choice.

We have stayed at this adorable cottage 4 times now so it’s like “home” to us!! It’s so conveniently located to town, restaurants and shops ! Our dogs love walking around nearby Lake Tomahawk and so many restaurants have outdoor seating where they are welcome ! Our host, Liz, is easy to communicate with and the cottage is spotless !! We were sad to head home today but look forward to our next stay at White Oak Cottage!!!

The cottage was beautifully decorated with very nicely furnished. Location was very good. Great place for a “girls’ getaway for a few days. I’d definitely rent it again!

The cottage is beautiful and has everything you might need! The distance to downtown is a bit far to walk, especially if you shop and have items to carry, but it’s a short drive and parking is available. Great selection of local restaurants and charming shops nearby.

The 3 of us were thoroughly pleased by the spacious quarters. Much more room than an expensive hotel. The location was very convenient to the downtown restaurants and shops. Perfect for 2 to 4 people. On our 2nd day, we did encountered a strange person carrying a shovel walking along the driveway toward the garage and then peering in. Male, 35 yrs. of age, about 6 ft. 1 in. 200+lbs. with a mustache. By the time we parked and got out of the car, he had disappeared. I think he panicked. Sorry to spoil this review, but thought you should know. All 3 of us thought he was casing the place. You have my permission to use only the 1st paragraph for marketing purposes.

The cottage was conveniently located for walks to town and in the neighborhood. What wasn't convenient ws the streetm sigfn indicating Iroquois coming from town. It was buried in the bushes and all of us, including family members staying at another cottage, had trrouble making the correct turn despite our warnngs.Supplies were good and the appliances seemed new and worked well. We had some trouble getting the TVs going, but Adam came right up and explained everythinmg so we were good to go.All in all it was a very nice stay. (My long legged greyhounds werw NOT fond of the bare floors, but did adjust when I spread some rugs around.

Nice place to stay. Convenient location. The house seems to have been painted- the picture on VRBO show a blue house it is however Now brown/beige and the house number is hard to see.

We have visited Black Mountain five times now and invited our friends to join us. The cottage was perfect. We enjoyed the front porch and the yard with our puppies. The layout with the two bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms was ideal and we appreciated the location close to town. We plan to come back to the cottage again.

Everything was outstanding. Loved the extra touches. However, I would suggest that you put a little more into your bed frames. The frames are a little flimsy and noisy. The Keurig is nice (and I used it a lot) but not everybody uses it. The fire pit and lights in the patio are great (we did not use them), but everybody will use the beds. Other than that, we were more than pleased. Exceptional and comfortable.

Attended bootcamp at montreat, this was so convenient, and comfortable.

I love this little place. The location is perfect, close to downtown and the Lake Tomahawk area, walking distance to Montreat. The yard is perfect if you're traveling with a dog and/or kids. Though not for gourmet cooks, the kitchen is functional. The back bedroom is cozy and dark, while the front room, which has the larger bath with shower, is for lighter sleepers when morning rolls around. I recommend this place and would stay here again.

Nice neighborhood. A little hard to get in. The best thing to do is pull into the store, then enter the street. It will make sense when you get there. Rabbits run wild in the yard, it’s that quiet.
