We knew we wanted enough space for us to be able to have some peace and quiet while also having plenty of room to congregate all together. This house met both needs! The open concept of the living/dining/kitchen areas is fantastic. There is plenty of seating (easily space for 12+ with extra seating not being used) for meals, playing games, hanging out while people are cooking, etc. The kitchen has truly everything you need to cook for a large group (including two coffee makers!)We had an incident at the house on the first night of our stay that required immediate attention from the rental company and they were responsive and kind, which is always a huge plus (especially on the weekend). The walk to the beach is super quick and direct... and we loved sitting up top on the look out deck as the sun set.

It’s a first class house for later parties. All design elements, comfort levels, and amenities are built into this property. The location to the town of IOP, Sullivans Island, Mt Pleasant, and Charleston is ideal. For the group that likes to cook, swim and sun, and walk to the beach - it’s the perfect house.

This was a beautiful house but needs some serious maintenance. 6th wooden step from bottom at the front is about to split off and could cause an accident. The pool's needs maintaince - some tiles missing revealing green/black coated cement. Botton of pool is rough in places and caused scrapes to the feet of swimmers. But loved the location, space, layout, place just deserves some maintenance. Great view from top level to watch July 4 fireworks. Enjoyed the July 4 neighborhood festivities - wild golf cart parade complete with water guns and water balloons!

We are a three generation family group. Our oldest member has mobility issues. This house was well laid out for him There was a comfortable bedroom with a walk-in shower on the same level as the living areas. The elevator was reliable.

The master bedroom on third floor needs a new mattress. Elevator had some issues. Pool was overlooked for a day but then quickly corrected for proper chemical stability. House was very comfortable for our family of 8 + baby and clean inside with convenient location to beach and downtown. However the pool was disgusting upon arrival (murky green color) when all 3 surrounding neighbors’ pools were pristine blue and inviting. Management did send a crew to clean and it did clear after 1-1/2 days and by Thursday the pool was cloudy green again. . Our pool enjoyment totaled about 2 days of use without concern. In addition, the elevator was not working and the main living room TV worked about 10% of the time.

We were asked if anyone in our party was handicapped, which technically no one is, but the stairs for our elderly mother were difficult to navigate to say the least. The toilet paper roll holder was completely broken in one of the bathrooms along with what appeared to be mold growing on the ceiling in the same bathroom. Other areas of the home would benefit from a more thorough cleaning as well (the pantry refrigerator had what appeared to be old deli meat stuck between the produce drawers, unvacuumed areas in bedrooms and built up grime on hard surface floors in bathrooms and kitchen). It did cause us concern given the current COVID 19 cautions and what was supposed to be increased cleaning standards. I can honestly say I thought the home was cleaner and in better condition during our last visit in 2018.

On a positive note there were some wonderful additions to the home, including the addition of the outdoor kitchen and what appeared to be a fresh coat of paint on the exterior. The pool was wonderful and the short drive to Charleston and short walk to the beach make this an ideal location.

Overall we enjoyed our stay but we are not likely to book this particular property again in the future.

We loved our stay on Isle of Palms. The house was everything we could ask for and more. Beautifully designed and decorated with spacious rooms, great gathering spaces, a well designed and well equipped kitchen it is the perfect vacation home. It is conveniently located with easy access to the beach, shopping and other great locations throughout Charleston. I can't forget to mention the beautiful porches that allow you to enjoy the view, the weather and the company! We will definitely rent again!

Probably the best home I've ever stayed in with regards to everything was in perfect working order the entire week, beds all comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook every meal at the house, which was important to us given the COVID situation. Beach was a short walk and was never crowded. Pool was excellent and the house was well stocked with beach chairs and toys.

The only issue was trash and recycling pickup. We never saw or had any sign of the private company that was to have taken care of it. We handled it ourselves as best we could.

Reviewer Comments: This was the 7th year that we have stayed at 410 Carolina Blvd. for our family beach vacation. We have continued to reserve this property because it accommodates all 11 of our family, and it is within close proximity to the beach. Over the 7 years, we have not seen much improvement in the facilities nor the décor--particularly given the continuing escalating rental rates. At some point, the home needs to have some money put back into it if the owners are going to continue to increase the rates every year. The same bedspreads have been on the beds for the past 7 years. The kitchen items seem to get fewer and fewer. One morning I was going to make muffins for our family, and there was no muffin pan, which had been there in years past. The house is showing wear and tear, but little is being done to freshen it up for returning guests. There seems to be a growing rat problem, as well. Two years ago we had a dying rat in front of the facility that had to be taken away by the management company. This year there was a rat swimming in the pool! I got it out with the swimming pool net and threw it over the back yard fence. We called the management company that had the pool cleaning company do a shock treatment of the pool; however, it does tend to dampen one's interest in swimming after you have seen a rat swimming in the pool. Besides the need for a general refresh of the facilities, there needs to be a deep cleaning of the entire property. The house was not that clean, including the dishes and various kitchen items. The landscaping has definitely gone downhill this year compared to prior years. Much grass was missing from the back yard, and little if any pine straw was on the bedding areas. All in all, the property looks tired. Each year we wonder whether or not we should continue to rent this property, given the escalating rental rates and the decline in the looks of the property.
