Everything was good cement!!!

The best part of our rental was the short walk to the beach. The air quality in the unit was terrible. Although there was a dehumidifier it smelled musty and damp. The furnishings are old and the unit is in need of a major update. The backyard area with grill was not very attractive. Table and chairs old and general landscape non existent

Home was as described, clean and had everything we needed. Gravel drive was a little hard to navigate beach accessories and luggage from car to home, but not a deal breaker. Home was clean and cozy. Grill out back was clean and had propane. Would recommend and possibly stay again in the future.

Our little family enjoyed our stay at this property. The location cannot be beat for the price. It made our walks to the beach with two little girls (5 & 9) easy and no stress. It is in a prime spot, with easy walking access to all restaurants and stores. The girls were especially fans of the sandy pony donuts and pizza from starboard sauced, both right at the end of the street. The house was clean, the beds were comfy. I’d say the only downsides were no outdoor deck and a bit of a musty smell. I will add that those two things would absolutely NOT keep us from coming back again. I definitely would. Elizabeth was responsive and kind.

The house had everything needed to a simple, quick beach vacation. I would say that it sleeps four since the pullout couch Was not in good condition. For a small family for a few days it works great!

We booked our stay in early February, and when an issue came up with the dates that we were supposed to be staying at the house, the host was very accommodating and working out a solution for us. The location was above and beyond what we expected with a short walk to the beach which was very manageable with 4 kids, as well as how close it was to restaurants in the area. The host has been making updates throughout, and was overall very comfortable.

Great location, very centralized between a lot of great restaurants. House had everything you would need for a week/weekend. 10/10 stay, will hopefully stay here again!

This is centrally located in Dewey and you can walk anywhere easily from it.

Nice, clean cottage with easy access to the beach and everything else. Only one bathroom but the outside shower is a big convenience. We enjoyed the enclosed porch too. Kitchen has all you need. We brought our own sheets, blankets and towels which I think is pretty typical for a beach house. Easy check-in/out.

Comfortable cottage within a short walk to beach.

The property was clean and easy to access. The images in the advertisements/listing are exactly as they are in person. The television was very new, The washer and dryer look 'retro' but they are actually relatively new. We actually did a few loads of laundry. The general vibe was nice and 'homey' for lack of a better word. It had it's quirks and could use a little fresh paint here and there. Some people had mentioned the couch was too soft. I could understand that assessment depending on your sensitivity, but it never bothered us. Overall, everything was great. We have stayed in places that were 'dumps', but this cottage was anything but that. It's obvious that the owners put the effort into creating a place they might want to stay at themselves. Our property managers Liz and Tom were very responsive to all of our needs. Some minor repairs were addressed immediately. We appreciated it's relative closeness to the beach. It was easily walk-able. The location offered convenient restaurants and shops (again, all just a short walk away). The Jolly Trolly had multiple pickup/drop off locations which made trips to Rehobeth cheap and free of parking hassles (having to find parking always stresses me out and makes vacations less enjoyable!). In the case of this cottage though, the trip to Dewey automatically included easy trips to Rehobeth. We barely used our car the entire week we stayed.

The house was a good size for my family (2 adults, 1 preschooler). Great and quiet location, easy to get to the beach and lots of good restaurant options in walking distance. The house had all of the basics we needed for our 6 night stay and we liked the mini splits for a/c. However, the house was dirty and not well cared for. There was black gross stuff that looked like coffee grounds in multiple places in the kitchen including in the dish drainer, which was also rusty, so we didn’t use it. Lots of the kitchen utensils were icky and some were rusted. There was a gross smell coming from near the sink… guessing maybe mildew? And the true icing on the cake was the adult bed bug we found on our last morning. It’s a perfectly nice house, but it needs to be cared for and cleaned better. Maybe some of this would have been less bothersome to a group of 21 year olds ready to party, but for a family with a child, it was pretty unpleasant. We talked to the home owner after finding the bed bug and she assured us she would be calling an exterminator. Hopefully this will be a nicer house to stay at in the future, but I won’t be coming back to find out.

House just as described. Even had washer/dryer with laundry soap which was great. Quiet side street, easy 5 minute walk to Main Street in town. Short drive to Rehoboth. Town has Monday movies and Wednesday s’mores on beach.

We were looking for a place close to the beach to celebrate our youngest child's second birthday. This place definitely fit the bill! Plenty of space, close proximity to the beach and restaurants, it was just the right spot for us. We will be back!

The property was very nice. Everything was within walking distance. The neighbors were very friendly and it is an extremely safe area.

Great location and clean property. Perfect size for our family. Short walk to the beach with an easy ramp (we had a wagon). Recommend Fat Vinnys for food. We had a great stay with beach time, fishing, and crabbing.

The house was perfect for five people. It was cozy and being two blocks from the beach was perfect. Very convenient and comfortable.

Amazing location. Didn’t need the car to walk to the beach with my 2 little ones, restaurants also walk distance and a short drive to Rehoboth Beach boardwalk. It was perfect for my family of 4 ( inc 2 little kids). The communication with Liz was very easy. It was a great experience ;) ;)

Has everything you need, and it all works. Best feature: walk one block to beach, coffee shop, restaurants (best Greek take out!). Also good: Quiet individual A/C units, ceiling fans, washer & dryer, hot shower, new fridge, Keurig. Queen beds very firm. Worst feature: Fold out couch bed...old & uncomfortable. Park your vehicles in the two off street spots and bring your bikes - quick ride to Rehoboth!

Perfect spot for a Dewey Getaway

Great location. Close proximity to the beach. Only two blocks. Interior of cottage clean and comfortable. Owner recently installed new HVAC system with individual room control. Very comfortable for those hot days. New outdoor shower was wonderful. We will definitely come back. Thank you Liz.

The living room couches sit very low, which makes it difficult to get up. I spent a lot of time on the closed in porch, which was good for reading. My TV addict husband toughed it out in the living room since that's where the TV is.

Easy access to the bay and ocean. Park your car and walk everywhere. Clean and friendly place.

Nice place to sleep while you do things during the day. Convenient location with parking. Bike ride away from Rehoboth Beach.

Everything was clean and functional and we had no problems. This is a great place to stay. We had no problems contacting the property owner whenever we had a question, she always had a timely response. We would definitely stay here again.
